Thank you for this. I grew up learning to play bass copying Glenn's lines off Trapeze albums. I saw the Burn tour in Chicago. Glenn is a force of nature, and I am proud and humbled by his friendship.

Not only a top class singer and top class bass player, the fact that he was able to get clean after the booze and drugs is a measure of what a strong and inspirational man he is. Long may he reign.

It's nice to see rockstars going from cooky to humble and listening beings as they get older. And also that you get a whiter smile with age. With that said, Glenn is a wonderful singer!

Looks like Glenn has some new choppers...and a hat he likes.

Great interview with timeless Glenn, this guy is still rushing forward! I love Phil Lynott too;)

Glenn Hughes is right, the only person connected to Deep Purple with whom he would share a live stage would be with David Coverdale and, who knows, with Ritchie Blackmore as well. As for Mr. Ian Gillan, he never wanted to sing live songs from the albums Burn, Stormbringer and Come Tase The Band. And the reason for that is well known: his arrogance, pride and massive ego never let him sing songs by Deep Purple's MK3 and MK4 lineups.

11:26 Possibly the shenanigans at the RNR Hall of Fame, where GH and DC were not allowed to sing with the current DP.

@@krisbritwres394 It's more of a commentary on the rock-and-roll "counterculture" idea. Most of these people became famous by being anti-establishment, anti-conformity, etc. but then you see them now and every one of them looks the same, lives in the same city, the same type of house, same clothing style, etc. I guess it's the circle of life or something.
