Decades-Old Lost Items That Were Found and Returned!
A lost wallet or a purse can be a hassle, but these people were delighted to be reunited with their belongings after decades. A little boy caught a purse with his fishing rod and it turned out to belong to a family friend who lost it 25 years prior. A California woman lost her wallet in a movie theater and got it back 46 years later when the building was undergoing renovations. Inside Edition Digital’s Mara Montalbano has more.

The theater giving the $1,000.00 check was a great gesture.

Maybe because someone stole her check, and is probably an employee, so that it's the theaters fault for "stealing" her money? Idk I'm just being a know it all. Btw it is nice of them to give the money back to her.

@M1SANDR1ST93 You reckon 🤔 What a thing to do when someone has handed you're wallet back after 30 years and you say ohh by the way there was a $200 check in there. I think she's lying or it was $200 cash and the cinema didn't want drama about an employee stealing.
If it took 46 years to find that wallet, imagine when the last time they cleaned the seats were.

Its so sweet that her kids got to see a snapshot back into her life and her memory. She was surely watching over them smiling along with them too.
A couple years ago I lost my wallet at a Georgia Walmart. It had my credit cards, driver’s license, cash, and resident card. I was devastated because I had just replaced both my ids and now I had to spend money and time to do it all over again. Luckily about a week later somebody had put my wallet in the mailbox. It was inside a white envelope that read “Obama” but it was scribbled almost like kids handwriting. The cash was gone but everything else was in there. Thank you to whoever returned it!

You lose and find something in Antarctica?! That man is blessed!
I lost my wallet at a store and it had all of rent money, my ID, and debit cards. The person who stole it took my money & cards & then crumpled up my ID and threw it out at the AT&T store. I am blessed enough to have a very kind & understanding landlord & thankfully, someone found my ID & returned it to me. Never caught the jerk who made off with $900 and my cards but thankfully my bank refused the $1,000 transaction they tried at the AT&T store & I was able to get those cards cancelled. I wish someone like these people would've found it, though.

That’s good that your bank blocked the money transaction. When my dept card was stolen from a Burger King employee, all my bank did was notify me. The thieve took $700 & my bank refused to refund my money. The Burger King I was at have had problems with employee thieves, I don’t get how they’re still in business
I'm 33 now but when I was about 16 I was just following along with my friends and we went to hooters, I lost my camo velcro wallet and I couldn't get over it because I never lose things like that. Ironically that hooters is in the same spot and I deliver beer there now, this clip gave me an idea that next time I go I'll jokingly ask if they have a lost an found. That would be so cool to find again. I've returned wallets/id's to people so it would have been nice for someone to do that for me

My wallet was stolen years ago… one day a man called me and said is this molley? I said yes … he said ummm this is gonna sound weird but I was down by the Susquehanna river and saw something down in the water and pulled it out and it was a wallet. He said I knew you would want it back since your drivers license and boating license were inside. I went and met him and couldn’t believe it. My boating license will forever have some scratches on it from the Susquehanna river.
That’s so cool getting to see a moment in time
Wow just like a time capsule you bury and then open up 25-50 years later. What a nice surprise to these people so late in their life.
The martini story brought a smile to my face. Glad this gentleman got it back, than you for your service, sir.
Years ago I worked for a furnace and duct cleaning company. 2 jobs stand out. 1) cleaning a young couples older home, inside a cold air duct I found a shoe box. Inside were wedding rings, a man’s watch, cufflinks, other jewelry and some documents. When I called the homeowner to come see what I’d pulled out of the duct, she got very excited and called her husband. He raced home to inspect the box. One of the documents was HIS birth certificate! (Turns out he inherited the house from his parents. His dad passed but mom remained in the home. Mom had dementia and eventually passed too. The siblings had searched for certain items like the wedding rings and the various documents, but had no luck.) (The mom had passed 8yrs prior) 2) again doing duct cleaning for the daughter of an older gentleman that still lived in his home. I had to ask the daughter to come downstairs. On top of the ducting was STACKS of money! In fact the weight of the money (paper currency & mason jars of coins) was causing the ducting to sag. A week after the daughter called me. I’d asked her to satisfy my curiosity of how much. $34k+! But apparently 2 jars I hadn’t noticed were full of gold coins, those weren’t yet valued. (That gentleman was also going a bit senile.) *and no, I had no interest in stuffing anything in my pockets. It wasn’t mine. So a heads up to families with older parents. Go visit them more! Help out and prevent your family ‘valuables’ from being lost.
Its like a blast from the past !
I actually felt bad for the boy that asked her out to prom 😭

My mom returned a girl's purse with her ID, cards, makeup and even some defense tools but no money, I found the purse, my cousin helped searching it however we were kids so my mom returned it by hand to the girl, who was beyond thankful for her documents to be back and she actually said that she was rubbed by sole guys in motorcycle in bright day light!
I did the same but the owner suspected me as a thief ... LoL 😂
Wonderful memories
Someone flipped my house upside down when I went to work one day back in 2011 I believe. They tried their hardest to make it look as if nobody lived there. I contacted the police and the only thing that saved me is my mail and I had just made coffee that morning. Needless to say the cops made them give me a key and I ended up having to take them to court. I lost all of my memories among other things. Memories can’t be replaced though. These were pictures of my grandma who passed before that. All of my childhood pictures. All of my pregnancy pictures and others. I never got those back. It bothered me for a very long time and still does when I remember it. I don’t wish bad on anyone because I think that will turn into your own reality. You gotta wish evil people the best, their karma will come. This person ended up passing from covid right after we all found out about it and spent his very last days in the hospital without anyone. Be careful how you treat others
