Kathleen, they are looking so good! I love how you used the yellow stencil for tuck pockets. That is really thinking outside the box and how great it looks with the blue. So fun to see how you are making these journals. Similar but different, but both eclectic. I hope you are having as much fun creating them as I am watching to see what you're going to do next. Welcome Sheila! I’m glad you found me. The ribbons are what is called seam binding and it’s 100% rayon. It’s a sewing notion and sometimes can be found as a vintage item, but it is still a thing and you can buy it in the notions aisle in a fabric store. I buy mine on Amazon in spools of 100 yards. It’s also sold at Zipperstop.com. I always have a spool of white and cream colors and then hand dye to match my project if I need to. The vintage stuff is much more substantial and more like sturdy ribbon. The modern stuff is thinner, but it makes a nice crinkle in the journal. Try looking it up as “100% rayon seam binding” on Amazon or Etsy.
