58C really that sauna was cold as a fridge, it needs to be at least 70-80c.

@@AshAndDan. I've enjoyed a nice 90C° sauna in a hotel/holiday resort in Oban, Scotland so being Scottish is no excuse 😄 But now that I think about it, my Scottish friends looked at me like I was a crazy person when I told them what temperature the sauna was 😂 They went in when it was still warming up and like 50-65C°. I refused to go with them because it was too cold at that point 😂

80°C is a normal family sauna temperature, 100°C you get in a proper wood fired sauna.

That too depends pretty much on sauna (and the saunor). But I've enjoyed anywhere from 60 to well over 100 degrees, but the feel is very different in small and large saunas. A big smoke sauna with maybe 110 degrees still feels relatively ''soft'' and nice with good airflow, while in a very small electric sauna, I don't think I'll last long, especially when throwing water. - another Finn... :D

One thing when sledding... Put your feet in the sled, otherwise your feet will keep digging the snow onto your face all the time 😅 Then try to control the speed with your feet only at times if you have to. Use your hands to steer and slow down the sled a bit. It is better if you only steer with your hands, try to keep the sled stable and go! It can of course pick up some speed but there is not snow on your face 😊 The more speed the more fun if you are good at steering 😅

Good tips! It was much easier to sled on the road at the time we were there as the snow was very deep on the sledding track as we were there off season! I’d love to go back when the track was open properly to test our speed and skills 😎😂 thanks for watching 👍

You can steer the sled or "pulkka" as we finns say, by dragging arm in ground. Draggin left arm makes sled turn left... Sleding in deep snow... Well the snow is more than half of fun.

6:55 A little correction: you were not "in the middle of the Arctic Circle" but in the middle of the arctic Finland :) The Arctic Circle is situated a lot more south, runs through the Rovaniemi region, the circle marks the southernmost latitude at which you can experience the polar night in winter and the midnight sun in summer. The further north you progress, the more pronounced these effects become. You can say the Arctic Circle is the gate to the arctic region.

About auroras. If it’s snowing, like when you first went out to look for them, it's going to be cloudy. And if it’s cloudy, it means you cannot see the sky. And if you cannot see the sky, well… :) But, we’re a developed nation, and we have solutions for these problems, just ask your nearest Finnish friend about an app that can inform you about the earth and space weather and alarm you when its time to go out and look at the sky. :) Locationwise, you need to be up north to have a reasonable chance to see something during a short visit, like Rovaniemi at minimum.

Another Finn here.. who cares how it is pronounced as long as the word is understood what is means - in English it is often pronounced like in the video and every one understands it. For non English speaking Finns, well, they should have learned in the school already, so no excuse there!

Yet Another Finn Here: Exactly, as long as you're understood, prefect pronounciation doesn't matter, vocabulary is king. In my age group (old, 40++), we were basically always taught the english grammar basics over the vocabulary. In our culture, this often leads to the fear of using it at all, unless you're doing it perfectly. Und lass mich nicht mit Deutsch anfangen eller svenska. :)
