Comfort game is exactly the term I wanted to use! I didn't say it because I thought it might be misinterpreted as "the game I play when I don't want to play anything else" which is not true! It's good to the point that you'll enjoy it anytime right?

This game is worth every penny, I’ve played this game for about 4 years and this is the only game I own that no matter what I will always come back to and play.

Its a bargain for what it delivers... even at full retail price. Roughly 4 years of play for me too. I did tap out and missed part of season 3 i think, but i came back and dont see this falling out of regular rotation for some time now.

One of the best reviewers I've had the pleasure to listen to. Articulate, clear, explained the game perfectly. Cheers.

I bought this game 2 months ago and I have to Say that It has, hands down, the best community that I have ever seen. The game Is Amazing and you can see that the devs put their effort in this game (still a bit sad that DRG Lost to RDR2). Sadly I haven't a really good PC so some times the game crashes, but even with this technical problems I promoted my driller some weeks ago. With all of that said, Amazing video and ROCK AND STONE BROTHER!

Rock and STOOOONNNNEE! Thanks for the comment! I'm guessing you were referring to the Steam awards "Labour of love" for 2023? I have no idea how RDR2 won that... what labour? Don't get me wrong, I still enjoy RDR2 but lets face it - we all know it's dead from a development point of view - hell, Rockstar admitted it! DRG got robbed not being recognized for this.

One of the better videos selling this game ive seen, cant seem to think of any points you mightve missed. For anyone a bit iffy on the price, the game goes on very frequent sales of up to 67% off, so its worth wishlisting if you're not willing to play the full 45 AUD. It is completely and utterly worth every penny though, don't get me wrong.

That's kind dude. Thanks. But I'm sure there's plenty I missed ;-). Didn't mention the seamless drop in drop out. Didn't refer to the Beers much - love the bar myself! Solid agree with the frequent sales and wishlisting is a good idea.

DRG is the best thing that happened to my gaming life. Whatever I switch to binge-play into - I always come back to DRG. Rock and Stone brothers!

Its such a solid experience. Ive wanted to cover this game for so long, and when i started thinking about reviews, i knew i had to try and cover this and do it as much justice as i could. My video is more a puff piece than review but i dont care. Its just that good. Thanks for commenting!

Every time I'm playing one class, I wanna play another class. I would be having a blast as gunner, but then I just get the urge to tunnel through to the other chambers , or I would see a wall crawling with bugs and I just wish I was engi with a fat boy grenade. Every class is just so danm fun 😔

Solid agree. There were rumours a while back about a 5th class being added - it never eventuated but i was curious to see what other possible role they could develop... ? Field medic ? Tamer (pet class) ? Town drunk Hard to imagine!

@@FreybeardPC I was thinking about it being an asteroid when I started to play too, until I thought: "How come that asteroid has creatures and biomes, and other asteroids are orbiting it?" And then they said its a planet. XD. But we all make mistakes, and that is what makes us -humans- Dwarfs! ROCK AND STONE BROTHA!

I played this about 2 years ago, i mined for 2h. And when i wanted to return and get the heck outta there a 1 or 2 min countdown started (cant remember the time). I followed the robot back to the ship/capsule but i lost it somwhere on the way. I couldnt find the way back and the countdown finished and i didnt get a thing from all the mining. I quited the game that day. I really liked the game but i hate when you lose zhit like that, timers are stressful and not fun. Is the timer and that mechanic still in the game? And got any tip so that doesnt happened again. Like i said i like the game but that kinda "lose progression" thing is awful.

Yeah the timed return to the droppod mechanic is still present. Not sure if it wouldve changed since youve played, but a while back they introduced green flags that the mule drops to indicate the direction and pathway it takes back to the droppid to make it easier to follow. They improved it by adding arrows a while backto indicate which way to go, so that made it a little easier. Sometimes the caves can be difficult for the dwarves to navigate but easy for the mule, eg a vertical tunnel that mule can just ascend on the walls but the dwarves have to make their own path via driller, gunner or engi traversal skills. Re tips: If you play multiplayer, and even if only one of your party makes it to the droppod out of the four, its still counted as a win... i know "no dwarf left behind!!" But if youre struggling, this is the way to keep your precious minerals from the mission. Things are easier if you voice chat with friends and stick close to a driller at the end sequence - they can just drill direct to the droppod and not worry about following mule. Also, maybe dont stress about mining everything for the first mission or two. Just get the rhythm of events down.. do mission objective, maybe secondary objective if its not out of your way, and then extract. Once youre comfortable with that, start hanging back a bit longer and mining. So yeah: - try coop - do some quick in and out runs - not sure what class you were playing, but maybe try scout for quick easy traversal. Does that help? Anyone else got tips?

@@FreybeardPC Ok, thanks for explaining. I can admit it probably was a noob mistake i did and that i can prevent it better in the future using your tips. I have thought about it after and maybe ill go back to the capsule after mining and when im at the capsule ill trigger the countdown. But maybe ill try multiplayer like you said it seems more fun and safe. Thanks for responding i appreciate it 💪😀👍

darn amazing game. only actual "problem" i've ever had with the game mainly doing solo has been getting lost due to cave gen just not wanting to be nice on some days. had a hunt mission in the sand dunes spawn my objective in an area COVERED in sand gysers, even my exit! a dirt patch i had to mine through had a sand gyser spawn right dead center in it. i've had to sadly take a break from it because of said poor luck. still ridiculously fun when with friends.

@FreybeardPC I just figured out that if hrs carrying something and is within 10m of you and you press the call out button he will throw it to you.

I'm impressed that at 500 hours your gunner in the beginning is un-promoted lol

Hehe. Some of my footage is pretty old .. like 2019 old. The bit where i go through the different roles is roughly what each of my classes is wearing now and their promotions.

What i want for the next season. Weapon, mission, enemy and changes to OC, it feel like some of them are just copy cat of one another or just feel pointless to have.

Some more and different overclocks could be nice. I definitely have found the ones im most comfortable with. Nicest change would be new mission types!

It's just that it's too repetitive honestly. I do like it but I can only get into it for so long then I need a break from it.

Yes. The DLCs are all cosmetic add ins. Different beers, different colours, character skins, outfits etc. They more represent a chance to "support" the developers in their ongoing improvement of the game and free season content. Think of it like making a donation, except you get some shiny stuff too. And its so you dont have to if you cant or dont want to. You can still play all the season content for the base game price... no ongoing subscription or anything. Its an excellent model IMO.
