Tori! You are so on the money. I have been reflecting on my family dynamics and the patterns within our lives. I am the one changing the pattern with my own children having constantly gone through the same cycles and now after breaking away from them I see that my children need different and I know my parents did the best they could at the time. There is so much more education about parenting these days. I walked away from abuse and codependent partners with addictions wanting someone to fix them and carry their burdens in order to give my children a different path to walk. It was hard but SO worth it.

I’m 41 years old. Product of two drug addicted parents. Fast forward, my mother lost her mom to a freak accident when she was 3. She stayed stuck. My sister and I called her to gain clarity, she ghosted us 😅😅😢😢😂😂😂. I have to decided to keep moving forward even though it caused many obstacles in my own life but I am letting her go with love as it’s still painful for her to speak about her own wounding. Don’t want to force her. I’ll keep bumping my head 😂😂😂😂 but with Grace. I wasn’t the best mom either but I had no support. My family was not taking on anymore responsibility when it came to children, well at least my children because they are following my mother’s lead smh. Too much but I’m still here and trying to keep going. I have back pains smh.

I awakened this morning and had a profound awakening moment. Monumental!!! The balance and harmony I needed to understand why I was procrastinating in a situation over the past couple of years was revealed to me. It has to do with my childhood relationship with my father. Profound!! It’s because of a fear I had because of both he and my mom, but my dad took the actions against me. I was protecting myself in the current situation the same way I used to try and protect myself from his personality and actions. God bless this revelation. Amen.
