I stopped watching years ago because Discovery over-dramatized everything after about season 10. However, I still like to follow the boats, especially Northwestern and Time Bandit. Sad that Cornelia won't be back, like Northwestern to Sig and Time Bandit to John and Andy, she's a part of a family legacy.

Magic was gone when the derby style season ended.

Edgar Hansen also got in trouble with the law. He got fired from the show, but still works on the Northwestern. They just film around him. However, I don't see that happening with Josh and the Cornelia Marie. It is a lot harder to not film the co-captain of the boat.

So sad that it all ended up like this.

Wow, if what I just read is actually true? Naw man, that's a deal breaker for me personally - a 4 year old girl? That's not something to joke about . and I don't care how fucked up you might get, I've been blasted to infinity in my early days, but aint no way in hell that's an excuse. Cornelia Marie is tending to salmon catch in Alaska it’s homeport is Kodiak I lived there for nine years see that boat all the time

I loved this show when it started, but was too upset by so many disasters. It was so unnerving! I really admire these people who do such dangerous work, but watching it become like going to a hospital and watching a tricky heart operation, I just couldn't relax, I guess I was becoming too invested in the people....

The shows boats actually suffered much less tragedy than the average...but were heavy on dramatizing potential risks w/brief explanations of past tragedies and focusing so much on their personal and family lives (which I can't stand because they then dramatize tbat)

Deadliest Catch cancelled Edgar and now Josh. Look its Crab Fisherman they are gonna be some rough characters. Show has been on the decline for years anyway.

They sit and film on the same 5 boats for 15 yrs straight,extremely predictable and boring plus most of the cast are spoiled pampered rich kids. I remember being dismayed at the crews flagrant backstabbing cutthroat behavior first few seasons then it was revealed how most of them grew up getting anything and everything they ever desired as kids.

In the 19 + years of this show, I've taken only two things away. The Hanson person said on one show "We just dumped 800,000 bucks into this thing (the Northwestern) and we gotta get it out." and on another show said "Work hard, die rich." Thee two statements define the fishing business anywhere. I don't watch the show any more. Too much personal drama and too many people who are really rather unsatisfactory sorts of individuals.

Personally,and this is going to piss off a lot of people,Americans have become so detached from Godly living,that thinking like a convict makes them feel special. Crimes can define you or can be the catalyst for change. This was from 4 decades ago,people can't be defined by an event from 35 yrs ago. My family still judges me by a drug conviction from 3 decades ago. If Americans were that concerned about children, Abortion would be illegal. Yeah Sig was trying to establish a fishing market in Norway. That's probably the other boat that you saw. It's like red and doesn't look exactly like a high liner. Not sure what's going on there and if that's coming later or if it was a lost experiment. I'm only part way through the current season. I save this for heatwaves in the NYC summer! RIP Captain Phil. I'm cheering for your boys to turn things around.❤

It's tropical at some parts of the summer here and going to be in the 90s all week. Remember that they were doing the Norway part sort of as an extended season? There could be a part 2 coming. They're not doing bloodline anymore that I can see. So far everything has been a 1 hour episode instead of a 2 hour with the Deadliest Catch plus the Deadliest Catch Bloodline.

Was watching the 2021 and seeing how greed was more of a priority than safety. So disappointed in Josh & Casey. Casey has really had a bad influence on Josh. And Casey next to the Wizard is one of my least favorite captains.

With hindsight being 20/20, just the fact that Casey was forced upon Josh and us the viewer shows how lacking Josh is in a lot of areas in his life, including being a competent captain and in being a good person and being "must watch" TV. Casey was there to babysit Josh and to make him look good. It worked brilliantly, but I am now done with this fake show.

I stopped watching not long after Phil died and I couldn't stand the Hilstrand brothers.

Phil will always be the Real Capt of Cornelia , never saw Josh as a real Capt , just a guy who sat in the chair and steered the boat and chatted with the camera guy , never once saw him run to the engine room when problems occurred. If Casey wasent on there I’m sure the Cornelia would of capsized at some point.

you obviously haven't read the articles about the manuf. of danger on the part of the TV crew. They want drama all right but faking it can get people killed. handling those lines and heavy weight swinging on the seas is hard enough.

If you Google why the ship dissapeared it says that josh was charged with sexual assault of a minor(4 years old) in 1998 and finally pled guilty and was fired from the show,and that is why the CM is not back

Okay he apparently plead guilty to inappropriately touching a 4 year old child when he was ONLY 14, he was a Minor. Why was his record not expunged by the courts when he turned 18? This is not rape and no where in the charges was that said. He plead guilty served his time. Probably plead guilty to avoid a trial as a lot do even though they did not do anything, but they are scared what will happen if they go to trial. Either way he served his time and this was 25 YEARS AGO. Has he been accused of anymore of the same....NO he hasn't and that's the end of it. I no longer watch Deadliest Catch cause of them kicking the Cornelia Marie off the show for a 25 year old act when he was a 14 year old MINOR.

I think he would have been a minor at the time so records aren't as easy to get - and I suspect the production crew didn't look very hard because so many of the guys have some kind of criminal history.
