So one of the game devs contacted me in order to clear up some bullet characteristics confusion, this is what he said: "The game has a bullet drop. The bullet comes out of the barrel, it has its own speed. Ballistics is close to realistic, not as usual in games. You can view the weapon's ballistic data from the real world." So yea turns out there is bullet drop, but its pretty minimal

I also tell every single person that I know about these videos if they play deadside or not (I recruit as money players as possible to play with me) The issue is that there aren't a TON of people who like the hardcore aspect, like dying and losing all of their stuff, which is a shame because its basically ALL that I like. Hard core - the flip side is that if you're even decent at FPS you can really clean up in this game. So the rigs with 8 and 10 slots have no armor, only the plate carrier one with 4 slots does, and its the same armor level as the police vests. Its pretty confusing kinda like the tactical helmet and "operator helmet," I hope they rename it to something like "police plate carrier" in the future.

props to this quality upload. so to make sure all other vest (tactical vest 8/10 slots to be exact) not included in this video doesnt have damage reduction?

Yeah those vests have no armor at all, it's only that specific plate carrier with the 4 inventory slots, the other tac vests with 8 and 10 slots are effectively just a different looking backpack

I've got 60 hours in this game and I use the SVD the most. Pure powerhouse and absolutely destroys in almost every aspect. I haven't lost a PVP fight yet with it. My longest shot was 369m. Enemy body render distance is at 400m even when running at max settings. I hope they increase because I'd love to hit someone from 500m+

as far as gain goes, the higher you raise it there is more distortion. I think the music in some parts is just slightly too high and thats what the issue is. But I'm glad you enjoyed! I'll get the microphone quality where I want it eventually

but on npc´s my 45 caliber does kill with 1 headshot and the hardhead on? have they other lifepoints than players?

the only thing I found stupid is the scorpion and the makarov are using the same bullet and the makarov is more powerful then the scorpion I think they should have at least separate the categories in the bullet types and give different demages for each type. But nice info man thanks!

True but you gotta keep in mind the scorp has the fastest fire rate of any gun in the game, plus it does pretty good headshot damage, if it had the same damage as the makarov it would probably be the best submachine gun in the game

What about hunter vest?

I think it's not a bullet drop, instead it's the barrel-sight offset. If you shoot closer you aim higher, when further at certain range the bullet is gonna hit right on the dot. In theory after that you'll need to aim lower, but I don't think I've ever shoot that far.

yeah sight over bore and scope zeroing can effect things close range, but past 30m the reticle is pretty much dead on, the only time it isnt is ~300m , and really all you need to do is aim about an inch higher on the target, so the top of a helmet. I just released a part 2 to this video where I show bullet drop from an early dev stream, so its 100% in game, I just didnt know that at the time of recording this video

the k6-3 is an altyn tho, just the commercial side of it.

There are some differences, the face shield is constructed differently and the K6 does not have a radio, but yeah they are basically the same overall, just thought it would be a cool fun fact for the video.

Actually it makes sense that the 45 ACP doesn’t do that much damage to the helmet as the 45 ACP is a very slow round and doesn’t have great penetration qualities irl

Yeah it does make sense, but it still does full damage to body armor, and actually has a faster time to kill than an RPK to the chest, which is kinda silly. Personally I don't care about realism when it comes to Deadside, but balance wise, it does not make sense that a 30k gun outperforms a 50k gun. I'll make a weapon analysis video on the UMR soon, and I'll rant more about it lol

Needs shots from distance, feel like half of the guns can go out the window past 100 meters.

I have a video on what the longest possible shot is, but from my own testing it's seems almost every weapon is effective up to 250 meters, past that point smgs start to have accuracy trouble, but if you hit your target you still do full damage, regardless of distance

And you can see bullet drop if you try and shoot your friends from 900m away with a vsd

I found a heavy assault vest, and then I left it cause it didn't have pockets smh...

Base raiding is planned to be added in the future, but I would say it's going to be a while simply because of all the things they are going to need to add for it to work correctly.

Still needs work in game, there’s no point wearing the heavy armor if it’s only a slight difference. Considering normal assault is far easier to get.

I see people saying this a lot, the numbers make it seem like an extra 5% isn't a big deal, but it will save you from 1 extra shot generally. It's like if you said there is no point in wearing assault armor because it just 5% more protection than a police vest, because that's a lot easier to get than assault armor. It might not seem like a huge difference but that extra 5% can and will save you in some fights. I didn't mention it in this video because I didn't know it at the time, but the heavy assault vest protects more areas compared to assault armor, it protects your shoulders and crotch, which will save you a lot against stuff like shotguns. I think one of the best things about this game is that some with full gear can still die easily to a fresh spawn if they get outplayed, and I don't want that to change by buffing the heavy assault armor.

@@LoafDS I hear what you are saying, however I don't think any fresh spawn should be able to kill someone wearing literally 500k worth of gear. shoulders don't get hit much because most of the time people are shooting from a distance in the trees. If a fresh spawn can kill a fully geared kit then theres no point in farming the high tier loot. guide was very good though, I hope they don't wipe with new update lol i have lots of stuff. any news on when it might happen?

@@GacktSama1992 Sometime this month, and I don't believe they are going to wipe the servers on the update. And also about the gear, that's why I said if the fresh spawn outplays the person with the gear. If it was a pure fair fight where each player opens fire at the same time, the geared player would win every time without fail, assuming they both have the same aim skills. If you use your gear and money the correct way, freshspawns become target practice instead of a threat. But if a low gear guy sneaks up on you or flanks you, it doesn't matter how much gear you have on, you are dead either way, which is nice compared to other games like eft or dayz where your bullets just bounce off

@@LoafDS Yeah I had some ideas they could work with aswell. update the backpacks so that each tier has a upgrade to carry a weapon. military backpack one gun, typhoon two and stalker at least 4 being top tier. and also having it so you can loot other backpacks wouldnt be a bad idea aswell what you think?:)

@@GacktSama1992 I would like to be able to fit one weapon into a typhoon bag, since the only difference between a typhoon and an assault bag is that the typhoon has 2 more slots, and costs 25k more, seems kinda overpriced to me. If it was able to hold one weapon, I think it should cost 75k, since thats about half of what a stalker costs. But other than that I don' t really feel like adding more weapon slots is needed, its pretty easy at the moment to fill an entire base with plenty of guns. Also I kinda like how you cant fit bags inside of other bags, it makes it that much harder to get lots of bags in your stash, which keeps the better bags more rare, and you wont see people running the best bags all the time.

@@LoafDS im pretty sure the operator helmet is American and not Russian if you never played the game pavlov or watched American military tribute videos you will see that US soldiers wearing the operator helmet and the Russian face shield helmet is a riot helmet made in Russia and Russian soldiers wear that helmet especially in pavlov

@@OfficerBarricade I would avoid using videogames as references for real life military items. Look up the LZSH+1, it's the exact helmet that's in game. The heavy assault helmet is not a riot helmet either, it's the K6-3 made for the FSB/KGB. It was used mainly for counter insurgency operations. Actual Russian riot helmets are very different, like the Kolpack

@@LoafDS ok and if the heavy assault helmet is not a riot helmet then why does it have the face shield on it? cuz police officers in the US wear riot helmets that have face shields so if you look up both the American operator helmet and the Russian heavy assault helmet with the face shield you can actually tell that im actually right the operator helmet was made in America if you don't believe me ask any US Navy seal about the operator helmet and they will tell you that helmet is not Russian cuz if it was Russian the US military wouldn't wear it after all so how about you buy the operator helmet irl and look at the tag where it was made and it will say "made in USA"

@@OfficerBarricade you know there is no real life helmet called an "operator helmet" right? What specific helmet are you even talking about? What do you want me to buy? There are many helmets of this type out there, made in both America and Russia. "Operator Helmet" is just the made up name the game uses. It's also pretty well known that the LZSH helmets are lower quality copies of western helmets, that's why it looks American, when in reality it is not. Also the K6-3 is made out of titanium and aramid fibers to stop up to low power rifle rounds. The glass on the face shield is able to stop some pistol rounds, and is mainly there for shrapnel protection. The K6-3 is basically just an Altyn helmet without the radio. The Altyn saw service during the Soviet war in Afghanistan, so it's safe to say that it's strictly a military helmet, adapted for use in the FSB.
