Well, it doesn't really matter which of us got put on a time-out- we mirror each other heavily, so it affects us both. There's nothing stopping me from doing whatever I want, I just don't want to for some reason. Yes, yes, I know, very secret- that's what I get for telling my team that I like surprises. They told me my prayers were being answered, and I only prayed for one thing, and I was pretty specific. She doesn't need to not have friends, but if she wants to be with me, they'll have to be a better class of friends. I'm sort of an old-school 50's atomic family guy. I like having kids, a nice house, dogs in the backyard, grilling out, Hallmark-style holidays and nice things- she does too, she just forgot for a while because of the bullshit she read on the internet and at school. Well, that sounds nice. Not real sure if my TF crossed the line to where I can't take her back, but I'd rather she didn't. It wasn't entirely sudden- my wife and I weren't really clicking anymore, and then she died. Her family basically just demanded that I give them money after not speaking to me for months after the funeral, so I told 'em to fuck off. They hadn't bothered to be a real part of our lives for years anyway. With the girl, a time-out makes sense... it's not a common situation, and people are gonna gossip a lot if we get together. I'll be fine for me, because I'm a guy- being married to both a mother and her daughter to end up with a pretty 18 year old wife would just give me legendary status among other men, but she's a young lady, it's probably harder for her to withstand that- women are mean as hell to one another. It's not like it sounds- I never manipulated or tried to force her to do anything, and made sure she had her own car and enough cash to move along if I was out of line. That girl and I fell in love the first time we saw one another- it's just one of those "the heart wants what the heart wants" things.
