Those who say these homes are staged have never had to live in homes like this. Depression is a terrible thing and it makes people not want to do anything. When they realize they need to clean, it gets overwhelming and that makes them not able to clean, so it just keeps getting worse. I love that you help these people. I had to move my 22 year old son home last December. He was diagnosed with bipolar depression. It is far beyond depression. His apartment was worse then the ones I see her clean. I had to clean his apartment in one day and get his stuff out. It was very hard. I had to bring laundry and dishes to my home dirty. It took me over a week to wash all his dirty laundry. Everything he owned. Smelled so bad I had to wash many loads 2 or 3 times. I help him keep his room clean in my house now. It is still to hard for him to just pick things up or just get out of bed. I just finished having cancer. Then he mived home. A few minths ago I had a stroke. Every time I go to the hopspital, for daily migraines, I come home to a big mess. But I am happy my sin is getting help and meds still.

@@JoJo-op5xy There is a HUGE difference between high-functioning and low-functioning depression. You could even fall somewhere in the middle. So if you are using the "trick" to pick up after yourself then you definitely aren't low-functioning. It can get so bad that you no longer shower or even get up to use the bathroom. You should really open your mind and realize that just because you haven't experienced something so debilitating, doesn't mean someone else hasn't either.

@@JoJo-op5xydepression is a spectrum maybe you and I can pick stuff after ureselves but some people can't shower, eat, and hardly stay alive, think about it in any other sickness. someone with a high fever, they can't think straight, you wouldn't tell someone with high fever "why don't you just pick after yourself" because you know they can't you know they are fighting for their lives. you might feel empty lost, in pain, and in despair as well but it's not so bad that you are pretty much disabled, which is great, I'm glad for you that you never got that bad, but some people do, and judging them only make the problem worst.

Losing a loved one, living through a traumatic event, or dealing with depression can complicate life. But she shows us that it's okay to reach out for help. It can start with cleaning, talking to someone, or reaching out for help. A step forward today is a step further than yesterday.
Thank you so much for understanding and explaining about depression without judgement. I am less ashamed of myself and starting to put my house in order

I think some people say Auri stages these houses because they can’t believe how dirty and cluttered a home can become. I have cleaned homes for 40 years and I have seen it all! @auri, since I clean in your way, I am so much happier and need less time for cleaning.. since I have always been too lazy to clean, and hated it, I really love it now!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️ thank you!
I love the mini shower next to the toilet to wash oneself. Sad there aren't any in Australia and US. It should be a must in all kinds of home and everywhere.
Auri, you are so adorable! I love your videos and your cute commentary. You are an angel. Bob, if you're reading this, I'm so sorry for your loss, my deepest condolences. I'm really happy you have a clean place now. That's what you deserve! Onwards and upwards my friend. Well done asking for help! I wish you nothing but the best. You deserve a good life!
🥰 I love it! I’m using Scrub Daddy now and scraper & microfiber just as you’ve instructed & oh my gosh, it’s so great! Today I Cleaned the sludge at bottom of fridge I’ve been avoiding lol
Glad to know you are coming to the UK..can tell you straight away that moulding and mildew is a problem here, even in well maintained houses due to the weather.Excited to watch the UK house cleaning

Same in Houston, Texas. I run a de-humidifier pretty much year round, and have to empty the container twice a day. So far, no problems keeping the mold gone. Mold remediation is not fun. It runs until it gets to 48% humidity, then shuts itself off. I still want some humidity for the wood floors/furniture and to keep our skin from drying out. (P.S. Our plants/trees LOVE that water!)

Hi Auri: I live in the USA and love your videos!!! I grew up before the internet was a thing...as a matter of fact; we didn't have color TV when I was born. I did have an uncle who married-for love-to a girl who was 15 years old, and they were together until my uncle died of cancer about 15 years ago. His wife was not much of a cook or housekeeper because she was just a child herself, so their home was really dirty. It was so bad that their children were taken away from them. I wasn't even a teenager at the time, but I spent a summer with them before I went to junior high school and cleaned their home. They weren't hoarders or anything like that, but their home was full of trash and had never been properly cleaned. The summer I stayed with them I cleaned their entire home and washed all their dishes. Your videos bring back memories of just how much I love cleaning really dirty homes. As I grew into adulthood, I realized just how much I love cleaning and how therapeutic it was for me. I am recently retired after working for 45+ years and I love that I have time to clean and organize my home like I have wanted to all my life. My first marriage ended in divorce, and I went back to school so I could support myself and my children as a single mom. So many times, I was overwhelmed with trying to work and go to school fulltime so I could earn a living wage. I remarried after my baby was 11 years old, still working fulltime and then started over raising a child from my second marriage. I was active not only as a working mom but in church also. I had no time to do any of the housework that I needed and wanted to do. My spouse worked 6 days a week and being in the family of the pastor of our church put an even greater burden on me as a working mom. Cleaning was the only therapy I had because I could always see the results/benefits of my labor. If I had been born 30 years later, I could have been much more successful doing what you do today! As fate would have it, I spent 5 years at university to earn less than I did as a factory worker. It wasn't until I was in my late 40's that I was aware of the internet and another 10 to 15 years that You Tube was even beginning to become well known. From my own life experience, I know that what you do is needed and so beneficial to those who can't keep up with the demands of daily life. If I weren't in my mid 60's now, I would love to be doing what you are doing now!!! That would be my dream job if I were in my 20's, 30's or even 40's now. Keep doing what you are doing because there are so many people out there who need you and if you ever find yourself in the foothills of NC, USA-and need a follower to help with cleaning just let me know. I may not be as young as you, but I sure do love to clean a filthy house and I have all the time in the world to get it done.
Hi Auri! Want to give you an idea! In one of those places, clean and organize absolutely everything, including clothes and closets, to give us new tips and new contents for the videos 🤩 love your channel, I already watch all the videos 😅

When you were cleaning the bathroom, there must have been many people like me thinking "why don't we have completely tiled walls and floors in our bathrooms with a hose so we can clean like Auri"?

I think every American bathroom should have a floor drain at minimum. If I build a bathroom, it will be waterproof up to the ceiling. The entire room. We can make these rooms; every gym and public school PE shower is proof.

I ALWAYS think this. 😊 Not so much tile because I have that and I struggle with the exact grout issue in this video. Up til today!!! Now I finally know how to restore it to white❤ Thank you, Aurikatarina! But if we ever remodel, I’m including a sprayer that can be used all over the bathroom, and a drain!

@@cheridavis6684 Make sure that you install that "sprayer" (= bidee shower or a hand shower as they're called here in Finland) next to the toilet bowl. Because they're not used just for rinsing the bathroom here. I use it to clean up myself "down there", especially when I'm menstruating. I can just shower my lady parts when sitting in the toilet and use toilet paper or a cloth to dry, without having to strip and get my feet wet. 😁 This is why we have those in our toilets and bathrooms!

It's rare here in Scotland too. I would love a bathroom that's completely tiled with a drain in the floor. I've been in every type of house council, housing association, privately owned old and newly built. The only time I saw them is when I was a home care assistant working with the elderly and disabled people and they had to have it put I specially for them, it didn't come with the house

Whoever came up with the idea of good drains, and hot hosing in the bathroom - BRILLIANT. I doubt I ever will be able to build but if I ever do, even though I am unlikely to let my home get this bad (but who knows?!) ... but for future owners, and for government housing - this shoud be a MUST HAVE.
You have such a huge heart, Aurikatariina! I love watching all your videos! And knowing you clean all of these houses for free?? You are an amazing woman for doing all of that hard work! Keep making videos, and I'll continue to watch them all.. Sending love and light! ❤❤
Omg I can't believe people think you're staging these homes! I can say 100% that these homes are really like this because having had severe depression on and off throughout the years, my home has been through the same "staging"! I would happily apply for your help Aurikatariina as you're visiting London but sadly I don't need the help anymore but I would if I needed it. Bless you ☺️
Thanks to you I’ve added a scraper to my cleaning arsenal. The only problem is that my husband likes it too, and keeps losing it! Thank you for another amazing video! 🥰
I always imagine how happy tenants must be in the days after your compassionate cleaning. Not only is there surrounding clean but they have been loved.

I have seen many of your videos, and love everyone of them. I really feel for Bob, i moved in to my moms House too, and after she past, i had to move bc it was too hard. And, when you sayd that just taking out the trash can make you keep going, i felt that, was almost about to cry. My home is not perfect, and maybee a little bit dirty, but your videos help alot, so thank you for just being you and make amazing videos 🥺😍🧼.
This is the first episode of yours that made me cry. I understand Bob. I lost my mother last year in August 2021, and when you described grieving and what it does to you, I felt everything. I'm still grieving and what you're did for Bob really touched me. I know he apprecited that. I watch your videos to encourage me and motivate me that I can do this. Thank you for making these videos. I hope you come to America and help people like Bob. You're a wonderful person.

Dear Aurika, you are doing a great job and I have some recommendations for you for security precaution. 1)Must wear a mask while cleaning such dusty home. 2)must unplug the washing machine /stove etc. before wipe it wet. 3)Using dishwasher is nature friendly but in bathrooms some bleacher will be more sanitary.

This home is one of my favorites under the mess, it's a very beautiful house!
pro-tip for getting the inside of a toilet extremely clean and white: mix a liter of very hot water with a cup of laundry detergent and pour it inside your toilet. Let it sit for at least half an hour. Start scrubbing with your toilet brush. Repeat if neccessary. Should look like a new toilet by the end ;)
Such an amazing transformation! It really is a beautiful home! Your hair also looked super pretty, Auri 🌸
God bless you , for all of the good work you do for others . 🙏🏻❤️
Looking forward to see how you tackle the differences in UK homes! (no floor drains, gas hobs) etc

My depression kept me from cleaning my kitchen and I've been eating out a lot. I used to cook and keep a clean kitchen. Every room is clean in my house, but that kitchen 😩After seeing this video my kitchen is NOT bad and this inspired me to clean. Happy I clicked on this video. 💞
I really appreciated & loved how you explained depression and cleaning the house. You are exactly right. My home isn't like your shows, but I do have to push myself to keep it up. I've had depression since I was 12, so I get it. Thank you for all that you do for people. God Bless you and keep you.

You are sooo nice! You gave me motivation to clean my bathroom lol! Im talking to myself while cleaning like i'm making videos about deep cleaning hahah!!! ❤
Thank you for making these videos, I truly can’t overstate just how impactful and comforting this is to people living like this. My home was very dysfunctional and very dirty when I was a kid, so I had gotten used to the smell of mold and the health issues it causes before I even hit double digits. It does terrible things to your self esteem and motivation. While I’m no longer at a point where opening my bedroom door meant covering all the holes in my face so gnats wouldn’t fly in, I still often struggle taking care of myself. This morning I woke up struggling to breathe properly, my face felt incredibly dry and my nose had bled overnight. I’ve been avoiding cleaning the one source of mold present in my room-despite how embarrassing it is, mold scares me so much. It brings back a lifetime of bad memories. Smelling it is distressing, but looking and getting near it is even more distressing, so it ends up being a vicious cycle of making excuses. watching your videos helps ease me into beginning to clean and approaching mold without fear. cleaning has always been so stressful for me but you do it in such a way where it doesn’t feel like there’s anything to be distressed about. ❤
