After watching your video, I felt confident the issue with the EGO snow thrower was the fuse block you described. I purchased the fuse block (still $100 ). I tested the new fuse block and had the continuity across the connectors. I reinstalled the fuse block and was encouraged when I pressed the light switch, and the lights came on. As soon as I hit the start button and the squeezed the bale bar. I heard a small click, and the power went dead. I pulled the circuit board back out and there was no continuity across the indicated connection points. I had moved the auger manually when I first acquired the machine, and it was, and is moving freely, the same as the drive wheels. Whatever is causing the short, it's not easily identifiable. I got the machine for free and put the $100 into it, so that is as much as I will spend. I just wanted to add to this conversation for others who come across this issue. I may try and outboard fuse solution, but the new board is protected more than the original.

Get it serviced by a certified dealer to get the board or what caused the control board to fail. DO BOT do the part 2 of what he says fixes it in the next video. I cant believe someone would upload the part 2 video of repairing the control board without knowing what caused the safety links to blow up on it. Want to get hurt, or burn the unit up or your garage/home.....then go right ahead. If they send you a whole new blower unit.....its obvious there is a defect in these units the manufacturer is covering up and trying to address.

Great video! Thank you so much. Very helpful including Part 2. Can you tell me if the replacement module you received is different from the original? It looks like it is, but I guess what I’m wondering is if I replace the component, do the new boards resolve the issue that caused the originals to fail?

great video. I've removed all the screws but cannot get the main compartment to lift out, any suggestions or did you have trouble removing it?

Mine suddenly became unresponsive during some heavy wet snow. Thought swapping this part might have done the trick, but sadly...it still doesn't seem to get any power to the controls.

BTW I have a triple car driveway and can clear it 4 times before charging ( 3-6 inch snow)

Now this is the same kinda thing a customer of mine is having but the battery lights come on when you hit the power button. No lights, no heated handles, nothing. Just the battery lights.

Thanks, my snow blower lost all power. After many of min on the phone with ego, they wanted my proof of purchase, no idea where that is, for warranty work. But does it matter when there’s no service for ego in Oregon? I’ll buy and fix myself. Thanks again, this was exactly what I needed.

My snt2100 stopped working suddenly when the auger jammed. It would not turn on again. I found your video and ordered the part from ereplacements parts. It took ages to come. Snow is over here. I installed it today. Unfortunately mine fault must be another part. Now I'm confused about what it might be next. My unit is out of warranty, debating whether to put more into it. I do have a good Toro 4 stroke. The batteries will not go to waste as I have the mower too, as well as their 400 watt inverter, real handy when power is out. Any ideas guys?

Attractive outer design, but seems like a very lightweight design when it comes to the electronics

Wouldn't it be better to have a fuse between the motor and the Main PCBA? Just curious here. Both my Main PCBA and BMS PCBA are bad and if I replace them I figured it would be better to add a fuse/fuses elsewhere instead of taking apart the BMS PCBA that has the JHC fuses just to add different ones.

Did the batteries come with it for $30?!? Because they’re worth more than the tool itself.

Thanks for posting. My snowblower stopped working after a heavy snow while clearing the pile of heavy/ dense snow left by the snowplow. It was dead. No lights, nothing. I did exactly this. The lights turned on for a few seconds (I was patting myself on the back) but they almost immediately went dead again. Nothing. Thoughts?

I experienced the exact same situation. Replaced the board and the lights worked. As soon as tried the handle for the actual blower, everything died.

@@frederiktheriault7924 my update is that I went to the store to replace my snowblower and learned that mine was still under warranty. I just had to register it. So I quickly removed the aftermarket part, put the original back in (so as not to void the warranty), registered my snowblower and kept my mouth shut. I just got it back in working order. I’m not sure what the issue was or what was done since the repair guy was gone and the person at the register was fairly clueless.

I tried this fix, but unfortunately it didn't work. After I replaced the part I tried turning on the lights. They flickered and then once again I had no power going to the machine.

Sometimes you have to replace both boards which is what I finally did on mine
