Decluttering cupboards & drawers in a small apartment | New towels

In this video I declutter 3 major storage areas in my lounge / dining space that I have been wanting to tackle for some time. It turned out to be a huge task to go through DVDs, laundry items, receipts and an ad hoc collection of household items. But the results were fantastic and it's really simplified my daily life. I also show you some towels that I recently bought for my new apartment. I hope that you enjoy it!
I warmly acknowledge the traditional custodians of the lands on which I filmed, the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin nation. I acknowledge their profound connection to the land, and pay my respects to their elders, past, present and emerging.

Hi Lilibet, I'm a new subscriber. My name is Monica and I'm in Sweden. This video showed up in my feed the other day and I loved it and have binge watched your videos these last days. I'm very much into decluttering and downsizing and watch a lot of such videos, but for me it takes more for me to stay with a channel and I absolutly love your videos. I love the low energy and calm in them and you as a person too. Looking forward to watching it all.

Hi Lilibet! Great job with your organization and repurposing of the containers! I love how purposeful you are with curating your things. You have such an eye for quality, durability and style. To your question about "living on the edge", I think it depends on what that phrase means to you. It reminds me to be brave and to push my comfort limits as I am an introvert and have trouble with anxiety and self conciousness. It encourages me to forge ahead no matter what. ❤

Hi Lilibet, brilliant declutter! The organisation just gets better and better. I didn’t like that saying at all, it felt harsh and judgy (and not necessarily true). Doesn’t suit your simple and honest style at all. The only item that caused a sad reaction was Milly’s big blanket. Not because she used it, which is sweet in itself, but it’s such a lovely blanket and looked really nice on your bed. Just my opinion, hope you don’t mind me saying.

Thanks Kaycee! And for sharing your thoughts on the saying. I used the blue one as an under blanket to protect the bed. But I'm keeping Milly's 2 main blankets... the fluffy green and pinks ones. 😍

I think you did with this declutter and I've gotten even more ideas from you.I have RA and Fibromyalgia so I make tea and put it in a hot thermos in case I get a flare or fatigue. That way I don't have to make it throughout the day or night. I understand what it's like to have that fatigue start to set in when cleaning. It's like someone turning a dial and it's getting higher and higher.I'm a huge Also, I'm a huge Dickens fan but Bleak House was too dark for me too. As for that saying, I think it was a bit harsh as we're all different and you don't have to live on the edge to be happy or be of value.

Maybe you should try to come up with a solution to keep your laundry items closer to your washing machine, towels in the bathroom etc… I also live in a small house & things work best for me if everything is were I use the items.

It’s not everyone’s purpose or personality type to live on the edge. If it’s not the desire of your heart to do so, then it’s probably not for you.

Hi Lilibet, great job getting all that decluttering and organising done. You tackled quite a lot. I find it so interesting to see the ways you manage your spaces and thee types of things you group together. Moving into a new and smaller space requires some adjustments but this sort of work is continuous as we try out new systems or as our lives change. It can be physically and emotionally tiring. I have some exciting news. We have bought an apartment and our settlement matches our house settlement at the end of the month. We will have much less storage and therefore I have taken note of your organisation. Recently, ecofriend.lia (youtube) said that she didn't think it was healthy to push ourselves to live outside our comfort zone, but that we can live anywhere within in and, when we feel like it from time to time, try something new and a bit less comfortable. Some people are very comfortable living on the edge and need the excitement, not me. High cortisol levels are bad for my health. In my opinion, people are innately valuable and that does not change whatever they do. ♥

Congrats on buying your new apartment, I'm so happy for you! Thanks for sharing your thoughts on living on the edge. I love challenging myself. But am also quite cautious and careful. I'll check out ecofriend.lia ❤️❤️
