It can block an explosion and even an attack above you, 1 hour is fair enough bro:)

Armadillopack + Rampart shield, my beloved. Fr though, even when I’m not going survival builds, I still always slap on Armadillopack because it’s just so damn useful. Parry all the stupid martyrdom bombs from the wyrms AND I get I-frames when I roll through a normal attack? Yessir

Thank you so so much for the support and for your recent comments. It's nice to hear from another creator! The life stuff that I've had going on is thankfully wrapping up soon so I'll hopefully have more time and energy over the coming months to have a more consistent release and production schedule. I just enjoy doing this in general so I am also selfishly glad I'll have some more space to work. I'm planning out my upcoming video list and have some room in there - be in touch if you have any suggestions on topics or ideas you'd like me to cover.

It's nice to hear that you've been enjoying the videos and commentary! Somebody once told me that I sound like a more chill version of the guy who does the voices for Archer and Bob's Burgers. Maybe that's it?

I think a colorless tierlist would be cool. Shoutout to war javlin being secretly a good survival weapon paired w/ heavier weapons like oven axe.

I love your explanations of the different shields but I think you should have some gameplay of the shield you are talking about in the background so the people watching can visually see what each shield does.

Thank you for the feedback! The tier lists are generally more like podcasts that I record and screengrab live so I don't really add footage to them, but I hear what you're saying. My shields guide has some gameplay and more explanation but it may not have what you're looking for.

With the assault shield in the game, it's hard for me to justify using anything else. They're basically only for the days when I want to handicap myself for some extra challenge or variety.

I like how spiked shield is just a knockback shield with a spike slapped on

I feel like the front line shield could have had more opportunity. Imagine it like a tower shield from wakanda, you can only hold it up for the damage reduction, but it’s a toggle and you can use your primary weapon while holding it up. It’d be great for fights where you don’t wanna bother trying to fight, like the scarecrow. Could pair nicely with slow ass weapons. I really wish there were more weapon combos like the Alucard set, it’d make things more interesting. Like weapons that always synergize having a special attack or animation that combines the two could be real cool.

I usually use either spiked shield for the damage or the thunder shield for the same reason and stun shield in rare cases

Excellent question! I feel like I need to break it down into two pieces: getting blueprints, and then unlocking them. When getting blueprints I feel like it's most efficient to take the Hunters Grenade to get the furthest blueprint possible so that way you can get the late-game blueprints out of the way (thinking High Peak Castle, Cavern, Distillery, etc.). The Hunter's Mirror can help identify what you're missing. Enemies will have an icon above their heads if they have a blueprint so you can use this visual queue to know what enemies along the way can drop a blueprint, so you can rush through levels only killing those and hoping for an additional drop. For example - if I'm missing the Tornado blueprint I'll take the Hunter's Grenade all the way to the Castle to get it but will kill every enemy I see along the way if they have the blueprint icon to try to maximize the RNG of getting more unlocks. By avoiding enemies that don't have that icon I'm saving time. For unlocking blueprints I generally just save cells as I play to get the "normal" stuff (100 cells or less). You can also use assist mode and/or boss rush to get cells quickly. Boss rush also works if you're trying to get your Forge maxed out, too. I have a video on farming cells that I'll put below. I also have a checklist you can use to keep track of what you need; between this, the Hunter's Mirror, and the Wiki you should be on your way. Great video, but IMO Cocoon should have been in this video for completeness, even though it's technically not a shield.

You know, I struggled with this thought before I made the video. I was thinking of putting Iron Staff in even though I already did a melee tier list and adding Cocoon, but I decided to keep them in their separate sections since they're not technically a shield. Cocoon will be part of the skills tier list I'm going to do so will make a note to refer back to this video and your comment when I talk about it. Thanks for the feedback!

My personal tierlist: I rank these based on my gameplay where I love parry rather than blocking. Bloodthirsty Shield: A (The blood splash is very good to kill mobs on other platform or applies bleed status) Cudgel: A+ (Stun status is OP) Ice Shield: C- (I don't like freeze status cuz it's very weak and the slow status is really annoying) Force Shield: D Old Wooden Shield: D Greed Shield: C (I wanna put this on D, but cuz this thing give you gold, I put it on C) Knockback Shield : A- (Good for one-handed ranged weapons) Parry Shield: A+ (Time Keeper worst Nightmare) Spiked Shield: A (Scarecrow: I hate you) Rampart: SSS (Bubble shield is OP) Frontline Shield: A+ (I like the damage boost) Assault Shield: F (this thing have bad parry timing and not worth for parrying multiple projectile like Time Keeper ninja stars attack, but for speedrunning is very good) Alucard's Shield: A- (for the peformance, this thing have bad parry timing. So I give it B. I put it on A- cuz you can pair it with the Alucard's sword which you can trigger the shield crit without parrying, you just need 1 swing on the sword, then full attacks on the shield) Thunder Shield: S (Better version of Bloodthirsty Shield) Punishment: SS (The splash effect is OP and is very good agains Spoiler Boss and mobs)

Thanks for the comment! It was cool reading these and hearing a different perspective. Great point about Assault Shield and the Timekeeper - I think it's impossible to parry all the ninja stars with it. Bubble shield definitely OP.
