Dear Girls - Yeh Tumhe Kabhi Nahi Karna Chaiye | New Poetry
This poetry speaks about sacrifices women makes for their career, family or by internalised patriarchy. Indian society believes in romanticizing sacrifices. It especially celebrates women who sacrifice their happiness for the sake of their families. In fact, we are expected to think of it as our duty. However, nobody bothers to consider the consequences that us women have to bear to fulfill these expectations. An average girl in India grows up watching women around her sacrificing their happiness and needs for the “greater good” and then begins to emulate that behaviour. As a daughter, she sacrifices her educational aspirations to resonate with what her parents want. As a wife, she prioritizes her husband’s and in-laws’ likes and requirements. As a mother, her children’s happiness becomes her top priority.
But times have changed. Society needs to accept that a woman shouldn’t have to sacrifice her career for motherhood. That a wife can prioritise her happiness over that of her in-laws and husbands and it is not wrong. That a daughter isn’t empowered unless she has the liberty to choose her own path in life and career.
Especially done to shame women today, who are not ready to adjust. They get criticised for being selfish and prioritising their needs and desires. But why is sacrifice a parameter for being labelled a good woman? Why can’t a good woman be the one who will never settle for less?

Kyo koi admi ye nai samaj pata ki koi ldki apne ma baap apna ghr chhor ke uske pas aayi hai aur uski care kr rhi hai uske maa baap ko apne ma baap man kr seva kr rhi hai kya uske bhi kuch spne nai hote life ko lekr Be independent girls👍 if you are independent apko marriage ki bhi jrurat nai hai apne spne kabhi mt marna... As a boy mai aaj bol skta hu ki jitna struggle aaj ki society me girls krti hai hum boys to uska 10% bhi mushkil se krte hai... And that's why i respect female from the core of my heart.❤👏
Very well said. Even being a male, I must say society is pretty gender biased. Equality should be a Norm. Though extreme of anything is bad but moderation in everything is absolutely ok to live with. Its personal but for me an Independent girl not as per society norms but as per psychological Freedom and life choices is compatible to me. Every coin has two faces but Heads are heads they can't be tails. So girl live on ur own. U may cheris wonders and live ur life peaceful accordingly.

Mai bhi lekin mujhpe koi shadi ka pressure ni h... Bas mai padhna chahti hu bahar niklkar but mujhe to akele market bhi ni jane diya jata h aisi life ho gyii h meri 😣 .... Daily ghar me pare rho bss ek mobile hath me de diya gya h padhne ke liye... 😐 Mujhe aapne hi ghar pareye lagne lage, mentally bhi pressure rhta h.. Parents ko koi fark ni parta ab chahe unhe kuch bhi bolu mai ki mujhe kam se kam ek coaching bhi to laga do phir bhi ni mante h ab mai isme mai kya kr skti huu... Please help me 😣😐😶☹️🙏🙏

Ladki ko bachpan se hi indian society bata deti hai ki husbands superior hote hain. Aakhir wo hi toh hain parmeshwar ya wahi toh hain pati parmeshwar ya swami ya bhagwan... Log kyu bhul jate hain ki patni ko bhi devi ya grihalaxmi kaha jata hai. Ladki ko yeh bhi sikha diya jata hai ki pati ke har roz per chhune chahiye... halaki yeh acchi baat hai ki ek patni apne pati ka samman karti hai... Lekin kya yeh one sided nahi. Ladko ko toh koi nahi sikhata apni patni ke per chhune ke liye... meri baat sunke kucch log kahenge ki patni chahe age me chhoti ho ya badi ho uske per nahi chhune chahiye yeh galat hai yeh odd nahi lagega... wah re duniya walon... Kucch log toh laxminarayan ka example bhi dete hain jisme maa laxmi shree vishnu ji ke charan dabate hue nazar aati hain. Par koi yeh nahi dekhta hai ki kis tarah shree krishna radharani ke charan sparsh karte hain. Log sochte hain ki maa kali jab shiv ji ke upar apna per rakha tha toh unhone isiliye apni jiva nikala kyuki unhe apne patni dharm ki chinta thi. But sach toh yeh hai ki unhe iss baat ki chinta thi ki unhone shiv ji ke upar itni teji se apne per rakhe ki unhe kast hone laga unhe uski chinta thi. Aaj kal ek video viral ho rahi hai jisme ek pati apni patni ka samman ke roop me uske per chhuta hai. Usse yeh samjh aa gaya tha ek patni ki ehemiyat kya hai par log usse joru ka gulam kehete nazar aa rahe the. Pata nahi uss par kya biti hogi. I hope ki yeh sari stereotypes jald hi khatam ho jaye. Bas itna hi kahungi ki hum betiyon ke per chhute hai maa ke bhi per chhute hain aur behen ke bhi par jab baat patni par aati hai toh hum joru ka gulam kehete hain. 😔

Patni ka bhi per chunne ka varnan hai. Jese toe ring pehenana, bachhe ko jab patni janm dene jati hai tab charan sparsh karna hota hai pati ko... Par pati ke per chhune par jyada jor diya gaya hai kyuki ancient times par pati selfless service provide karta tha apni patni par... but ab rare hai wesi chizen. Us time patni ko devi ke tarah samman dete the aur har sukh dukh ke sathi the aur patni ke peron me kast ho toh charan sparsh karne me bhi sankuchit nahi hote the aur isiliye hi pati ko puratan kaal me pati ko parmeshwar kehete the... agar yeh sab gun kisike pati me hai toh wo bhi parmeshwar hai apni patni ka. Aur yeh sari gun agar patni me hai toh wo devi hai ya grihalaxmi hai apne pati ki👍
