Deconstructing Glass Onion - The Beatles (Isolated Tracks)

Музыка

Glass Onion like I Am The Walrus was written by John to intentionally mess with listeners who read too much into their songs. It has references to previous Beatle songs like Fixing A Hole, I Am The Walrus, Strawberry Fields, Lady Madonna, and The Fool on the Hill.
The song's backing track was recorded on September 11th, 1968 with Chris Thomas stepping in as producer as George Marin was on holiday. 34 takes were recorded with John on his Gibson J-160E, George possibly on his Sonic Blue Fender Stratocaster, Paul on his Fender Jazz Bass, and Ringo on his new 1968 Ludwig Hollywood drum set combined with his 1964 Ludwig Classic Black Oyster. Take 33 was decided to be the best take. Further overdubs took play on the 12th and 13th with new vocal, snare, cymbal, tambourine, and piano overdubs. Along with instruments referencing songs such as a Mellotron for Strawberry Fields or recorders for Fool on the Hill. At this time the song ended with tape loops which can be heard on take 33 released on Anthology • Glass Onion (Take 33 /... . After returning from his vacation in October George Martin unimpressed with elements, such as the tape loops and Mellotron, he recorded a new string part on October 10th, 1968.
These isolations were made using both available 5.1 mixes, the original stereo mix, and Take 33. The electric guitar part was stitched together using the best isolation from all four sources. The drums were also mixed in a slightly wider stereo image.

Such funky drumming! I love the variations Ringo is doing in each portion.

The ending strings were blocked so I had to leave them out.

That's so ridiculous. They just do these things because they can. Keep up the good work and I'm going to go listen to the end because I guess they don't need to be isolated 😅

According to Ken Scott, the bass in this song is played by John Lennon in a Fender VI. Similar to "Rocky Raccoon", "Piggies", "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" and "Helter Skelter". Harrison played it in "Honey Pie".

George Harrison pegou todo o acorde que Lennon toca nessa música e quase igualmente utilizou em My Sweet Lord.

Msvep first to separate it out into drums, bass, vocals, other. Then Lalalai if I need a specific part like the piano or guitar. I usually also use the atmos, 5.1, or 7.1 mix as well as the instruments are more spread out through the different channels.

Great job !! I never noticed how beautiful the string arrangement is, and the acoustic guitar part is great ... They could release a version with just vocals and strings

It's Paul on his Fender Jazz bass. Listening to the live take here: kzread.info/dash/bejne/gpeilNSycZzYl7A.htmlsi=ceW9sbTX3XwuxcMv . John is on acoustic, Paul on bass, George on Acoustic, and Ringo on drums. The new boxset along with Ian MacDonald also point to this lineup.

@@isolatedstems , Don't be ridiculous, stop reinventing history. What you are doing is very stupid and evil.
