It's a shame to put that dog through that. Go get the ducks your self see how you like it. That dog loves you... why would you treat him like that? Ice is sharp like glass. I love duck hunting. But the owner of the dog to me is a really cold hearted person. Not sorry.

I have a retriever and duck hunt as well. What you would not understand since you probably do not have a hunting dog is how much the dogs genuinely LOVE what they do.@@ChrisSmith-sp8li

Great pond hunt. Make those birds come in. Call they wanted in. I always camo my face on every hunt. My mentor 30 years ago taught me that. It works. Yo u guys did good though. Thanks for sharing.

It was a little tall but the GoPro also makes it look further than it was. I'd say it was between 35-40 yardss

@@HokeOutdoors Nice. The GoPro makes it look like it is 65-70. It's always difficult to tell ranges with the wide angle lens.

Anyone else notice the huge chem trails in this video. When have you ever seen clouds in straight lines like that? Never.

Unfortunately we didn't. Two of the three were able to get back up with the flock and we didn't have a great mark on the one Chase went looking for

I personally won't let my dog go in the ice

A shame to see so many birds sailed from taking high shots and rear shots…

@@HokeOutdoors it happens! I think they would have circled and done it dirty. Next time! I can’t wait to travel through Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Alabama, and Florida next season. Spending next years winter in Florida. Starting the season next year in September in Alaska. #RVlife #ChasingDucks

Lol let's cool the jets a little bit, to say he's lucky to be alive is just ludicrous. If you wouldn't have hunted your dog in those conditions that's all good but Wade wasn't in any danger during this hunt. If watching a retriever do what it loves in tough conditions bothers you, just don't watch.

@@HokeOutdoors I have handled retriever's for years, you are too in experienced to understand the danger, obviously, what would you have done if he had gone under that ice in water that was obviously over your head and ice you could not get through? You have no idea what you are talking about, neither does the dog's owner.
