13 year old me walked into gamestop with the little bit of pocket money I had saved up, didn't have any particular game in mind. After watching me look around for probably 30 minutes a guy who worked there named joey came over and asked did I need any help, I told him I wanted a new game but couldn't decide, he asked had I ever played assasins creed, I hadn't, and I had never heard of it at the time. He grabbed the box for assasins creed 2 off the shelf and handed it to me and said "this is the game you want". The game had only come out a few days before. I bought the game, got home and fell in love with it, to this day it's in my top 3 games ever, thanks joey.

After 10 years of talking about it, my brother and I finally made our pilgrimage to Florence. We played this theme when we saw the Firenze road sign, then when we went to the Palace of the Medici Lords and of course, again atop the Duomo's Bell Tower. We did a detour into Monterriggioni. "It's a good life we lead, brother." Best trip of my life. Thank you Ezio, we love you:)

I love how this theme was so good that it basically became the theme for the entire franchise. And it works, because the Assassins are indeed Ezio’s family.

It was a sad day to me, failed again in life, feel ashamed of everyone around me…. Somehow had no hope. I was 17 and no plan for my life, even school was a burden too. One night my uncle shows up, here he comes with a game, I ask about it, he says nothing and asks me to play it, only thing he said was that there is a young man called Ezio, he has no plan just like you. I played the game, I fell in love with it, a spark of hope was found in me. The next morning I told my uncle that I madly loved the game and he said: welcome to the Brotherhood!

Actually while I was playing I was reading all biography on characters. Also learned about that age outside of game. When time came and my professor was questioning me for final grade we stumbled into this age . She couldn't believe there's game that made me learn history. It was surprising for her because usually people shit all over games for making kids stupid. This one is exemption.

I cannot explain the level of nostalgia hearing this. my childhood encapsulated perfectly in this track. the long days and nights ten/twelve years ago playing this video game none stop trying to escape the chaos of my family and upbringing. I'd shut myself away in my room and complete this game, over and over. I'd always make sure I unlocked Altair's robes. I was so obsessed and Listening to this at 23 years ago remind me of the preciousness in life, in the smallest of things. some people claim video games are bad. well this one was such a huge part of my childhood and I'll forever be grateful for it. Gonna have to replay again.

@@chickencooler5585 I'm 14 too. I remember I played this game when I was 5-6 years old. But I can't remember much. But Revelations, it was beautiful. I'm Turkish and game takes place in Istanbul, people use Turkish word very often, it was awesome. I played AC2 a few months ago and i finished the story, now it's my favorite AC game too. Also game taught me minor Italian too.

Everytime I hear this, it makes me think way back when Ezio was born and then lived a happy childhood and later got everything taken from him. This made him seek revenge by being an assassin. However, as he grew and matured, he learned that revenge wasn't everything and fought for the greater cause. He sought knowledge and lived a nice peaceful life in the end with his family. Ezio Auditore da Firenze, you're not a real person but you have inspired many of us to learn and fight for ourselves. Requeiscat de pace, fratello mio

This game holds a special place in my heart. I was shopping as a child with my family, when I saw it on the shelves of a department store we were visiting often. I played PoP games before that, and I only saw this game very briefly, I couldn't say it was a different game at the time, but oh boy... At that time my PC couldn't run it, and I've waited 2 or so years before I could play it finally... I don't know if anyone could relate, but standing to not watch any playthroughs for so long... had the same experience with AC: Unity, for about 4 years... What I wouldn't give to have that same feeling after launching it for the first time...

I cant believe there's still people returning to this masterpiece, all my respects for them.

Whoever has played early AC games will never ever forget this sound.Hats off the best soundtrack to date. It has feelings, chills, hope, sadness, joy everything. I still remember playing AC-2/AC-B/AC-R - walking in the streets at night and this music plays - I just couldn't concentrate at all in the game. Truly the signature sound of AC

Just played ac 2 like a week ago, this is a hard hitter in the ac franchise. Amazing soundtrack, preps to 2009 Ubisoft sound team.
