Deep fried steak bites (ribeye chicharrones!) | Jess Pryles

How to make Deep Fried Steak Bites - also known as ribeye chicharrones.
Every bit as indulgent as they sound, these deep fried chunks of ribeye steak are fried in lard or tallow for MAXXXX meat flavor. They're super crispy and served on a bed of cool, creamy guacamole.

Nice! But lard would be better and healthier! You need to get rid the seed oils! Smoke point for lard is 370°F

Jess, I had not thought of using the Hardcore Meatchelada for guacamole, but I will use it in my next batch. Thanks! Looking forward to buying the lager sized portions/containers!

I'm gonna try this in the Fry Daddy using bacon fat. I always have so much bacon fat I end up having to throw some of it away. This recipe will help me use it up. 👍

Tried this with sirloin because I didn't have ribeye. I am sure ribeye is better but dang it was fantastic! Wow Would it still be called chicharrones or am I going to have to name it something else 😋

recipe sounds wonderful! But you might want to try to align your video and audio together. It's so far off I found myself wondering if the sound track was from a different video. But again, the recipe sounds marvelous, and I have got to try it! thanks!

Love your cooking but I'm confused by the chicharrone label. Chicharrones are pork rinds, ribeye is pretty different from that.

make about three pieces and taste before you cut up and throw a whole ribeye in the oil. it wasn't terrible but it is the worst thing I've ever done to any steak.

What's sacrilegious is calling a wasted piece of ribeye "chicharron." Just because you deep fry something does not make it a chicharron. Its good to learn as much about something before appropriating it. 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️

  • @gzus1482

@@JessPryles I won't do such thing because those tourist restaurants that you speak of are most likely not owned by the mexicans "running" said restaurants. Matter a fact, even deep fried pork meat (which is what chicharron is made from, pork) is not called chicharron, its called "carnitas." So I don't see how you can call deep fried steak "chicharron." Probably the Aussie owners just label things as they please or think they should for sales. 🤦‍♂️😂😂😂
