That is a fictional universe where the characters are a level beyond IRL boxers. If you look at their resumes ANY Rocky main character would be the GOAT of IRL boxing. Also Rocky looked good when he retired. He was not forced to retire 20 years before that fight, he beat Drago and didn't return for 21 years.

He’s going to see things happening and his body just won’t move to deal with it for just a split second longer. He already lost a lot of his damage resistance by the 2000s and peoples chins don’t get better with age. Everyone wants this to be Mike Tyson but that Mike has been gone for almost 20 years.

You guys have this spot on, exactly what I've been thinking. The thing is, you know if Mike won, Jake would want a rematch, and even if Mike was debilitated, Jake would make it his life's goal to get a rematch. That's just who he is.

Holyfield is punch drunk. Couldn't even throw punches properly with leverage, speed and recoil. Tyson isn't punch drunk and can still throw punches properly. The age gap is still massive and if Tyson doesn't knock Paul out in the first round or 2, Paul likely wins due to having far superior stamina.

What crazy is the only difference between a regular match and an exhibition is: during an exhibition the athletic commission simply leaves the ring area and the judges are not certified judges ….. that’s it

I’m so glad you guys brought up Larry holmes and Ali and Tyson beating holmes for it. If Mike gets knocked out, I see fury avenging it after he’s fought usyk and aj just before he retires. Not a fan but can see the promo easily being done and advertised as a repeat of history. As said I don’t want fury to fight him either but I can see the promo happening, but at the same time the big turkey was saying no more cross over so let’s see.

I agree with Brian up to now you can admire what Jake has done but when you think about it ultimately whether it is weight, age, height, experience, every opponent so far has been at a BIG disadvantage and the only one who wasn’t was Tommy. Shuffled around the ring like a zombie. Couldn't even throw simple punches with leverage, speed and recoil. Tyson isn't punch drunk and can still throw punches properly. Great comments lads . I appreciate the respect for elders , that seems to only come from the black community these days . As an older guy , I want to decide what I do , and Tyson should be afforded that choice . I've gained a lot of respect for Jake ,none of us knew how his fights would turn out , as an amateur boxer , and he's taken it seriously . I always thought Tyson's time at the top would be short lived ,as a small heavyweight relying on his stamina and power , but this is a fight ( if it's a genuine contest ) that a lot would like to see imo. Tyson hasn't given up yet , he still seems to have the desire , win or lose ,his legacy will remain, once the dust has settled . Froch has already said he will fight John Fury , provided his requests are met .

Just becuase his previous results were negative, it doesn’t mean that they weren’t in his system. Fighters use masking agents with PED’s to confuse the test results. This can fail to be successful if the dosages are significantly incorrect in terms of ratio. Metabolism also plays a part in the masking agents doing their part - the week before the fight is usually the least physical one leading up to the end of camp, for obvious reasons.. especially when you’re downing beer on the scales the day before the fight.

It's on Netflix. There has to be some agreements in place as far as the fight goes. I dont think there can be any 1st or 2nd round knockouts

I think Mike will go into Beast mode if for only two or three rounds. The inexperience of Jake Paul won't stand up against the flurry of combinations that Mike will subject the young Paul to. Paul's only hope is to run and keep distance between him and the Beast.

We've been pranked. Pauli Malingangi made a good point. Netflix announced it as an event. Not a fight, or an exhibition. It's probably a fake documentary.

Its too hard to predict, could be anything happen who knows

I think having watched Mike train he still has the power and speed, jake leaves himself wide open and I believe Mike can knock him into next week within 1st 2 rounds. Jake will never want to feel a punch as hard or harder than Mike's again if he connects, it'll be lights out. Mike's style is straight on peekaboo continually moving forward and sideways never backwards, jake has never been in a fight with a style like Mike's.

Exactly! Jake's technique is sloppy, he misses half his punches and moat of the what connects doesn't do damage. He fights people that can't fight and thinks it's a bonafide win. We're talking about IRON Mike here. Even if he's slowing down or losing strength, he's still stronger and faster than 99% of men of any age. If Jake throws one of his haymakers (and he will) Mike's going to take that opening and its game over

Lest people forget, George Foreman came back in his 50's and became champion again. Uncle Mike still got some moves, I mean I know I'm probably over my head, but I'm holding out hope for Mike. Plus, it'd be great to see him fight again, shame it's against this bum, but when I was a kid I only saw Tyson fight against Lewis which was his last fight in his youth. And obviously since, he's fought Roy Jones, so it'd be cool to see him step through the ropes again

I find it funny how before this everyone hyped up Mike Tyson and said how he’s still a killer and no one would wanna fight him, but now that jakes fighting him “he’s just an old man”

do you actually think it's not going to be just exhibition with bunch of rules? Doing this as serious boxing fight seem crazy for Mikes legacy and overall letting 28 old vs 58 for real box is just messed up from moral standpoint at least that is how i look at it doubt they will though

It wasn't that he didn't "have it" physically......He was referring to his mentality. A focused Tyson would have done ok. Now he is better prepared, mentally.....if not physical.
