Never heard this before. The man was cooler than Sinatra, and puts a song out there as well as Sammy Davis or Elvis. So much confidence. What an incredible entertainer. A legend.

This is just plain divine. No one, NO ONE sings this song as well as Dean. Many have mentioned Jim Reeves and true he is as smooth as butter. I would hate to have to live on the difference. But, there IS a difference. Dean caresses this song with a tenderness and near reverence that no one can match. The way he sings "miracles I guess", "with my arms unfurled", and the "welcome to my world" at the end is simply superb phrasing and styling. Perfect example of why few, if any, could match Dean's interpretation of a lyric and add such emotion to what they are singing. This is the way it should be sung. Well done Dean.

I've always believed I was born too late, because I would much rather listen to Dean Martin or Elvis Presley, then the singers or rappers we have today. there were few singers that elvis took a back seat too....Dean was always in the drivers seat when it came to singing...if he sings a sad song i cry....if he sings a light hearted funny song i smile...he demands your attention when he sings...because what come out...is pure..gold...i have to agree with euphoriax1 who says...dean is probably the best voice ever to grace the planet....amen

To me, THIS is Dean's signature song...NO ONE but no one has ever, or will ever sing it better!!! This handsome man will always be the greatest singer/entertainer that ever lived!!!! He was blessed with good looks, an awesome voice, a quick sense of humor that can't be replicated, and the ability to truly entertain people that will NEVER be matched. God gave the world a genuine blessing when he gave it Dean Martin...hopefully I'll some day meet him in Heaven.

He was a very sensitive person, who had a better voice than anyone else. I was captivated by this in the mid sixties as a fifteen-year-old , if you can believe it. This song is one for the ages.. and still has me in tears after all these years...

What I would give to catch one more live performance by this man. So smooth, such a genius. There will never be another to compare to this great singer of all time.

Back in the day Dean had a variety show on TV. At the end of each episode he would sit on a couch much like this one and sing "Welcome to my World". Near the end of the song he would be joined by a group of very lovely and harmonious women called the Ding-a-ling sisters. Then Dean and they would sing a number of songs together until the show ended. It was the best and most relaxing 10-15 minutes in all of TV, then and now. Anyway that is how I remember it and it is a cherished memory as I never missed that show.

No one has ever managed to copy his his unique sound. truly amazing voice. never ceases to bring a teer to eyes. If I ever get to meet God I will thank him for Dean Martin.

I am a huge Elvis fan, and I just want to say that I adore Dino and his style and voice. Like Elvis, he could sing anything and make it his own. Please don't argue over them, they were both fantastic singers and entertainers, each in their own way. It's not a competition.

No one ever sang it smoother. Dino had perhaps the smoothest, most melodic and captivating tremulo of any crooner, ever. He remains, despite his popularity, a very underrated singer. Of more limited range than say, Perry Como, Dino could nonetheless croon a love ballad in a more endearing way than anyone, with the possible exception of Elvis Presley. This is a beautiful example.

SS: They were both excellent singers. Elvis had superior range, mastery of more styles, and genius in terms of lyric interpretation, but Dino had a particular casual romantic style and smooth delivery that made him a singer even Elvis adored.

Funny, you listen to this version and says it's the best... then you listen to Jim Reeve's version and you can that it's the best, guess what both versions are the best. John, what do you hear that makes Dean's voice a great one? His range was way too limited to ever call it that, and not especially powerful either, though I enjoyed its warmth and melodiousness. Perfect? He cuts his notes short constantly and talks more than sings. Dean was a marvelous entertainer and I loved him, but a great singer he definitely was not, and he knew that more than anybody. It is sacrilegious to call his singing great, even though I enjoyed his crooning.

A voice that just indescribable awesome beautiful. Only Dean can sing like he does.

While I think their are better singers, NO ONE can sing a romantic song like Dean Martin. When I want to hear a love ballad he is my first choice unless there is just a particular song I want to hear and he never recorded the song.

I saw both Frank and Sammy in Vegas but did not get a chance to see Dean. He was the king of Kool with a capital K. Sammy always wanted to be Frank, Frank always wanted to be Dean, and Dean always wanted to be playing golf. His said and did funny things and Frank could not tell a joke to save his life.
