Regarding why Dio didn't stop thinking in the coffin: the difference between him and Kars is that Kars let himself be consumed by the despair of his situation, numbing his mind and senses. Dio, meanwhile, spent that time constructively, meditating and thinking about the meaning of life (which I believe is how he came up with the Heaven plan). Another difference is that Kars might have lost all hope of ever returning to Earth, while Dio stayed optimistic about the possibility of him being found at some point in the future, giving him something to look forward to. The manga Dr. Stone has something similar in its premise: when all of humanity is turned to stone, most people stop thinking shortly afterwards. Those who do force themselves to keep their brains active are able to stay conscious.

People often like to over complicate things like with the "Kakyoin painting ability" or DIO having "Hermet Purple"

Note about the tommy gun it was one of the most common concealed weapons for mobsters at the same time part 2 takes place and while most commonly they would use violin cases but someone like joseph could 100% be able to fit a tommy gun in his coat (also he would store it without the mag but thats easy enough to do)

"Frogs, assuming they haven't been awakened by the Stone Mask, are just normal creatures" That's a HELL of a sentence. Joseph surviving the knife in his throat is actually something that happens way more in real life than most people understand. The THROAT is not the thing that needs to be cut for a quick, fatal injury. It's damaging the carotid artery or jugular vein, the two largest blood vessels in the neck, since their large size would cause such a rapid loss of blood that it would starve the brain of oxygen. Getting stabbed in the larynx, or just below it like in the case of Joseph, would simply result in a hole in the trachea even if it ended up bleeding a lot. This is easily survivable and actually a common medical procedure called a tracheotomy, which allows individuals with obstructed airways to breath straight through that hole instead of through the mouth. While Coco Jumbo's exact species isn't known, he IS definitely a tortoise of some kind. Tortoises are defined as living primarily on land but are still a subset of turtles. The main physiological distinction is that tortoises have defined feet while most other turtles have flipper-like appendages.

Coco jumbo is a tortoise. Turtles have flippers and/or a flatter shell, and richer skin (usually). Tortoises have legs, domed shells, and desaturated skin. Coco Jumbo is a tortoise, but technically a turtle too because tortoises are a subclass of turtles. The more you know.

Your point about using your lips as a way to dispense Hamon is further supported by Caesar using his lips to brainwash that one woman to attack Joseph. He, of course, could have used his fingers to administer the Hamon, but you know he's a weirdo. Also, not only is Okuyashu's father clearly not a vampire, but I would also like to point out that there's actually a pretty big difference between literally having someone's cells implanted in you and just being their descendant. From my point of view, Giorno has 0% DIO cells in his body. I think a lot of people also forget that the Arrow carries some kind of alien pathogen that the person it is used on either adapts to by developing a Stand or dies, succumbing to the disease. I really love how there is also a purely scientific explanation for the Arrow "judging" people, since a major point of the series is how science and esoteric are often just two sides of the same coin, like gravity and fate being one and the same.

with the arrow, the thing that determines whether or not people die from the disease is not the disease or the arrow itself, but the spiritual power of the victim, which is why koichi was going to die from it and even when healed had such a weak stand at first (literally just an egg)

The original commenter clearly doesn't realize that DNA and cells are not the same thing. It's fully possible that the effect of the vampire cells is created by some part of the cell outside of the DNA or even a part of the cell that normal human cells don't have at all.

my personal interpretation is that the arrow killing someone "unworthy" isn't 100% what's happening, it's awakens a stand in everyone but like shown in Holly's case, a stand can be extremely harmful or fatal to some people, so the arrow seeks out those who's spirits are worthy and strong enough to awaken a stand without dying. That's why Koichi originally was going to die by his wounds before being Josuke healed him, and why his stand started out as an egg. Echoes future hatching and growth is emblematic of him becoming spiritually strong and worth a stand's power.

And you see this in other ways too, like how if you try to insert Star Platinum’s stand disk, it’ll punch itself out if your willpower isn’t strong enough. The SBR canon has its own version of this - most characters who go into a devil’s palm just get a stand with no consequences, but weaker spirits like Daiya will lose something in exchange

Before being launched into space there was nothing stopping Kars from making a frog sized stone mask, so he could have made one if he really wanted to. Another thing that helps Joseph is while yes he took a knife to the throat it was not removed preventing some of the blood loss allowing him to survive longer.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. If your question starts with "this isn't really an Araki Forgot" then it isn't for this series. Glad you're introducing a series to actually answer those.

im starting to realise a corcerning amount of forget moments are just: "why does this thing i made up/my insane lack of comprehention, create a plot hole??? explain that hamon boy!!"

Another point about the Bites the Dust part: Kira himself states that he isn't aware of when Bites the Dust resets time. He even says to Hayato (paraphrasing): "who did you kill?" and "judging by your reaction, this must be at least the second time you looped". He doesn't know who Bites the Dust kills, when it kills or how many times it has killed. It is literally an autonomous Stand.

Lang Rangler being the least favorite of Part 6 at the end is very ironic to me, considering that was the fight that made me hooked completely into Stone Ocean during my first blind read of it

This gives me an idea.. If the Arrow has the mind of his own and Keicho was using the Bow instead, that means that the Arrow follows Fate/Gravity and the Bow is a tool that allows to bend the Arrow's movement to the will of the user. However we know that Justice always prevails. And that means that if Koichi didn't get the Stand then, he would later, a different one, or not at all and someone else would stop Kira, yada-yada. The Bow just gives me the King Crimson vibes in terms of bending the fate to your favor.

@@emmychansuper If we take a wild guess based on DIO and Alternate Diego, and both Yoshikage Kiras and Rohan Kishibes, then people really ARE fated to always default to the same Stand (but allowed to have different takes on their ability) unless something hijacks their "natural Stand slot" (for lack of a better term) and shoves a "wrong" Stand into place (like Diego getting Ferdinand's Scary Monsters and that either overwriting or forcing THE WORLD dormant).

Even if Joseph knew that he couldnt kill Kars he still had to try to do something. Related to this, sorta, is when the military shoot at a kaiju in a kaiju movie, they know they can´t hurt it, they still have to try.

That first one really got to me, because I regularly spend ten to fifteen minutes a week sometimes thinking about when Zeppeli punches the frog.

I love that you have made such an engaging series entirely based upon actually reading and watching the material to answer questions from people who didnt. I'm a dub anime only and most of your questions you get i got answered by watching the show lol. Just glad you have been able to take this and make it something truly enjoyable.

Also, with cocojumbo, turtles/tortoises are cold blooded, and we've been shown that coldness reverses/stops Greatful Dead's ability.

Cold blooded doesn't mean actually cold blood, but blood that heats up and cools down depend on the surrounding environment, instead of hot blood which has a constant temperature. Other points still stand tho.

Realistically, Kars shouldn’t have been able to survive the volcano since he can only use the powers as any living animal, and there are none which can survive magma, which Joseph probably knew. So it was a pretty smart move considering how little time Joseph had to think

To add to the point about Time Stop having a cooldown, the actual physical states of the user might also have an effect. Jotaro had only just gotten his Time Stop back up to five seconds right after getting out of a coma and racing straight to the battle as a 40-year old man who hadn't been using Time Stop much in the years after Part 4. Meanwhile, Diego is a much younger man who has obviously been using his Stand more consistently (by comparison) through his life, and DIO was a superhuman vampire with Jonathan's body being one of the most hilariously fit. Considering that constant use/disuse of Time Stop and bodily health are already known to affect Time Stop's length, it's not hard to conclude that Diego and DIO could also have somewhat shorter cooldown times than Part 6 Jotaro. Both of them were closer to their "prime" states, and both of them had been using/training their Time Stop more than Part 6 Jotaro had at the time. So the two of them possibly having shorter cooldowns between Time Stops than Jotaro at that moment makes sense.

Perhaps it's somewhat like a muscle. Constant use will allow it to grow and stopping its use will cause the ability to atrophy.

These uploads always make my day. Thanks for making this series, man. It's always fun to see what new problem people have invented by not checking the source material before posting.

Some of these feel like people played the Roblox Jojo Fangames A Universal Time and Your Bizarre Adventure and thought that those were canon to the series and contradictions to them (things Araki has zero influence over) are contradictions of canon. I can’t be certain that’s what happened, but it sure does feel that way.

11:00 LOOK GARY, THERE I AM! To be honest, i wasn't super familiar with the exact events of the flashback in part 5. I'm mostly anime only, and while I did read the part 5 manga, that was years ago, before the part 5 anime came out, with a poorly done translation, and i've also only watched all the way through the part 5 anime once. I didn't remember exactly how the alien virus killed people, and had never considered that it'd be possible for Josuke to heal Koichi and for him to potentially still die afterwards due to it.

Giant tortoises and turtles have exceptionally long lives but smaller ones typically have life spans of about 20 years. Perhaps because reptiles are cold-blooded, Coco Jumbo may have a lower internal body temperature and age more slowly, as it is made clear during the fight that lower body temperature reduces the rate of aging.

In one of your Araki Forgots you said that Josuke couldn't restore Yoshikage Kira's button back to his outfit, but in Okuyasu and Josuke's fight scene against Shigechi, Josuke was able to bring the Pipes back to place, Harvest didnt broke the pipes, he Just Unscrewed it, It did not break

Already covered. The logic is that the screws are an integral part of the pipe's functioning and therefore it could be fixed back. Meanwhile, the lack of a button does not prevent the jacket from being a jacket.

I have to say I'm very grateful for these videos clarifying a lot because I was someone who misunderstood the ending to Part 6 and dropped the series entirely because I thought part 1-5 had been undone and that Part 8 Josuke was the same Josuke from part 4.

I have multiple questions on how Jotaro did these many thing in his battle with DIO 1. How did Jotaro manage to place magnets on DIO's wrist accesory? Did he secretly stop time, or did he manage to place them during the barrage scene. 2. How did Jotaro get to the sewer place quickly? If he was around 80-90 feet away from DIO. Did he stop time secretly to get there?

1. Its pretty obvious that he placed the magnets when they were comparing attack rushes. Dio himself comes to that very conclusion. 2. It's not that farfetched to think that jotaro could enter the sewer through a manhole cover and catch up to dio who was limping at the time.

Gosh i love these series.

I watched parts 1-6 though dubbed anime highlights on youtube and flipped through the pictures of parts 7-9. So if you're so smart, tell me why Dio never uses his bubble blast from part 2 again, during his fight with JoJo in part 3 where he could've gotten soap in his eyes to tell him if he was sleeping or not? Is he stupid? also I can't believe you glossed over how Araki forgot Dio is supposed to be a big oily Chad when he wrote part 4, and made him a skinny soyboy in a suit and retconned The World into a stupid cat with the name Murder Princess. Also why is Josuke's mom hot? I can't believe people actually like this garbage series. Beyblade Metal Fusion is way better.

About Coco Jumbo, it's more likely that it doesn't age because it is cold-blooded. If a tiny temperature difference between humans significantly lessens the effects of Grateful Dead, then a cold-blooded animal probably would be barely affected, if at all

i think part of the issue is people disagree with the choices araki makes, and the bizarreness of the whole show can make those choices seem arbitrary and open to peoples own head canons to make it make sense to them

also for the case of coco jumbo: turtles have a lower body temperature than humans so it wouldn't even be effected that much

Part 2 : in the manga in the flashback at the beginning of the part Joseph is reading superman, while the first superman issue came out in like 1938 (which is when part 2 takes place) it is a flashback from a while back so Joseph couldn't have read superman

Also, for the Cocojumbo point, its cold blooded in a shaded area. So It's body temp should still be pritty low. (At least lower than a human's in that heat.) So that could also attribute to it's lack of aging. Atleast thats what I thought.
