Diane “Dee Dee” Lennon made her debut on The Lawrence Welk as part of “The Lennon Sisters” on Christmas Eve 1955 with sisters Peggy, Kathy, and Janet. The quartet’s high school classmate, Larry Welk, son of Lawrence Welk brought them to the attention of his father. Welk who was sick in bed at the time, was so impressed that he immediately booked them for that week's show.

Loved to watch the Lennon sisters I was 3 when my mother started going to the Aragon ballroom she was friends with some of the band members I remember Aladdin at our house.

I always watched the show when my mother went to the Aragon ballroom. She was friends with some of the band members l8ke Bob Ledo. One night we came home a little late but there was no mistaking Aladdin he was at our front door I was so excited I don't know what was up. I liked to see the Lennon sisters plus we all lived in Venice.

Love the Lennon Sisters. True legends of the Larwence Welk show from the mid 50s untill late 60s. Its ashamed what happened to their dad . Too bad that Peggy and Diane no longer perform. They were replaced by Mimmi Lennon in the 90s.
I wonder if DeeDee ever opened her bookstore/bakery shop. I'd certainly be a regular!
