They have a point. I can create music with Logic’s drummer, strings with my keyboard, fix my vocals, etc. That eliminated the demo gigs Tim discusses right there. However, my record would be better AND I’d be called to do more guitar sessions if I had someone play those instruments live then mixed by a professional. Tim’s also saying that musicians could focus on being musicians. He’d do his demo gigs and play on one hit. That hit then paid him and the record company to give prospects a chance at a record or two…and songwriters demos. Aka there was a predictable cycle. Without a predictable cycle, and subsidization for R&D (new artist) money, an industry gets cluttered with rummage while hiding greatness…or never letting it see the light of day in the first place cause they need to pay rent.

I agree with you on this, but totalitarianism always starts sloooow. The rockstar of gen X, Kurt cobain, was always rambling about misogyny and political correctness and the system was doing shyt to us back then too. The system has been fighting freedom and the public since the early 1900’s. It’s a gradual slow process. You know all of this so idk why I’m rambling here, but you’re right about millennials and gen z. Holy shyt, we went from 0-60 reeeeeeaaaaaaaal quick. The corporate take over has been moving insanely fast the last decade or so and hardly anyone seems to notice or even care. Meanwhile everyone thinks voting matters and it’s our “evil” government causing the problems when in reality there’s barely a difference between corporations and government. It’s been a plan in the works for over 100 years and we’re stuck at the tail end of it. Great content as always. You said more in these videos than those two have their entire KZread careers. Cheers

with all respect (and by no means im a Beato defender, tho i do enjoy some of his good content) i think you are mixing things up. They are talking about way before internet and how corporations worked. Even then i do agree with some things you say like postmodernism, the tik tok format decadence, but again i think you are mixing things up

You need to make a video on Brendan Kavanagh getting told he cant film his videos of him playing actual music on public pianos by Chinese Communists that happen to walk by. I cant even make that up, its going viral that some Chinese Communists freaked out at him for recording a youtube video in public of him playing a piano in public and getting peoples reactions who happened to pass by. Filming in public places is totally public domain, no one has a right to privacy when they enter a public space, but these Chinese Communists decided they wanted to try to police their right to privacy of their image to this guy. I also just wanna hear you rant about communism more really.
