Rejection is painful. A man ghosted me 2 months ago after we'd agreed on a date. That stung so I texted him days later telling him to learn to respect people's time. Weeks later, he reappeared from the dead and started commenting on my social media posts☹️ I ignored him. A month after that, he texted me saying "I owe you a good fuck before the year ends." I had to tell him off. I don't block such people. Instead, I tell them off when they return and go on with my life. It's upon them to notice that I've moved on because I don't owe a ghoster any amount of explanation. I think ghosters are immature, cowardly and disrespectful humans. Ghosting is also emotional abuse. It's like silent treatment.

My story in summary : pursued me for years , finally caved , had the happiest 1 month of my life in that relationship .He travels to shagz,we are to meet for a date when he returns , calls unanswered for 24 hours . Smitten but naive me pesters ,I even report missing person . That’s the day I learnt what ghosting is . Lord 🤦🏾‍♀️ it hurt so bad I left the country .

Yeah my experience from rejection is from ghosting!!! Waaah talk about ‘character development’!! I was ghosted by my fiancé and I had to find a way to get over it as I was overseas studying at the time. I found that you can get on with life without ‘closure’!😂

Hey Murugi and Lydia, This was an awesome show. I would love to contribute on two things; First, its okay for you guys to be called big sisters. The title 'Big sister' is not about age, it's associated with wisdom and you ladies are saturated with some. So just embrace it yoh.💌 Secondly, about that dilemma you ladies handled. I have been there before. I had never dated seriously, I would in fact disappear when men become serious with me. So many times I even changed my telephone number, I was afraid of being more than a friend with men. I was okay on my own. This was because I lived with an aunt of mine while in Primary School and Her hubby used to cheat on her with different ladies, beat her up when she complained and threaten me not to tell on him every time he brought home a lady. And so, I knew these ladies, I knew my aunt was being cheated on but I never had the courage to tell anyone. This became a good breeding ground for all my insecurities as far as relationships with men is concerned. Forward to when I met my husband after campus, we connected so well and I opened up to him about what happened to me and how insecure I was. The guy made it his duty to help me heal and he encouraged me to allow myself heal. He hid nothing from me, he validated me every single day and I slowly learnt to trust again and for the first time I allowed myself to love. Then he proposed to me and we got married. I got married a healed person with zero insecurities. Right now, there is nothing about me that someone can say to pin me down and there is nothing my husband does that makes me seriously hurt and I freely express myself about serious and delicate issues without involving my emotions. So, I just want to encourage that lady that she doesn't have to separate with that guy to heal while apart, because how can you heal from something you aren't confronting? Its okay to be in a relationship and still have all your baggage, its okay to feel insecure about things and it is okay to confront your partner whenever you feel insecure about somethings. The guy should know, she isn't accusing him, she just needs disclosure, with time, she will gain trust and those confrontations will tone down. Otherwise, I wish her all the very best in her new relationship and kudos to you guys for this quality podcast! Cheers!

Silent rejection really hurts,it makes you question your worth and everything in you, I prefer someone to speak up and say this won't work or am not your type rather than just ghosting me and making me feel insecure about myself

I have been ghosted and it hurts did the thing, moved on dint take long before he found out I had started dating again, then the late night text and calls started again, we met a couple of time coz I wanted to give him something he never gave me, respect(3years in a relationship)but I knew I was done with him, to cut the long story short, I changed my number once I made it clear I was not interested in getting back together, 10 years down the line he still calls my sister to check up on me…

Rejection hurts but learning to move on is a life skill✔️ On today's dilemma, I'll reiterate what you said. The guy has a past and has been honest about it, I feel like she should give him the benefit of doubt and trust him unless he gives her a reason not to by acting a fool🤷‍♀️ Say he does cheat or whatever, that doesn't mean that the lady should feel guilty because she should have "seen it coming". It only means that she trusted him and he broke it. Simple. Also, cheers to self awareness! 🥂

Wouldn't recommend. As a recent ghostee, the person tends to think there is something wrong with them when in reality, it has nothing to do with them. Just tell them that while you think they are a great person and you enjoy their company, you are not ready to take the next step. There won't be a conversation to be had after that.

@@justmyworld2542 well, I don't know the first thing about psychology but I think it's good to just let them know. I would tell them that I appreciate the effort but I'm not interested in furthering the acquaintance. There, i drew my boundary. Since this person is toxic i assume he or she can't handle my reasons for cutting them off. If they blow it out of proportion, call me names etc, i would block them, for the sake of my mental health. If they are open minded enough, i would state my reasons, gently of course. Maybe it's something they don't already know about themselves and they would wanna work on it. But it won't change the fact that I'm ending the acquaintance. Just my two cents though

😅😅To be sincerely honest in my humble opinion without being sentimental of course without offending anyone who thinks differently from my point of view and without hiding any thoughts in my mind and without lies,to the actual truth with my clear open mind and clean heart, expressing what ever is embedded inside me for a long time which I didn't say just because I was nervous. But Today, by gathering all the courage and motivation, I just want to say that I actually feel and think that I have absolutely nothing to say. Oooh I almost forgot I love every one of you who is reading this😉😘

those who have never been ghosted ,how does it feel to be GOD`S favorite ? anyway another thing about rejection is also that you are being rejected because you are too good for them they can not handle your worth ,so it is not every time you are rejected that you are not good enough and the rejecter🤫 most of the time don't have the courage to tell you that .so they make you feel you are not good enough
