Wanda versus Jean, what a concept. That could be a great fight if done right. I am disappointed that they insist on making Wanda a villain and I'm hoping that her redemption arc comes soon. I know she went thru a whole villain arc in the comics but I was never fond of that run. I am looking forward to seeing this Deadpool/Wolvie team-up/fight.

Thing is... Wanda is actually a villain, even in the comics... Jean Grey on the other hand has a far more strong moral compass, the bad things she did was due the influence of a being far more powerful than her, and even so it was because Jean couln't take full control of the Phoenix, at some point she at least stop being so worthless and actually take a stand for herself and for the bad things she did, she still fight for her redemption, but now she is on the right path. Wanda on the other hand seems to get crazier as the more powerfull she become (or the more powerful she become, the more crazier she gets...?) well, whatever, to me it seens like this, Jean Grey can actually evolve to something good (and she does this in the comics...) while Wanda due to the very nature of her power can ONLY do some good if she GET RID of her powers, otherwise she will be destined to become this bomb waiting to happen....

The Dark Phoenix indeed was a tuning point for Jean Grey, BUT it was one of the most iconic moments in the comics industry history So much so that even inspired in the 90's the Death of Superman... Jean Grey wasn't ever... normal, her powers manifested when she was a kid, and she is the most POWERFUL X-men, and possibly the most powerful mutant, an omega level mutant... all of this, WITHOUT even have the Phoenix force. Wanda is NOTHING, she is the favorite of this MCU generation that most likely never read comics in their whole life, and definetely didn't read any comics from Marvel's golden and silver ages... If Marvel is still a thing this days, you can thank all this to the Jean Grey / Phoenix not MCU Wanda...

I loved Famke’s Phoenix! Way more fire and emotion than anyone else who played the role. Plus Logan had a thing for her. Can’t exactly see him trying to make the moves on Sophie Turner. She’s _way_ too young. 😂😂

In Avengers vs. X-Men, Scarlet Witch was able to hurt The Phoenix when it was divided amongst 5 hosts. However, the more hosts Wanda defeated the harder it became for her to hurt Phoenix. Ultimately, Phoenix is more powerful.

​@@johnellis9077it more than clearly suggests that. Wanda did not even beat Cyclops when he went DP after absorbing all the PF shards the other 4 had. She even said it on panel that she had given it all she's got and Cyclops wasnt even weakened a bit by any of her attacks. This was Cyclops as Dark Phoenix who only had a fraction of the Phoenix Force and Wanda couldn't even deal with him. Imagine how she would fare against an omega-level psychic who also happens to be the Force's preferred host and the one true Phoenix. WPOTC Jean has already been stated to be only under TOAA in Marvel's most powerful characters.

Correct, I couldn't agree more. Darkhold contains an infinite amount of knowledge which is why Wanda Maximoff wanted to possess it. She needs knowledge, a deep knowledge that will make her more powerful. And since Darkhold was been created by Chathon, of course, it is created by Chaos too, so chaos to chaos magic makes improvements or makes more of an opportunity for Wanda. Wanda was able to analyze and used those spells and encantation written in the dark hold to her advantage.

That being said it doesn't matter if Famke's Phoenix isn't from the MCU she doesn't have to be to encounter Wanda due to the multiverse intertwining now. Charlie just explained how it will work.

There is nothing Wanda can really do alone against Phoenix.

This has the potential to be one of the best mcu movies and if done right could even give the older fox marvel movies a different way of looking at them and maybe people could enjoy them more now that there part of wider universe telling a story and could just do a little bit of justice to those takes on those characters

Except that that wasn't Jean. It's the Phoenix taking the form of Jean Grey absorbing her memories, emotions, abilities, etc. The real Jean was placed in a protected capsule under Jamaica bay while all of that happened. The Phoenix kept her there until she's fully healed. What's more impressing to me is that she can make the PF succumb to her will and it can't even kill her even it wanted to. Also, she's able to rip out the PF from any host in any universe, because as she said, she is and will always be Jean and the Phoenix cuz they are one.

​@@ArJay1688i actually had that comic back during 1985 or 86. The only reason why the story went that direction is because Marvel decided to bring Jean Grey back. Before that decision was made. Jean Grey was Phoenix. I was disappointed when that story shifted to that direction. I had the Dark Phoenix graphic novel back during 1984. It had an impact on me.

So glad to hear X-MEN is being put into action 🔥

Honestly though, they better not have Jean Grey/Phoenix get taken out just like those other guys in Multiverse of madness.

I would love to see Wanda in the MCU again, but I don't know if I'd wanna see her as villain again tbh, especially since it would be right after Multiverse of Madness for her. 9:05 I definitely wouldn't want her to lose her powers tho.

The White Crown belongs solely to Jean Grey. Wanda could claim a Phoenix, but not so long as a Jean exists to take it from her.

Wanda is actually omniversal. Writers of x books (who don’t particularly like Wanda) claims it was planetary despite multiple books stating it was multiversal and dr strange saying she warped billions of dimensions. The chaos wave Wanda didn’t even control was ripping through the omniverse and threatened all of creation. By feats Wanda is actually more powerful and while the phoenix can’t be defeated the host absolutely can and has been on a multiple occasions.

I mean let’s say she let wolverine and the shi’ar shot her in the back. Magneto still took her down after telling him their battle is over while standing over his body. Wanda can do the same to jean. Phoenix’s work isn’t irreversible and it never has been which is why she’s allegedly responsible for the Big Bang yet Franklin, Wanda, Strange, and Wiccan alone have all warped it at some point.

When Wanda fought Cyclops as the Phoenix Force, she was unable to defeat him. Not even her hexes could stop him. This is because the Phoenix Force is a cosmic entity that is far more powerful than Wanda's magic. In fact, Hope Summers once mimicked Wanda's power and together they wished the Phoenix Force away, but it didn't work. The Phoenix Force simply pushed itself out of Cyclops' body. Wanda has never been able to overpower the Phoenix Force, but she has been able to redirect its power to hurt it. For example, in the House of M storyline, Wanda used her powers to rewrite reality and make mutants the dominant species on Earth. This act of power drew the attention of the Phoenix Force, which possessed Wanda and turned her into the Scarlet Witch. However, Wanda was able to use her knowledge of the Phoenix Force to redirect its power and destroy it. The Phoenix Force is a powerful entity, but the host is not invincible. They can be killed if it is separated from the Phoenix Force or if it chooses not to resurrect the host body.. Wanda has been defeated by the Beyonders, other Phoenix avatars, the Living Tribunal, and Rogue. However, she has also defeated Jean Grey on several occasions, even when Jean was possessed by the Phoenix Force. if Wanda is able to redirect the Phoenix Force's power, she has a chance of defeating Jean. But that has not always been possible in the past. @@jessea3165 then you’re just being delusional I suggest you actually read about Wanda because as someone who’s read everything with her in it (be it appearance or statements) I’m telling you she’s omniversal. I also suggest you read that story again because in issue 10 she claims “that’s all I got” then in issue 11 she drops him before he could hurt magneto. It was also mentioned twice that Wanda was their only hope. Hope states “she’s the only thing they’re afraid of”. Tony states “she’s mimicking Wanda’s hexes and channeling them into her version of the iron fist”. I suggest you reread that story. That being said I hate when people bring that story up because Wanda did all that while being a weaker version of herself. Her current self puts her house of m version to shame and you’d know this if you’ve actually kept up with her. Also jean has NEVER beaten Wanda. They’ve fought 5 times across the timelines and realities and Wanda always drops jean. Again you need to read more and even if you don’t the information is online. And I’ll tell you exactly how she did it. She’s taken away her powers, teleported her to NJ, turned her probe back on her TWICE knocking jean out for some reason, and turned her psychic attack back on hers.

I'm with Jean Grey with Phoenix all the time! But man this will be awesome! Would love to see how they break down the yin yang and counterpart differences of their powers!!! Hopefully they don't mess it up!!!

Words can't explain how hyped I am for this movie, every week brings new information. Truly the gift that keeps on giving.

Let's hope they capture the essence of the characters, unlike what happened in Dr. Strange 2. While Xavier was closer to his comic book counterpart, he appeared weaker compared to other versions of Xavier. In one scene, when he entered Wanda's mind, he seemed to forget that within the mental plane, he could warp reality. This contrasted with a powerful moment from the film (X-Men: Apocalypse) where he fought Apocalypse and created a mansion in the mental plane, dominating Apocalypse briefly until the tides turned. The point I am making he tried to pull the Wanda out of the dark hole she resided in, instead of warping reality within the mental plane to simple remove the cave. Also, while the Phoenix Force holds a dominant position in the universe, there exist beings even more powerful than it. I vividly recall a mesmerizing comic featuring three witches known as the Cosmic Coven: Witches of Infinity or Enchantresses of Eternity who are more powerful and older than any god. These awe-inspiring beings reside within the mystical God Quarry, drawing sustenance from the souls of fallen gods. Their might is so extraordinary that the Phoenix Force itself harbored fear towards them, an unprecedented display of power. When the Phoenix Force dared to interfere with the Cosmic Coven's realm, the witches took action. With a mere wave of their hand, they exorcised the Phoenix Force from its host before banish it from their domain. They have even banished Death itself from the god Quarry realm. Also, Wanda, with all her reality-warping powers, found herself in a stalemate against Reece Owens, the Molecule Man, when Mephisto manipulated Reece into attacking her. Neither of them was able to gain the upper hand until Wanda used her powers over chaos to trick Owen into thinking that he had won by creating an construct of herself which Owen defeated. She was then able to get close to him and sever the connection between him and Mephisto. Reece Owens is incredibly powerful, capable of neutralizing Asgardian magic and has even prevented the Enchantress and Loki from using their powers. His control over molecules can even neutralize magic itself, including god magic, which is why Wanda couldn't defeat him directly and had to resort to using tricks to overcome him,

Phoenix is an abstract that is a universal to multiversal threat and if they are not nerfing her. Jean Gray especially the dark phoenix against Scarlet Witch then she is supposed to win. Regardless of what magic she uses even with the Darkhold.

I was about to say Scarlet Witch is insanely powerful, but the Phoenix is an actual Entity that has it's pocket dimension. It can literally destroy universes which would make it stronger than Scarlet Witch.

Technically Phoenix should DESTROY Scarlett Witch but she should put up a descent fight tho

Well since both Phoenix and SW already went main vilain in movies I don’t think they’re going to make one of them bad or fighting against each other. Magneto as the host of Genosha or only house of M is already great. I hope they’ll bring Polaris to the cast. Don’t forget that we also have Elektra as a kinda of main character in this movie, I don’t think we’ll get a final battle as big as SW vs Phoenix. More like a universal fight where different team gotta fight different or similaire enemies to save the timeline or whatever.

I honestly hope they don’t make Wanda and Jean fight EACHOTHER or make Wanda or Jean the villain AGAIN cause at this point it’s just kinda played out. I’d rather see them fighting together 😭 plus if they do fight, and one wins. The other ones fandom will go nuts. 💀

Why do all these characters hate on Wanda? I get she did unspeakable things to some of them in Dr Strange and was morally questionable in Wandavision, but she's just in so much pain. She has way more potential to help as a force of good, instead of being treated like a force of evil. She needs a redemption arc because everyone is treating her like she's evil. She just wanted her children back!

It’ll be fine, endgame and infinity war are some of the highest rated films of all time and they had hundreds of hero cameos

The thing about wanda is that her powers arent really explained because theres no guessing what she can do ,go read the new comics and see how powerfull She's become !

Well in the comics, Scarlet witch is simply the most powerful being in all of fiction. The Phoenix force is born out of the secret fire which originates from the first magic which Chaos is the source of all magic. The Mother horrors who is the One above all true opposite, is merely an aspect of Chaos, and Wanda is Chaos itself and the source of Chaos

Phoenix would have to stick to telepathy while Scarlet Witch sticks to hexing because the chaos (realities) vs telekinesis (shield) could neutralize each other out, because the Phoenix shielding could temporarily hold Witch, cause Witch confusion, then Pheonix unleashes her Phoenix telepathy to stop Witches illusions (basically an Xavier move).

Jean can break down matter and reshape it, that is the definition of reality warping. She can do it at a multiversal level. The god wanda borrows her powers from... is weaker than the phoenix... Jean literally towers over her in every possible way. To add insult to injury... Wanda's mind is broken form losing her children... It wouldn't take much for the STRONGEST telepath in the marvel universe to use that against her.

I do love The Scarlet Witch she is my all time fave. But I do think the Phoenix is stronger but I’m still rooting for The Scarlet Witch

If Elizabeth Olsen *does* come back as Wanda in Deadpool 3 for a House of M storyline then I wonder if Aaron Taylor-Johnson could also make an appearance as Pietro again. I know it'd be complicated since he's playing Kraven in the Sonyverse now, but I'd be cool to see him in the MCU again, I loved his version of Quicksilver lol. Who knows, we might even get a Polaris cameo.

Holy crap if this fight was to really happen, holy shi* what a battle this would be, I don't think there is enough CGI in the world to create the amount of power these two could wield in one movie!

I'd vote for Phoenix to win. I really do NOT like the Scarlet Witch of the recent MCU films.

Wanda can warp reality, but reality wouldn’t exist without the Pheonix. The Pheonix is a child of the universe and it the nexus of life, death, and rebirth. It’s a no brainer; of course The Pheonix would win. The Phoenix is the nexus of all sionic energy that ever were and ever will be. The Pheonix is the spark of passion that created the universe and ultimately is the flame that will consume it.

In MUC, Chthon is a demon instead of an elder god, and Wanda has Psionic: the psychic ability to use multiple psychic based powers in one package, before finding out that she has chaos magic. Therefor she's got both superpowers and magic at the same time. In the X-Men movie universe saying the Phoenix Force "is the spark that gave life in the universe", it literally is an energy splitter of the Big Bang. I do wish there was more of White Phoenix Jean around.

Hopefully cyclops is the leader of the X-men

my initial reaction to scarlet witch vs phoenix was phoenix all the way but then thinking about scarlet witch with a thought "No More Mutants" and pretty much not 100% that happened is hectic power scaling so again im leaning dark phoenix...Hope it does go down though whatever happens im glad i watched this charlie wasnt at all hyped for deadpool 3 before seeing this but totally am now..Cheers :)

The Thanos snap versus Wolverine’s healing factor video clip is clever and hilarious? 😅 Super excited to see powerhouses Scarlet Witch vs Jean Grey Phoenix. That alone warrants the price of admission.

Remember that the wanda fighting the phoenix in deadpool 3 is the 838 wanda. Not the main Scarlet witch wanda. The 838 wanda is way weaker than the main wanda. that is why the illuminati does not bother at all during MoM. And they are surprise on how powerful the scarlet witch is.

As good as it sounds, I seriously hope the director gave them a PROPER fight. Like not some shitty throwing stuff at each other, but full on fight. That's what the fans want. Make it good. I think Phoenix wins, I mean Wanda scale is sub multiversal, but Phoenix is multiversal nighomnipotent. Wouldn't make sense if Wanda wins.

She not equal in power because that comparison was just metaphor used by Tony Stark. Describing how Scarlet decimated mutants only to be reversed by the Phoenix.

This fight has been in the making for 50 years. Dispite Wanda being in the brotherhood an Jean being an x-men they have never faced off.

I don't think this is going to happen though would be nice to see it I think the next time we truly see Wanda will be either a post credit scene in the next avengers film or secret wars that's my guess.

I hope the strike ends soon so they can get back to filming!

I am one of those that used to mix them up. Seeing them fight would probably clear that confusion for another casual fan. It would be crazy though, really crazy.

This gets me hyped for this movie if they do it right. Actually Wanda and the Phoenix are still bottom tier in terms of power scaling in Marvel. The Living Tribunal is NOT truly afraid of the Phoenix lol and there's like 15 to 20 more characters still way more powerful than them both. Oblivion, Infinity, Eternity, Molecule, Franklin Richards, TRUE Strange Supreme, Rune Thor, Odin, The Stranger, The Fulcrum, A FULLY FED Galactus, Death, God Doom, and etc, I just named about 14 characters that could defeat the Phoenix and Scarlet Witch that wasn't named on the video. There's a few that can defeat both Wanda and the Phoenix put together or at the same time like Oblivion for instance
