The only control we have as humans is "how we feel". So,if you let others dictate your feelings, what that means is, you have given the only true power you have, ever will have, to someone else. So,thats how you really stand up and be a man.Take your power back.

I learned to deal with anger and resentment by attending Joe Dispenza's workshops. For me I had to see how my body reacts under those conditions. It works!

Law of attraction, m'dear. Focus your attention on what it will be like living amongst others who understand and proactively take control of their vibration, and "get ready to be ready" as Abraham says, to integrate these people into your life as they appear. They're already on the way, they have been since you first launched the 🚀

How I was shown I am the controller of my emotions... One fine spring day I pulled out from a parking lot onto a 4-lane moderate-trafficked road where the speed limit was 45 mph. Of course, we all know that really means somewhere between 45 and 55. 😉 I was in a delightful mood, had just had my hair done, looked spiffy and had a date that night with a guy I was gone over. Needless to say I was in a glorious mood. Suddenly, I noticed a driver had crept up beside me & was matching my speed. Well, my gut told me this was the unfurling of road rage. I was NOT getting caught up in some road rage bout today. I decided to ignore him. Then, a different thought came into my mind... "Go ahead and look over." "Nope,' I thought to my Inner Being. 'I'm not entertaining this fool. I'm in a good mood and I'm staying in a good mood." Then my Inner Being urged me again to look over. Again, I thought I was right and looking over would only end badly so I declined. "Go ahead,' my Inner Being urged, 'It'll be funny!" "Well, I was not ABOUT to laugh at some angry maniac driver!' Or, so I thought. 'Then he'd REALLY go off on me!" Anyway, I finally gave in and looked over. And, oh my! I had to fight back laughter. It WAS funny! This man was in full conniption! His face was red. His veins were popping out of his head. It was hysterical! Finally, I couldn't refrain. I chuckled. He couldn't hear it, but it was quite obviousl I was amused. The idea occurred to me (prompted by my Inner Being, perhaps) that I could pretend I recognized him so it would look like friendliness instead of ridicule. Well, I couldn't hear him, so most of what he was hollering was lost on me, but I did understand his mouthing of, "I don't know you, bit**! To which I nearly busted. By this time tears of extreme amusement were streaming down my face and my sides and cheeks were growing sore from laughter. Luckily, we came to an intersection where I turned right and he went straight. The first chance I got, once he was out of sight, I pulled over to finish laughing, wipe my eyes and cheeks and collect myself. Then I realized why I manifested (or co-manifested this) to learn, no one can "make" me angry. I just needed a strategy and practice at applying it. Now I laugh at people like him because I DECIDE whether to be happy or let people upset me! Of course, now I'm pretty good at quietly smiling while laughing on the inside only... usually. Pretending to be stupid or confused, all the while, also works. Now I can usually retain my sense of humor, secretly, on the inside, most of the time.

I agree - when you're mad go general. However there is a point of the person in Front of me is doing/talking shitty things to me which knock me so far out of alignment it's hurting my mental health and capability to go general. This is what he's asking and she's telling him an elementary school solution that is hard relationship conflicts that get worse over time, don't work. The real solution - if someone is knocking me out of alignment so long so much, that person can't be with me.

It's about shock absorbers. Nobody can knock you out of alignment unless you give them permission. They don't have that kind of power unless you give it to them. Work on your relationship with your inner being in the smooth times and the bumps you encounter out in the world will be pebbles you barely notice.

a bump, sure. But he's not talking about bumps - he's talking about landslides and so was I. I'm thinking of the example of my mother with her negative energy/sayings. She does knock me out of alignment and while I can get back to my peaceful state, it's still jarring.@@la_scrittice_vita

When I react to the person in front of me with the feeling of resentment, the best thing I can do is remove myself from them right then. I go in another room and calm myself with breathing techniques, as a beginning. Because I will have to again face the person in front of me. We live together. Yes, we no longer belong together, but I need to change to be strong enough to step into the changes I’m asking for. I need to get ready to receive. I need to align myself. Change what you think and change how you feel to change your personal reality.

Let's say you don't like your job. When you're not in a good place mentally, dwelling on the details is going to make it worse. You want to "go general" by thinking "I want to be appreciated, have pleasant and competent coworkers, feel good when I get to the office and excited to start a new project". When you are in a good headspace, and get into a daydream frame if mind, then it's good to fill in details, as much as you want, like when you were a kid imagining the announcer doing the play-by-play as you won the world series or your acceptance speech winning an Oscar.

but doesn’t she teach that in order to move up the emotional scale from low vibrations we have to move into emotions like anger and rage and blame?? and that that’s the path of least resistance which is why it feels better. it’s kinda confusing that she’s saying your making it worse if you do that now. in my opinion getting it all out and then moving past is is much easier whether it be to that person or not

So basically, lets say your way of venting is journaling, what might be happening is that your thoughts get sorted out as u journal and u see things more clearly, from a more detached perspective, and that helps u get more solution-focused, thereby letting u feel better. path of least resistance. if screaming at someone makes u feel better maybe it allows u to release the energy stuck inside you. Honestly even i feel venting is a great way of releasing anger etc, this vid didnt resonate w me as much. But i think the point AH tries to get across, the essence of their teachings is that we need to find the path of least resistance. everytime and all the time. whatever that may be. you do you boo, whatever works for u💕

Basically what Abraham is saying is do whatever you can in that moment to feel a little better than what you’re feeling. At 4:55 it says that if venting makes you feel better then do it, but if you see that it makes you feel worse, then dont do it.

She isn't saying you "have to" only that you _might_ on occasion. If you are 50 lbs overweight, you have to be 45 lbs overweight on the way to being 10. So don't be afraid if the first better feeling thought you can manage isn't something Hallmark makes cards for. Revenge isn't a final destination, but implies a tomorrow so it's better than walking into traffic.

Agreed. If there’s intense unprocessed emotions, it’s impossible to manifest anything past a certain point. That’s why I stopped listening to Abraham because it eventually just stopped working for me - since then I’ve done a lot of therapy and inner work. A good analogy is if you stuff your anger and emotions down, masking them with “only good vibes”, like an inflatable ball in water, it WILL have to eventually pop up to the surface and show itself.

I'm completely confused-venting is negative but clarifies what I want while I'm focusing on what I don't want and so, although I'm focusing on what I don't want and keeping this vibration alive, while venting, I'm focusing on what I dont want but do want, and increasing that vibration...? In other lectures, Abraham says anger is a negative emotion which doesn't allow expansion for what you want,, but in the same lecture says that you need to be angry in order to allow the contrast to flow and for you to become aligned with your source energy and allow you to progress... This is confusing.

anger is higher up the emotional scale closer one step to the top - so its good to move in that upward direction but watch to not maybe sit in the anger - and continue to move up the scale

There are different issues at play here. No one size piece of advice fits all situations. If you are going through life carrying the memory of (for example) every teacher who didn't teach in a way that served you, and you practice that frustration, you are practicing the vibration and ordering up more. However, if you just read the above and think "sh*t, I'm doing it wrong" and try to block out those thoughts, you wind up feeding the very thing you're trying to push away, and feeling bad about yourself to boot. Instead, you have to own your feelings. Know they are valid. Contrast comes with living in the world and this particular type pisses you off. But then, consider what rockets of desire that experience launched. "Well, I want better teachers... people who understand me and present material in a way I can absorb... or I want to be able to adapt to whoever comes my way, so I am not dependent on chance... but it's not chance, it's my vibration bringing me these experiences, so I am kn control after all..." etc. There is always "the other end of the stick" to focus on. That "when people are mean, you want them to be nicer" but in order to see it, you may need to work through some anger & negative feelings. I always say if you are 50 lbs overweight, you need to be 45 on your way to 30, 20, and 10. Your "better feeling thought" after a bad blow may be something quite nasty. It might be revenge. That's not a final destination but it can be a next step when you're ready to walk into traffic. "Revenge" has you thinking about tomorrow. 17 seconds of that, there should be an even better thought.
