Especially Uber and Lyft drivers because of how they get paid. A lot of these folks are either paying their way through school or taking care of an ill family member. Sometimes it's just a matter of time and money. If they have kids that they're constantly carting around to activities, plus work, other day-to-day stuff, they can lose track. They know it's bad, but then they need the time to be without their vehicle and an extra few hundred to have a pro do it. I'll never get the visible food, though. Stuff lost under seats is bad enough, but where you can see it? Naw. Makes me wonder if they might've just gotten back from a family trip.

Between having to do everything for them (cook, clean the house, wash the laundry, pay the bills, school, etc.) I barely get time to take a shower or sit down and eat. Now my van ain't that dirty I mean it doesnt have food or anything thrown around but it does have stains and I have the equipment to clean it but I just dont have the time to do so. If I had to choose to clean the house or the car the house is definitely my first priority.

I honestly think this is a Canadian thing. My grandparents were from Winnipeg, and man their cars were ALWAYS trashed like this. Always all kinds of rotting fruit, bread, food everywhere, stuff everywhere, tissues everywhere. I asked my Grandpa once why his cars were like that and he just said that is how Canadians are. I think in the middle provinces there is a lot of traveling involved for a lot of them so they have to pack a lot of stuff in the car in the event they break down in the snow and get stranded etc. Some people are just pigs also. LOL
