Highlights from the Deadlift For Reps event at the 2020 Arnold Pro Strongman USA Qualifier in Santa Monica. Athletes will compete two at a time to deadlift 775 pounds (351 kg) for reps in 60 seconds.
The Arnold Pro Strongman USA Qualifier is part of the Arnold Pro Strongman World Series, and features many of the biggest names in international competition, including Brian Shaw, Jerry Pritchett, Jean-Francois Caron, Rob Kearney, Matjaz Belsak, and 2019 champion and reigning World’s Strongest Man, Martins Licis. Among the challenges on the docket this year are the 400 LB Farmer’s Walk, 775 LB Deadlift for Reps (w/ Rogue Power Bar), 380 LB Slater Log Clean & Press, and two events featuring Rogue’s Strongman Sandbags: the Throw Over Bar (ascending weight) and Sandbag Load (3 bags carried 30’ each).
The overall winner of the event will earn a spot at the 2020 Arnold Strongman Classic, held March 6-7, 2020, in Columbus, Ohio

    stan broniszewski honestly so much carbs it’s crazy. You should look at one of their “what strongmen eat in a day” vids and see just how much carbs haha

    When he attempted 500 kg, I haven't been as scared and excited since Evel Knievel atttempted the jump at Caesar's Palace. Incredible that he pulled it off and lived to tell about it. Now he's a svelte 375 pounder enjoying a well earned celebrity retirement from the show. Cheers, Eddie. Huzzah.

    @@artas9371 I believe he was more concerned about fairness. Calibrated plates would ensure that everyone's weight is as equal as possible

    @@artas9371 ArTas It can actually vary from 2-10% (based on the manufacturer). This could mean a variance of roughly 14 to 72 pounds (on this particular weight). A pretty noticeable difference, in my experience.
