I am from Meghalaya. I have a feeling that one day entire north east will become kukiland considering the huge number of influx to north east from Myanmar without any documents. Once they land in India they get ST benefits.

Yes, exactly that's their evil plan. The Central government is supporting this hidden agenda against the indigenous people of Manipur and eventually spread all over North east India. Sharp from the heart of a meities for your eloquent speech, ma'am Guite and I agree a lot of your speech. There is no justification for killing anyone in the name of who is right or wrong. The fact of the matter is the meities are not against the existing kukis of Manipur but that of the illigal reflux created out of political mismanagement. The death of both the communities are for real and is a great personal loss towards their respective families of both the communities. The meities don't want a SA/UT in an already existing state, my kukis brethren. There is no gain in any form of division rather any lack of progress in the hills must be dealt with in the right manner giving pressure to the right authority in a democratic manner. 😢

Fact is fact. Can never be denied.Some sections of the Meitei are indeed brutal.At the same time we must not overlook the fact that there were some other sections of Meitei hiding and saving the kuki. Some were saved ,while some others experienced inhumanity. Let us also not forget about the inhuman act encountered by some Meitei women. They also met the same faith like the kuki. Here we must realise that both good and bad constitute a whole. This is also fact. Both have suffered immensely. What's the benefit of inciting violence amongst family members. We,the kuki,the naga,and the Meitei,are so intertwined that we have become parts of the same body. So looking back the best solution is forgiveness, from both,and starting to look at the broader picture. We are not enemies.The enemy is at the gate, impersonating as a friend.

@@sok94 hills were never ever been a part of meitei kingdom but we came under single administration and in that administration imphal came to be the capital so cause we are in one administration all the govt servants wanna settled in or at the place where they could have more easily access with not so much usage of energy and time so they find home in imphal and they've been settling in the state capital. Just because of the population growth of meiteis there's no right even in the constitution that tribal areas or hills should be exploit without the consent of the landlord and that's how the constitution protects the bottom tier people's or community tribals in India and that's how it comes Kukis are in against and are protecting but i would let know that Kuki people let meiteis settled in Kuki areas but not by the Nagas. Like as you've said be in the position of Kukis then you would know better it's the sole utmost rights to protects their lands. And now all the Kuki Vengs in imphal are all under the watch of Meiteis and Kukis wouldn't ever return back to that valley of dead. We've been living and serving Manipur govt for the past 4 or 5 decades for the betterment of the state but now it's all crashed down not be erect again in its original state.
