Deafness, or hearing loss refers to the total or partial inability to hear sounds. There are many causes, and it can affect anyone at any age, but it's most common among people older than 60.
Aging and chronic exposure to loud noises both contribute to hearing loss. Other factors, such as excessive earwax, can temporarily reduce how well your ears conduct sounds. Hearing loss is generally not curable, but it is almost always treatable.
Some types of hearing loss, especially conductive types, can be medically or surgically corrected. There are many ways to prevent hearing loss or prevent it from worsening. Hearing protection generally comes in earplugs, earmuffs, or noise-canceling headphones.

Dear Dr sahib I have listening problem my listening power is weak I done my eardrum surgery in Al shafa hospital on 2 lake ruppe but instead of it am not improved Dr told that your auditory nerve or vain are weak so it treatment is not possible so sir plz give a suggestion about it .. I am waiting for your reply. I can't hear on my right ear as compere to left .

I got hearing loss in one ear from 2017 because my eardrum got burst, so now I can't hear from that ear. But the doctor gave no medicine for this, just told to take precautions when take shower or go for swimming.
