It would be an actually good idea for you to maybe showcase the alucard's shield considering it is one of the most diverse weapons(especially shield) out there. It also has a unique synergy with alucard's sword. Might be an interesting video.

If you want to do a weapon showcase with the new cross weapon you can use it with the boomerang to have a double-boomerang build.

Did you know that there actually is a special death screen if you have any of the castlvania costumes, its pretty cool!

I love it when a 10 foot tall, buff, sexy vampire man absolutely destroys me.

Whip Sword plays and feels like Bloodborne, I love the mid attack switch.

The visuals are the most gorgeous theyve ever been. Wouldve liked three biomes for the price, but its Dead Cells, so worth it anyway.

I picked this game after binging through the netflix Castlevania series. I bought the base game along with the Castlevania DLC (I didn't bought Fatal Falls or the Queen DLC) but I don't know what I'm doing. For the last two weeks I finally managed to get to the Clock Tower, and that's it 😂 I scared to touch the Castle Outskirts again since I ran into an Elite Harpy and my character got melted really hard... I wish to get better and defeat Dracula and pay a homage to this brilliant franchise. That's all 😅

should you buy? TLDR - YES ; like obvs if you like/luv DC you know you're gonna like/luv this , we've come full circle =]

I have been a loyal Castlevania fan since the first entry and have bought every game! I bought this dlc and it's solid as hell I'd love to see them make a entry into the series I believe it will be solid but konami wouldn't let it happen :(

Just pirated it a few hours ago, but I purchased on the Xbox and steam, worth it!

So I beat main content of the DLC today, in 2 different runs obviously. And what I can tell is that either the new weapons are OP as hell or you are NOT supposed to run it on 0 BC, because both Death and the last boss were incredibly quick to beat even without knowing what they are going to do. Side note, THE LEGENDARY AFFIX FOR DEATHS SCYTH IS INSANE!! Normally you only get a ghost when you kill something with the scythe yourself, but in this case you have an endless stream of homing ghost missiles with almost 0 effort, just need to be quick enough running through the area. Can only imagine that it would be even more insane on high BC runs due to the higher number of enemies in close proximity to each other and their increased health pools which increases their damage as a ghost.

Also you missed a lore room just before the Dracula fight, in the corridor leading up to it there is a mark on the wall which is actually an invisible slope. Up the top you can get 2 outfits, at the least first time don't know about subsequent visits.

The whip sword is weird isn't it? I didn't understand its description at all, what do they mean by between two attacks? But I found out you can just attack once and then cancel that attack into a long range massive crit immediately and repeat that forever. The weapon puts out so much damage it feels broken.

i wouldve paid 9.99 just to have this castlevania soundtrack in dead cells while im playing because its just that good. the fact that it comes with a dlc is just a bonus.

damn i already played through the dlc thinking that i got everything, but i missed both alu's sword and the cat. oh well back to it lol

Do the enemies have different attack patterns not just copy and paste old enemies?

Yeah, he showed up and just merced that old man in one run. "You can keep your gold..." Dead Cells did Dracula right.

I mean, you should also pick it up because it gives you a cat. Yes, you can pet the cat. And if you have the Seranade from the Fatal Falls DLC, instead of killing the kitty, the kitty STRIKES BACK, SHOWING THE TSUNDERE SWORD WHO'S BOSS!

The white one? I only played it once, last night, and was a bit irritated if something small, white attacks me or not. I thought it's a dog. But a cat makes more sense. Can't wait to really play it after work today.

Yes, that's Maria's cat and like stated in the video, you catch it did a key to Maria's room which gives you her outfit, and, once you pet it, it will join you as a summon skill

I have you a good weapon’s like the bat m (from the colab) and a throwing knife (from the colab) and sadly I don’t remember the name of the knife but ima play the game and tell you found it is the throwable object there (bad spelling not American only Puerto Rican)

Why can't I access any of this. I have gamepass. I did the dlc DL. And ived died n died and can't access the Castlevania parts via prisoner quarter, Why????? I'm growing extremely frustrated 😔

Cursed chest give you more scrolls, he's really good so he can deal with the curse. If you can't deal with it then cheat like me and use dammed, which that guy in the bottom room at the start gives you.

@@lulyanh11 not entirely certain what you mean by that, but the second phase takes place immediately after the first. You have a bit of time to pick up rewards and then you just get dumped right on in.

there's a room in the starting area before prisoner's quarters where you can change them. It'll have a bunch of hanging jars with your unlocked outfits displayed in them like the jars that display your weapons

There are a lot of rooms after you pick up the 2000 Gold BEFORE you start getting weapons. One is the taylor.

Hey don't fret its really not that much work if you've played dead cells 👌if you haven't, just approach it with an open mind- if you like Castlevania you'll probably like dead cells anyhow

That's very lame how you have to commit to this path from the start and not stray away from it and then come back

If you are into dead cells, then its a yes. If you are just getting into dead cells then its recommended to hold off a little.

This was alright but not worth the price of admission. The overall price of Dead Cells is also adding up, it's like double the price of Hades.

i have mixed feelings about this dlc. I have more than 1000 hours on this game (to be honest, im kinda burned out of dead cells lately) and when i realized we could enter dracula's castle right after the first biome i was excited . But then a few things bummed out right away. first, there are enemies that were just reskinned. i thought every enemy would be new, and they do this right away, feels bad because they talked so much how they loved castlevania... Why not create new enemies instead? But that is a minor issue, the big one comes next: YOU CAN ONLY GO THROUGH THE DLC ONCE EACH RUN! why???? why can i enter the castle from the prison quarters, go through 2 new biomes castlevania themed, then go to clock tower and enter the castle again? i can only face the final boss if i DON'T enter the castle in the beginning of the run. IT makes no sense! i saw some weapons and liked them very much. thats the highest point of the dlc, but the breath of fresh air that i needed was interrupted by this decision. I dont want to go through a normal run of dead cells just so i can get one dlc biome at the end. I wanna fight the 3 new bosses in one run. Im still not believing they did this. Completely takes out of the experience.

I absolutely agree here. $10 is double the price of the other DLCs, while adding mayble only 20% extra content. Many things feel quickly completed to meet a deadline (Fighting Medusa twice, reskins, the odd "Once per run rule"). Out of all the DLCs, I'd probably purchase this one last. THAT SAID - If I evaluate Return to Castlevania in a vacuum, not considering the other DLCs that came before it, I'd say it's really good! It adds a lot of neat weapons and some really cool boss fights. The main killer for it is that it's directly compared to other DLCs that cost half, and add almost as much.

Honestly, the only enemies I found that felt like reskins were the spear soldiers and the typical bats. Though I did find it interesting that one enemy ONLY showed up in Richter Mode.

idk why but i laughed so hard when i read that. im used to seeing AAA's work like shit on release but the dlc of an indie game has to be the first lol
