My tip is make your bed, put a sheet over the bed THEN put everything on your bed off the floor and everywhere you can see stuff, have a bin, a keep and donate boxes, vac and clean your bedroom then sort every out to where it goes cleaning the items along the way. 💐

You can make a scrapbook. The best choice for that is a binder. Take pictures of this items and write on the a sort story. In that way you will not have that fear any more. You can also read it if you need to remember your path.

Every bit cleaned is progress! And a whole bag of trash is great!! Today I cleaned out my sticker drawer, took out the trash and put some new zip ties up on my plastic fencing. Also touched up the paint on two items I will be hanging in my kitchen. Not a lot done, but this is the first day in a week in a half I’ve been well (head cold) and the heater was repaired. Did I mention I’m a senior?! 😅 Not too bad for an old gal. Wishing you a good move. ❤

With every trash bag that leaves, that's one step closer to your goal. Using a timer helps me to get things done that I'm not excited about. Usually, when the timer goes off, I'll resent it again and keep going. Getting started is the hardest part. Great job.

You did a real good job ! Not only about the decluttering/organizing part, but also with your mindset, and your ability to recognize what what the blocking point. I'm very confident that you will succeed.

Hola! From Dominican Republic. I was inmediatable connected with your content! This is me like 15 years in this road! My grand grand mother always told, is before everything thanks God for a new day, take a glass of water and get in the shower, I like to put in comfortable clothes like exercises tipe, open your windows so the grace of the lord come enter your house. I try to do this every time I need to declutter or clean my space.

I don't use organizers with dates. I just get blank lined notebooks and I can add my own dates at top of page and I can skip a day or week if I want.

Whenever I donate something I visualize the recipient as feeling as much joy in receiving it (freely given) as the joy I feel in parting with it. I have been through many "rough patches" in my 77 years on this planet. Especially during my first few years I only remember a few highlights (it was not the best childhood). Through the years I have remembered only a few highlights. What was especially helpful for me was when I went to college (late in life) and I did a doctoral dissertation that was an auto ethnography in which I dwelled on 3 particularly difficult eras in my life. I had to dig very deep to describe them (very painful to remember). The result was that the purging of these eras and placing them on paper was extremely helpful to get rid of the pain. What I did was like a self-therapy. As a result of this process, my later years have been much happier and I feel much lighter since I got rid of these BURDENS. Hope this helps. I know phd studies (and autoethnography) are not for everyone but I think journalling can do the same thing. Forgive the rambling. I just felt the need to share.

I love your videos. I'm binge watching as I only found you today! My hint to keep those things with cords (that you're keeping), tangle free, is to put each one in a zip lock bag with a piece of paper in it stating which phone or appliance it belongs to. No more guessing 🎉😂 Keep going. You're doing very well.

Great job today! I broke up with my ex last year about this time and had to move out of our rental house. It was so hard. My mom came into town and packed everything for me while I worked every day and I just did all the heavy lifting. Was packed and moved out in one week. The way you’re doing it looks so much more peaceful.

Oh Libby, note books, candles and cook books are constantly on my NOT to buy list. I’m only ”allowed”to buy new ones when I’ve used everyone I’ve got at home. Or for cook books if I’ve borrowed it from the library AND actually made at least 3 recipes from it 🙃😉

Less is more. If you can control your spending that is the ticket. Only have minimal cloths. One Coat, One sweater, 7 pants, 10 shirts. When you buy new cloths....you must get rid of something from your closet. All cloths need to have a place and always kept in that space. Books? Don't spend money from your budget on books. Use the darn library. Its free!!! Save your money for a vacation or car or your retirement. You can melt your leftover candles and pour all the left overs into a empty full jar. Looks pretty layered in colors. Just buy long wicks. Spend more time out of the house. Walking and exercise help with your mind clutter. Same with food. Less junk and more fresh food will give your mind and body a better life.

It's amazing what we keep isn't it. I think we all keep phone boxes lol. Whenever I think of my past, it feels as though I'm referring to a close friend but I know it's me. I, like yourself have grown since then and we're technically the same people but in so many ways we're not. We're amazed at what we've been through even though we're hard on ourselves. We are power houses and amazingly resilient. I struggle with depression, anxiety, executive disfunction, and PTSD. I love making a master list of all the things I need to do just as a mental dumping onto paper. Then I make a daily list of what I want to do from that master list. The key for me is to make small daily lists, otherwise I won't do them. And you know, I have days that I just don't do any off my daily list just because. It's all about mental capacity and doability that day because everyday is different. I'm trying to be kinder to myself and it's something we should all practice. Love your keep it real videos dear friend. I wish I lived closer 😊hugs ❤️ 🫂
