I think Ill drop my subscription. I looked at her cute cartoon avatar and Ive been waiting for a Barbie's Dreamhouse Horse Trainer review and walkthrough for years now. And instead she just keeps doing these fringe obscure under the radar titles like some kind of hipster proving how cool and "rare" her taste is. What a misleading woman, she should have just come out and told us long time fans that she is into this horror stuff and not a barbie girl, in a barbie world.

One of the things that I really enjoyed about Isaac in this game is how much the writers incorporated his knowledge as a engineer to solving the problems on the Ishimura. That was true in the original too, but with him being fully voiced it’s interesting to here him work through and come up with solutions to the issues that plague the ship, and it makes him feel like the most important person on this mission because he’s literally the only one who can solve these problems. It just makes him stand out compared to a lot of other video game protagonists where their solution to the conflicts they face in their own games is just to “shoot the gun good”

Perfectly redone story, better combat and exploration, more menacing necro attacks. The remake is nothing but more goodness on the original's legacy. A big connection I noticed to the previous games is in how Isaac makes the crazy decisions. "I gotta enter the ADS trench and recalibrate the cannons in an asteroid rainstorm." "I gotta enter Food Storage and finish off the Leviathan." "I gotta mess with dangerous mining equipment to plant an SOS beacon on an asteroid." It ties directly with the line in DS2 when Isaac has to return to the Ishimura. "Isaac, no! This is a really bad idea!" "Stick around. I'm full of bad ideas."

Honestly, the game now feels a bit closer to System Shock 2 in terms of progression and exploration, thanks to the additions of a fully interconnected Ishimura and the clearance system. The moment I got access to the Ishimura's tram system, it immediately gave me vibes of using the Von Braun's main elevator to get back and forth between each decks to do certain things. Especially when you get the mission relating to look for special RIGs within all sectors of the ship. That's a pretty cool side mission, in my opinion.

That’s literally how I’ve always wanted the contact beam to be!! The only time it’s ever like that is the Dead Space Downfall movie, which I will definitely be watching right before diving into this remake! Awesome video as always ! Edit: I’m gonna wait on my play through of the game, but if I love it as much as I hope I do. I’m completely open to them remaking DS2 and opening up the sprawl. Though I think DS2 is completely timeless, it would just be cool to see how they further improve on what they did here.

High praise and exactly the kind of thing that I want to hear in a review for a game that I am very eager to play. Its fantastic that it manages to surpass its original by taking the opportunity to improve on the game and even add more to it so that you can replay it over and over with a different experience each time. When you make a game with love it shows and clearly these people wanted it to be a proper remake. Would be amazing to see Dead Space 2 get the same treatment. Why do people hate on the Callisto protocol anyway? It was a good little game with a well done story and they didnt force the male and female main characters to be romantic with eachother in any way. Had a a good bittersweet note at the end with how the main character felt about being an unwitting pawn, but still involved, in having caused bad things to happen. A solid B tier game. Nothing wrong with not being the next Hades.

This game looks fantastic and I’m excited to play it when I can find a used copy, but I’m honestly frustrated that so many people will buy it at launch and essentially reward EA for killing Visceral and many other studios. There’s a reason they win “most hated company in America” so often.
