I’m sorry to say this but Atreyu died when Alex left the band. This song represents what Atreyu was supposed to evolve into but unfortunately they went a different route.

Atreyu was already long gone even when Alex was still in the band. Long Live was an amazing return to form though

It’s very clear who was the writing force behind classic Atreyu. Glad we got Alex back making music, metalcore has been missing his voice.

Atreyu was the first metalcore band I got into at the age of 13, Im 30 now. When Alex left, I knew my time with Atreyu was done. I haven't looked back. This single brought a smile to my face, gives us more Alex 🤘

I was in grade 6 i think, my cousin lent me all his atreyu cds when i went to a pow wow on Manitoulin island, the whole way there , during and back! I listened to atreyu! Such a good memory for me! ❤️ Love your music alex! Even your comic book page and art page!

This is my journey with atreyu man. Absolute favorite band for almost 20 years, and Alex was the heart and soul of atreyu. Hearing new stuff from him brought me back and I love it

I was 12 when Suicide Notes & Butterfly Kisses released and graced my ears, hearing those unique mid-high growls was a punch of nostalgia that made me so happy. I love the familiarity that Alex wove into this for us while spreading his wings to do what he was kept from doing for so long ♥️

After that I lost the connection even if Alex still was featured on "In our wake". This song here brings back the old vibe I was missing with the latest Atreyu releases. So yeah...for me Atreyu is dead...even though the old stuff still kicks ass

It would definitely bring back the old atreyu sound and it would feel like an old atreyu song just like this one feels like the old atreyu. Now I followed the whole OC scene back in the day and atreyu had a special place in me like 18v did but I seen atreyu live soooo many times and the fall off was just terrible to see and now to compare one with the other is like apples to oranges.
