Death is a Piece of Art | Law & Order SVU
Ойын-сауық
After woman is found mutilated, a familiarity with a previous serial killer is recognised. The detectives seek to find the pattern, the killer and his followers before they strike again.
Season 9, Episode 6 'Svengali': When a college student is found murdered, Detectives Benson and Elliot Stabler (Christopher Meloni) recognize the body's mutilation as a copycat of serial killer Robert Morton (guest star Jared Harris). Cecilia (guest star Shannon Woodward), the last person to see the victim alive, suddenly goes missing herself. In a race to find Cecilia alive, the detectives seek out Morton and discover his loyal following, including one twisted man whose comic book series glorifies Morton's murders. The comic books are the key to finding Cecilia, but the investigation angers Morton's followers and Detective Benson find herself in serious danger.Law & Order is streaming now on Peacock: pck.tv/46lNAcm

One of the most twisted episodes with the most Satisfying endings. In the end Morton loses all forms of outside contact and is constantly surveillanced with a 23 hour lockdown. Guy lost all connection from his fans with no way to orchestrate his “art” best thing about it is Morton allowed it to happen. Guy got played by requesting a max security prison just didn’t specify which one.

@bimates2690 actually no there are stories of guys spending years in the hole that is probably illegal but it still happens. The part that is legal is high risk inmates are only required 1 hour of yard time a day and it will be by themselves. So yes they can cut you off if you are high risk or they have reason to like him convincing others to kill. The phone is a privilege in prison notva right. Same thing goes with visits.

Spoilers . . . . . Cecilia’s lawyer goes w/ the not guilty by reason of mental defect defense. Claiming she only killed b/c Morten told her to. She puts on a good show for the jury. To turn them, they need Morten. Novak strikes a deal w/ him to get him moved to a federal prison in exchange for his testimony. He plays the courtroom, & Cecilia gets acquitted to a psych ward. Novak keeps her word, & gets Morten transferred to a super-max-security federal prison w/ no mail, no visitors, & 23-hour lockdown. Watching him be dragged away screaming how it wasn’t fair was exquisite.

I bet they don't eat pizza delivery anymore...
The amount of little clues they placed in this episode was fantastic, they were obviously having fun writing this episode. The victim who had her breasts cut off wasn't raped, that's because she was killed by a woman. The Venus de Milo blood art was WAY too intricate to have been done between the time Cecilia called the police and them showing up, showing it was staged. There were too many strange MOs going on, the pipe bombing didn't match the other murders, showing there were multiple killers or would-be killers. They show early on just how many people were sucking off the serial killer's teet, which seemed to be setting up red herrings before it revealed basically EVERYONE was guilty. Plus, the ending where Morten gets seriously fucked over by his own demands for testifying in court was absolutely poetic justice!

They may as well cancel the show if they don't have any ideas to have a weekly show. They're already showing as many re-runs as new episodes and Law & Order shows are not the kind of shows for reruns. Once the crime is solved, that's it. I'm tired of looking forward to a new episode and being let down. They need to do their jobs or let it go.
