The greatest irony is that All Might's best pushed Guy to use the Gate of Death, a lethal technique, to win the battle. Here, Deku's best killed him, as he couldn't handle the strain in his body.

And it still wasn't enough... :P Ironic they both lost to characters that are uniquely disconnected to a power system; Guy's student Rock Lee can't use Ninjutsu or Genjustu (Guy himself chooses rarely to use either in order to support Lee) and Asta can't produce mana or cast magic spells.

They used All Might after weaking because oft hat injury. 100% from current All Might would be like Prime All Might using 1.6 percent using the calculations of 1/60. That means that Prime All Might can destroy a city with a flick of his hand using 2 percent. Deku didn't even get to use all of his quirks, he used less than half. On top of that he didn't use the 2 reality breaking quirks he had. Why would they not let him use his most powerful quirks? Those quirks are specifically Fa Jin and Gear Shift. He would of won with those quirks. They also used feats for Asta that where from his MANGA. The feats they used for Deku was from a freaking movie that's half canon. In addition to all of this why didn;t Danger Sense activate when Asta was about to bring the swords down. The whole battle made no sense and Deku should of been able to defeat him. Especially when Asta couldn't use Devil union since his 5 minute limit struck. And don't even tell me about Deku's hand because he still had another one.

Even as a huge MHA fan who knew absolutely nothing about Black Clover, I still knew Deku was gonna get his ass beat in this fight. Even now he can’t really go all out without breaking himself apart in the process so it was really just a matter of “Can Deku hit hard enough in one full strength blow to kill Asta?” And the answer here is simply no.

Hey, Asta didn't get buff out of nowhere, he's been training since he was a little kid and made a promise with yuno to become the wizard King, there were flashbacks, and became buff by the time he received his grimoire

I like the parallels for their characters. Assumed nobodies with no powers, prodigy rivals that they grew up with that seemed to be blessed. Inherited a power that was much too big for them and they had to learn how to make it their own. Took what was a simple ability and figured out creative ways to use it.

Regardless, the result would still remain the same and Deku's difficulty to control his powers never became a factor as they never really brought it up ost analysis

Also that light speed feat they used for asta was from chapter 39 when there’s over 300 where he gets even faster constantly.

@@sethgibson5148 That's not what I meant. Let me give you an example, let's say that Goku's strength is 50, and Vegeta's strength is 45. To use the fusion dance Goku would have to lower his power to match Vegeta. So Gogeta in total would have the power of 90. But the fusion earrings, it doesn't require you to match each other's power. So Goku would have to lower his strength, meaning that Vegito would have a strength of 95.

I like both and read both mangas but asta would absolutely destroy deku without much of a challenge but it would be a quick and not as entertaining as it was lol

I think this is something worth noting, even though it probably doesn't change the outcome. Gear shift doesn't only makes the target faster, it can also slow them down without affecting their inertia. With this deku could slow himself down to avoid an incoming attack and quickly speed back up, or he could slow down his opponent.

Asta is my absolute favorite protagonist but Deku was before him; they both got me into physical training. I love both the animes and mangas but in my unbiased opinion (even though Asta is my favorite) it should have been as close; Deku has gotten physics defying quirks recently but Astas light speed blitzes and black divider spell should have been lights out for Deku. Death battle forgot to mention that Asta literally expanded his demon dweller sword to the SIZE OF A SKYSCRAPER (NO CAP!!) AND BASHED A NEARLY COUNTRY SIZED MOON LIKE DEMON SPELL OVER TO ANOTHER CONTINENT!! Like cmon

There is supposed to be a movie of black clover coming soon to Netflix so there's that but the manga already came back. I imagine the anime to continue shortly after the movie is aired

Also, you kinda knew Asta was winning when he said he was never giving up haha

The manga for Black Clover is still going. As for the anime it's on hiatus because a movie is coming out for Black Clover.

Black Clover is still on pause at episode 170 but it's getting a movie next March. It's being released on Netflix and if I had to guess we should get a new season either late 2023 or 2024

They missed most of the battles this season, I wish they could’ve reacted to all of them. But they’re reacting to this one, so that’s better than nothing.

Well to answer your question animated black clover is predicted to come back late 2023 or 2024 but no the arcs after the Dante fight haven't been animated yet BUT there is a movie coming during 2023

Since you two are watching death battle videos again, may I suggest watching hercules vs sun wukong, Excalibur vs raiden, James bond vs John wick, trunks vs silver, spongebob vs aquaman, Jason Voorhees vs Michael Myers and sauron vs lich king

It’s sad because death battle really did undermine Asta who is much more powerful than they said they also got some of the feats wrong for example destroying the kingdom it wasn’t a giant energy blast it was a light sword that would stab for every single last living citizen in the kingdom. Second thing is for him to destroy an opponents magic it has to be around the same strength. They also left out many of asta abilities despite the fact that they’ve been around the same time. Both of their mangas are in the 300

Facts. Like asta NEVER fights using all three swords then one in his mouth. He only used a sword in his mouth when his arms were rendered useless by the curse magic. Then never again once his arms were healed.

@@GeoX242 Honestly, seeing how the mangaka of BC is fan of One Piece (he made drawings of OP for special colors pages for Jump multiple times- he even made a drawing of Asta cosplaying as Zoro lol), I'd be more surprised if we never see Asta doing the ''multi-wielding sword'' trick.
