Humans put them selves together to what they see and who they are right now. But when God puts people together, it's done for who God knows who you'll be and how your life will be later on in life all the way till the end of your life. So God is thee best match maker. When your life is surrendered to Jesus and you're ok with not knowing it all, You're in a healthy place for a help mate. If God has chosen for you to even be married in the first place.

I don't think women should be just a category. In a Christian relationship, it is for the glory of God. God uses two people to help develop his or her character for His kingdom. No one is perfect, but everyone has value. There is some good in the worst of us, and some bad in the best of us. Seeking God for the right companion is the answer, but most people don't wanna wait on it. The true happiness is being content within ourselves, with God. Blessings

The problem with both of these brothers is neither of them stated they are inquiring of the Lord. I did not hear them say that they are praying and asking God to direct and lead them to their wife. He knows all and is it not written that "His thoughts for us are for good and not evil?" Therefore they should ask the Lord. My husband did. Before he meet me, he inquired of the Lord to lead him to the woman he would marry. He no longer wanted to be single and desired a wife. Shortly thereafter we were saying introduced. Though he met me, he still asked the Lord to reveal with clarity about me. Once he got the greenlight for God, he pursued me like crazy. Initially I did not really respond but his persistence piqued my interest and it paid off. I am so in love with my husband. Jesus never makes mistakes.

That is some real talk. I am not married yet, but my prayer was for the Lord to prepare me for my husband, that I can be ready to love him and be the wife whom He has already chosen for me. His plan, His Will, His choice for my life because His will be done. I want the Best God has for me and hearing your story makes me know that including God in your plans and letting Him lead you, will get you the best! Great commentary on Melo @ Jonathan… I never could figure out what the issue was with him (Melo), but your inference gives us a telescopic viewpoint- which is rather insightful.

I am definitely the support type. I've always wondered why I never had a passion for creating or being my own boss. However, I'm great at helping others get where they're trying to go.

I love the sports analogies in this conversation about relationships. This is the perfect glimpse into how men think. As a middle school teacher I often use sports analogies when communicating content to my male students. It’s part of their language…respect & honor. I don’t even watch sports like that, but I hear the heart of these men. Being single in my 30’s I am learning to match my vulnerability to the men I meet. That was good advice, don’t date in secret. There is safety in the multitude of counsel (especially godly counsel).

I truly believe that living life without love or with the fear of getting hurt is not really living. You have to be willing to take the chance because it could be amazing or at least have amazing moments. It's scary for sure but life without love or the chance of love is not truly living.

It is not that hard, two broken people, present themselves to God every day. They ask Jesus to help them with everything. They honor and respect each other, based on the word of God. Any formula other than that is a ship wreck, why? Because life is not consistent. Things change, and people change. God know the future, and He never change. Yeshua is the Love of my life, He accepts me just as I am. The Greatest husband in the world.

This is where most people fall short. They think “they”/humans are supposed to use their limited worldly & finite logic/intuition, when God is Who we should be leaning on for EVERYTHING! He sees the hearts and minds behind the faces. We aren’t supposed to only seek Jesus for careers, what house to buy, or car to drive. God created all of us to lean on Him in everything we face in life-from starting relationships to building empires.

Exactly. Confusing as heck. Making NO sense. Dee1's simplicity is magnifying that Jonathan is still very worldly. That's why I take these Christian artist with a grain of salt. He just needs to say he wants a Christian Beyonce/Rhianna. Johnathan is giving single till he's in his 50s and 60s like Pastor Noel Jones. 😂😂 He's mincing words and giving word salad cause he's sounding shallow compared to the CLARITY Dee1 is bringing. Jonny...I totally understand your perspective...hence especially why you're willing to extend grace if s/o is willing to makes sacrifice for the relationship. My question is why is you still single though? I also appreciate the fact that you understand that the long shot is gonna take work. I believe that anyone who loves and is committed to their s/o will take necessary steps to make the relationship work. It takes 2 to work with to have the good that you mentioned about. I see dating as a period of time to collect information and/or facts about the other person in order to make an informed decision about marriage. If information are misconstrued then it can delay or derail the process of getting towards marriage. I front load too...its my way of testing them to see if they're really for the long haul or not.

i was asking the same question…why is he still single?! maybe it’s where he lives and i *only* say that bc ive heard dating in LA is hard or maybe bc he travel often? idk but in my opinion traveling often can also make the dating pool more vast! hmm💭 overall, i do agree with the fact that it’s way harder to date in the generation like Jon said at the very beginning! i’m still watching though, so why he’s still single may be answered by him. lol

As a 54 year old man it can be easy. What’s important to you? What are you willing to sacrifice for the one you love who is actually you (“the two become one flesh”)? Take your questions and request to God about decisions between you and your wife because God will never cause division. If you both disagree then don’t make a move until God gives a clear sign and if He doesn’t then don’t and if He changes one of y’all’s hearts then do it.

Brothers and sisters. We have to understand that when we say yes To God and choose to die to self l, we are rejecting OUR will and the worlds standards. We rely on God's will for us. Comparing ourselves to worldly couples, their standards and worldly standards is not being in the Will of God. We are to be set apart from the world. We should be the example for the world in Jesus' name.If you have a platform remember Who put you there and WHY. Most of us are not married yet because marriage is also a ministry. It takes spiritual maturity, a true Dependency on the Father and a renewing of the mind. There are stories in the Bible of blessed marriage/ couplings (Ruth for example) and married couples who were rooted in the will of God (Priscilla and Aquila). There's also stories of people of God who moved out side of the will of God and got into relationships (Samson and David for example).The heart is deceptive.
