You can’t trust certain people nowadays, the world has become more wicked. I trust no one but Jesus. That doesn’t mean I don’t trust anyone at all. I’m just very careful with people. The one’s that’s seem the sweetest is the one we need to worry about the most. Keep your friends close, but keep your enemies closer.

I think Ashley hated her mother so much that she sought out love in “friendships” of girls who resembled her mother. And when anyone would threaten that relationship (Sara in this case) she lashed out... like her father did. For example Notice she only took a liking to girls with long brunette hair... It may be a stretch but that’s the conclusion I came to in the end when she was getting arrested

Now that you mentioned it, I can see your point. At the beginning she was scanning the classroom and looked satisfied when she saw Jade. Then around 1:15 when the girl compliments Ashley's shoes, she looks back at the girl with interest after she walked past her. And around 1:18 she approaches another girl at the dance asking her to go outside. All the girls had long, brunette hair. Great observation! Happy New Year

The female murderer portrayed in this movie is clearly based on a Phychotic Narcissistic(full blown) personality "disorder." Difficult to "catch" unless watching 👀🕵🏻closely on reg. basis. "Empathic" people will always strongly "feel" when something is "off" about these types--& the "warning gut feeling" should never be ignored--to do so could bring dire circumstances of one sort or the other--these types of Phychopathic Narcissist's are capable of creating utter chaos & mayhem. 🤔Ever notice that there is 1 individual always "there" --just happens to call or arrive in the midst of "personal disaster?" 1-2 times could be coincidence but 3 & more ,the likeability drops significantly that their "magical" appearance is "coincidence." There are "Tests" "Traps" you can secretly employ see if so called "friends" are indeed trustable--so test away--BUT a warning--best to keep any Testing to yourself--not everybody will be understanding of the requirement to TEST. This movie sends a powerful message to teenagers and parents. As for parents, you need to know what your kids' friends are truly like. Jade is actually a bad girl and a rebel. However, Ashley is so bad and a demon that she makes a bad person look good! Jade ditches class and cheats on the tests. She is actually a bad person who just needs a push from the bad direction to do bad things. All it took was a little convincing from Ashley to slash the Spanish teacher's tires. However, Jade still has a conscience and doesn't injure or kill people. She might be willing to damage people's property but she wouldn't kill people. Ashley is basically a serial murderer who has no hope. Someone like her needs to be locked up for life. Someone like Jade can still be reformed and changed to a good person with some counseling and some time in juvenile hall. Even Sara isn't perfect. Sara is a good girl who is unpopular and doesn't have many friends and made a wrong choice of picking Jade. She would have been better off alone without Jade. Jade is a bad influence on Sara. Sara overall is pretty good but she still makes bad choices like sneaking out of the house. So you have to realize the friends you hang around with have a large influence and impact on you. As a good parent and role model you want to raise a child to be EVEN BETTER THAN SARA. Discipline your kids but don't be too overbearing and make sure they have good friends. This movie is a movie new parents and teenagers need to see and realize especially since this based on a true story. Don't ever give into peer pressure, don't get drink don't take illegal drugs and remember you don't need anyone to be cool. You can be cool all by yourself.

Heartbreaking but I am glad Ashley's mom did the right thing by setting up her daughter for a confession. As parents we have to teach our children to be kind. When children do make bad decisions it's important to get them mental health services sooner than later, because bad behavior will get worse. As a parent I definitely would feel awful knowing my child had anger management issues but I did nothing to help them in time of the murder. Teaching children accountability of their actions is necessary to prevent tragedy's like these. 💜

I agree with you. I was very happy and relieved to see that little bitc* Ashley get arrested. She was so sick and twisted. Not to mention how she treated her own mother. She would just take money out of her purse, and she'd verbally abuse her and not to mention, she even slapped her own mother. That is messed up and to be honest, I think she was just born a bad seed. All the help in the world wasn't going to help that girl, no way! I mean of course a parent is going to try and do everything in their power to help them, but this girl in particular was beyond being able to be helped. The way they showed her stab poor sweet Sarah to death and act like nothing happened and it was no biggie sent shivers down my spine just know that there are actual demented people like this out there in the world. My thoughts and prayers go out for this girl and her family. I don't know their real names were or who the story was actually based on otherwise I'd say the girl's name :(

They put alot of b.s in this film, it's still really good movie but half of it didn't happen that way or was just thrown in for the movie. Sheila was her best friend until Rachel came into the picture. Rachel and sheila actually had a romantic relationship and made skylar uncomfortable. That's just the beginning of it there I'd so much more Rachel and sheila did in pettiness to skylar before the attack. But yes those are the names.

She acted like she had authority over the adults in her life and just did whatever she wanted. Until she got caught and arrested. But I think it is beneficial for psychologists and mental health professionals to study this narcissist-like, grandiose ego in teens who have committed deadly crimes. So people can be educated on behaviors like these in young people.

I remember when I first saw this movie I thought it was super dramatic and unrealistic bc I couldn't fathom it being real. Now that I know it was based on an actual true crime, it's heartbreaking.

I don't understand. They had already done a pretty good job of excluding her. Why not just keep ignoring her? What they did was much worse!!!

It’s just crazy to me like you’ve been friends with Sarah all these years and a new girl comes around for 2.5 seconds and you not only flip on her but help kill her. It’s sad man, you never really know somebody & it’s the people closest to you who can hurt you the worst. I hope Skylar’s (the real girl this movie is based on) family shows up to Rachel & Sheila’s hearing next year or whichever one is up for parole next year and ask for their parole to be denied bc they don’t deserve to be out. They should spend the rest of their lives behind bars for what they did.

The girl playing Sara is so....prettyyyyy. But the story is heartbreaking. RIP skylar

I've watched this numerous times because of how amazing the acting was. The girl who played Ashley did one hell of a job playing a psychopath, and I've seen her in a few other movies before that were awesome. Anything Brittney Underwood is in is always a good movie. I've never missed any of her Lifetime Movies and she's super friendly on her social media page. I've always been a fan of her work. Anyways, it's so sad that this movie was true all because a jealous girl wanted to steal her friend away and have her all to herself. What a senseless and brutal act that could have been avoided if Jade stayed the hell away from her to begin with, but Ashley had a way with manipulating people. The part that made me sick was the morning after she killed her, she just rolled out of bed and said to Jade well it's breakfast time (as if nothing happened the night before, like any other day). My heart and prayers go out to the real family of this poor girl, such a tragedy 😢

I don't understand how Jade was so easily persuaded and manipulated by this girl if her and Sarah had been so close for so long; it made no sense! All the bad things Ashley was putting in her head she was just going along with her about everything?! Poor Sarah, she was so sweet too and her family was very good to Jade and now she has to live with that guilt forever.

I am a 50 year old man and this movie made me feel physically sick. The way Ashley was able to completely manipulate everyone she had come across. Complete psychopath with no feelings of remorse. I know it’s just a movie but watching this really hit home because there are people out there like her. Roughly 1% of the population. That’s 3.5 million people in the US. Just look at how many lives Ashley turned upside down and ruined in this movie. I try not to hate anyone but I can say I hated Ashley from the very beginning of this movie. It shows how truly evil humans can be and how psychopaths choose who they plan to manipulate. Jade was a perfect victim as she was an insecure vulnerable girl with little to no parenting or structure. It’s terrifying because it shows how easy it is for someone to get caught up in a horrible life changing situation. Parents stay close to your kids. Know who their friends are and know what they are up to.

I know why Ashley killed Sarah so she could have Jade all to herself.

Very good. The story is unusual, interesting, and fully developed. The film is also very attractive. Settings, casting, wardrobe, and overall art direction is highly on point.

My relationship with my mother was basically role reversed. She drank heavily. Chardonnay and Budweiser, mostly; but she was the one doing pretty much the same to me as Ashley did to her poor mother. But there was one difference: my mother did love me in her own twisted way, and after our outbursts, we always made up. More importantly, she divorced my stepfather just last month, and we’re in the process of reconciliation. Every now and then, she take me out of here for lunch and a movie, or even to stay over at her place. In fact, that’s what we’re doing for Labor Day! She still won’t all out admit that her mothering was more often than not nothing else but child abuse, but I’ve stopped trying to coax it out of her, and let it just play itself out.

yo i followed this case!!!! if you google it- you can read about the 3 best friends and the two killing her. they have real footage of her leaving her house in an explorer and then the two friends eventually confess. there was some lebian bullshit, jealousy, greed going on. it tells all. not great but- interesting legit case.

My jaw hit the ground when she got stabbed and my husband yelled at the Tv like his football team was losing.

Most people thinks that when kids becomes teenagers they don't need supervision as much!!! They do just as much but in different ways!!!

The Ashley broad was a sociopath, no doubt. And she wasn’t about to tolerate any ménage a trois between Sara and Jade and herself. A lesbian fer sure. Not very difficult to understand that. So that is what she did she wanted to permanently get rid of the “other” girl. Lesbianism starts as early as childhood. But true by high school age it’s pretty much there. It didn’t take Ashley long to know her true sexual orientation, yet she hid it quite well. But Jade and Sara weren’t considered lesbians they weren’t in that kind of relationship. Jade had to have been bisexual to accept Ashley’s grooming. Sara was straight and but still they had a close enough relationship to make Ashley extremely jealous enough to kill Sara, get her out of the way. Murder is murder no matter what, and Ashley had a lot of issues particularly personality disorders, such as Antisocial, Borderline, and Narcissistic personality.

That’s what I saw too - it looked like lesbian seduction was definitely going on with Ashley and Jade. And they enjoyed rubbing Sara’s nose in it sending photos.

Both those girls deserve to be in prison. The best friend just stood there and watch Sarah get stabbed to death and didn't bother to stop her and call 911. She decided after 2 days to report it, all for what a girl she just met.

You could tell that Ashley had no remorse. Good for her mother that she took back control.

This movie is a so sad. Ashley is a sociopath and Jade is weak... If they didn't want to hangout with Sarah anymore they could've just said that.

Sara is so pretty loved her style. She always looked chic, clean and put together

I feel like jade and Ashley bonded so quickly on their mammy and daddy issues & they were jealous of Sara being ideal & having a happy home w/ stability. They were so typical and so bummy

RIP,Skylar.I hope in real life Ashley's mother and Skylar mother stayed in touch and she got sober with that evil child of hers in jail.

Ashley’s Mother aka Shelia’s mother never had a drinking problem. Shelia was just an evil person in general and that entire family is crazy. Shelias cousin died of an OD and was on Mtvs are you the one. There’s rumors that Her family knew Shelia did it and tried to help cover it up.

When your instincts say otherwise, say something to someone. Do something. Wish Sarah would have talked to her mom.

Glad Tina stood up to that demon, she knew she had enough and Sara's mother was there for not only her daughters justice, but for support for Tina! I felt that pain from Saras mother, that lady can act! I wonder if Jade stayed locked up. That will be on Jades conscious for the rest of her life.

The mom was so hard on her daughter by having grounded her from the parties that everyone was to attend. It's like other parents were bad. But Tina was not so bad after all.

I hope this movie helps everyone to be more alert. Man the parents can act though. I applaud the whole cast. This movie had me screaming 😱 at my tv. 💁🏾‍♀️

I felt at one point Ashley.may have been planning to kill Jade, why she was about to buy a 3rd pair of shoes to as she thought blood would stain the 2nd pair - not sure just couldn't figure out why Ashley was going to purchase another pair when it was the first pair she discarded then purchased 'rhe leopard Kicks.'
