For me, this song is interesting. For me, it just gives off a feeling that, well, you did it. You got away, but there is something else holding you back. You just can't shake the feeling that no matter what you did, you didn't get them all. I cant really explain it, but this song just pulls me towards it in an amazing way. Rest in peace visceral games.

It’s almost been a year since visceral was shut down by E.A Rest In Peace dead space 2 is my favorite game of all time

It’s January 1st 2020 and I’m still jamming to this song

The Violin starts at 5:00minutes :) one of my favorite parts.

+James Halliday That part is simple gorgeous. Anyway I think the sounds come from violins and cellos too.

Dead Space is the best horror series ever in my opinion. It has the best protagonist (I always felt Isaac was such a relatable character), best weapons, scariest enemies, best atmosphere, best gameplay mechanics, best graphics, and an expanded universe via comics and animated movies. That being said, Dead Space 2 was the best out of the trilogy, in my opinion. It was a tough choice, due to how much I love the others in the series, but this one definitely took the cake. Anywho, I can't wait for Dead Space 4 (Though it's still on standby)!

hopefully it's not like dead space 3. it reminded me a lot of silent hill and cod. that's never happened to me in the other games.

Shadow Fox here is how it went. 1 is the scariest. 2 is the most action packed. 3 is 3rd person call of duty.

i don't know why but I want to listen to this while I am floating in water or in space. it is one of those songs that has that feel to it.

My fav game of all time and then they add a badass ending and soundtracks!! Deadspace=BADASS!!

Replaying this game after all these years is still so cool... One of the best games ever.

I love this song so much, I remember after beating the game for the first time...it gave me such a sense of relief, especially after what Isaac went through the ending... this song was so touching...

Once i beat dead space 2 right after the final scene and the credits came i felt so great that i beat this game and this song came on and i fell back on my bed and listened to the whole soundtrack It was awesome

if you're talking about the quartet in this End Credits, it is not JUST a pat of "Canonical Aside" or "Lacrimosa." Actually, it is one part of "Lacrimosa Mvmnts. I, II, III." You can get this 10 mins track in the composer's official webside.

This is the best 3rd person shooter of all time. I completed Hardcore mode earlier this month, it was the most intense gaming experience of my life.

I tried it three times today having died two times at the second chapter and once during the first... And I was planning to make Chapter 5 before I saved. :(

On my first attempt the game bugged in the dark washing machine room in chapter 1! The enemies never came out, so I had to restart! Needless to say it took many attempts. I also failed the eye laser towards the end once and my final save was really early, I think chapter 10. It was where you go to that wide sloping ramp down, with charging screaming mobs inside, so I had a long way to go... but at least I could just practice that part to the end until I got it. So scared of dying when you try get to the ship after the final boss!

Taystesouth Chapter 10 is not "early". The game has only 15 chapters, so you weren't far from the end. Needless to say, it does seem like forever when you're aware that if you make one mistake you have to start again. I think the best way to get through Hardcore is to practice in Zealot mode by trying to get as few deaths until the end as possible.

You're right about that, I had to re-attempt my final save quite a few times too... the way I did it was I played Zealot mode and Hardcore mode together. I played Zealot mode over a period of days to where I wanted to save in hardcore, then immediately I attempted Hardcore to that same save in 1 go. Then I returned to Zealot to the next save, and so on. This way, whenever I played Hardcore mode, the gameplay was much easier than what I was used to, and the game was fresh in my memory. Also the Javelin gun is absolutely insane. The only other weapon you need is the contact beam for the final boss and secondary fire is amazing for tough sections. The detonator is nice for the screamer section with all the boxes for sure though :)

Taystesouth That's a really good tactic, actually. I never thought of that. The weapon that I absolutely loved was the Force Gun. In both the first and the second I used it for crowd control and it's ridiculous how fun it is to use. I used it throughout the entire game and it was very effective at the final boss. I eliminated all the shadows in one shot. My second favourite was the Plasma Rifle. At one point in the game I ended up having half my inventory full of ammo just for it. I used the grenades to blow everything up after I knocked them back with the Force Gun. Definitely a fun past time activity. :P

5:00 the best fucking part. This is just Dead Space 2. This part represents the mental illness Isaac is going through and at the same time represents his struggle to survive another time.

First 3 minutes remebers me 28 days/weeks later. Last 5 are great

Love the violin part.

Only the fact, that DS2 isn't an over of such a beautiful story, stopped me crying at the end of this game. I hope, that they're not going to place similar song in the DS3 credits, otherwise I will die due to sorrow in my heart...

Now i wanna beat it again !!!

This is NOT Fathom by Russian Circles, that was used in a Dead Space 2 trailer. This song hasn't been identified as of yet.

That amnesia game seemed kinda frightening o.o and i agree with you on silent hill i mean those are amazing and resident evil 1-3 are somewhat in the scary section yeah but 4? nahh and deadspace i can consider one of the frightening ones next to silent hill.

@Kailol89 This is ambient post-rock. I love this stuff. Some other good post-rock bands would be ISIS, Mogwai, Russian Circles, Pelican, and Red Sparrowes, just to name a few. I'd really love to find who did this song in particular though.

I AM A DEAD SPACE FREAK, seen the movies played both games, right now on dead space 2 im runnin around the sprawl on zealot round 5 with 50 nodes

According to the lead writer for all 3 games, he still has a specific vision of what Dead Space 4 would be. He also says that ***SPOILERS*** Isaac would have stopped the Necromorph apocalypse seen at the end of Dead Space 3 in Dead Space 4. He also said that Dead Space 4 would be much more non-linnear and feature more exploration and more in depth repairing mechanics.
