The bridge is the viewpoint of the customers who are paying for her dances, they're spending all their money and wanting more of her. He tells her story in first verse, chorus and second verse is his viewpoint and bridge is the customers viewpoint.

Gaskarth is really good at doing that type of misdirection in writing

Hi! Can you explain Diary of Jane by Breaking Benjamin. The lyrics do seem pretty self explanatory. BUT! There is something I noticed. The same time the song made it to my ears is the same time I was reading "13 Reasons Why" By Jay Asher (NOT THE NETFLIX TRASH) The two are similar in the since of the main person trying to fins their place in the diary of a girl. Can you find out if one heavily influenced the other? I don't know which came first. Both are fantastic and my favorite song and boom. I would love it if someone can make this connection between the two with me.

Thoroughly enjoyed, though for clarification the “money” I was referring to was from customers not in royalties from the band. Seems to be a missed mark a lot of people have when reading (not you, I saw a comment & thousands on my own page 😂)
