🚴‍♀️🔧🏁 Deanna Mayles didn’t compete in her first cycling race until 2020 when she snagged a top 10 finish at the Pikes Peak Apex with flat pedals. In 2022, she got the silver medal at Marathon Nationals, but not before the race organizers tried to remove her from the Pro startlist due to her lack of racing experience. This year, Deanna finished the Life Time Grand Prix in the top 10 alongside the top gravel racers in the country. She chatted with Payson earlier this year about her 0 to 60 racing career, getting her dream job at SRAM, why she’s not sure she qualifies as a pro cyclist, and how she ended up racing a World Cup in Europe last year while on vacation.
