I would think that you would get 200÷47 total deuces because each of those single cards, there are 100 hands so 100×2 is 200

Real math: Five cards are already drawn, so there are 47 cards left. There is a total of 47 Choose 2 = 1,081 combinations. Out of the 1,081 combinations, 46 has a Deuce in it. The chance is therefore 46/1,081, or 2/47. Therefore, in a 100 play poker, you are expected to get approximately 4 hands with four deuces.

Let's go a little deeper for people who are interested. We can determine the probability of getting 0,1,2,... Four Deuces using basic Bernoulli Trial calculation. Probability of N Four Deuces = (100 Choose N) * (2/47)^N * (45/47)^(100-N) Probability Table: Zero Hand of Four Deuces: 1.29% One: 5.74% Two: 12.6% Three: 18.3% Four: 19.8% Five: 16.9% Six: 11.9% Seven: 7.09% Eight: 3.66% Nine: 1.66% Ten: 0.7% Eleven or More: 1.65% As you can see, they got pretty lucky. The chance of getting Ten or more hands of Ten Deuces is a TINY 0.7%+1.65% = 2.35%

I've learned to play DW 44, can I use the same strategy to play all deuces wild variations? I assume I'll make some small mistakes that way since some games seem to say you only play one of two pair for instance.

Plain old jacks or better would be the best game for you because it is the least volatile. Actually it’s 1 - (46/47 * 45/46) --> 1 - 45/47 --> 1 - .9574 or about 4.26%. So getting 10 hands of 4 deuces is pretty high

You might want to turn down the machine volume while the guy's talking

Yeah we are trying to work on figuring that out with the broadcast software. Currently one of us is tied to the same volume channel as the game audio

You guys are missing that you get two cards. So, it's 2/47.

you should get 4. 2 in each slot , so you got the average. 1/47 in each slot 2/ 94 per slot.

I think your chances of getting four dueces when starting with 3 is much higher than you said. Using a standard 52 card deck prior to discarding you have seen 5 cards and there are 47 unknown. You need the last remaining duece which is one card out of 47. However because you have 2 chances to get it, your odds on each hand should be 1/23.5. I think on one hundred hands you should average between 4-5 hands that hit 4 dueces. Incredible luck to hit 10!!!

LOL Your chance is 2 in 47. In 100 tries you should get a bit more than 4.
