Sometimes I feel like I want to live Far from the metropolis Just walk through that door Sometimes I feel like I want to fly Reach out to the painted sky A prisoner to the wind A bird on the wing Sometimes I feel the ocean in my blood See rain from the sky above Her salt brine tears And now Those tears leave a taste on my tongue Like the warm rush you get from Black opium Black opium Sometimes I feel like I want to leave Behind all these memories And walk through that door Outside The black night calls my name But all roads look the same They lead nowhere They lead nowhere

This is super personal but I would like to where it with you. Most people may think this kind of music is “weird”, but for me, it was the begin of my recovery after being in a psychiatric hospital for almost a month. The first time that I listened to their music, it was a completely and inmediate healing for my soul. Since 2002, I’ve never stopped to listen this beautiful music.

I was turned on to them circa '88-'89 &1st had the great good fortune to see them live in '91. Saw them 3 more times, including once at 1 of my favorite venues, the Hollywood Bowl. I missed the 2nd Come back tour, anastasis a few years ago but I saw them every tour they were in the LA area before that since 91 I believe, they are amazing live, just absolutely incredible, Lisa and Brendan bring the greatest musicians from around the world to play with them when they tour☯️☪️✝️☸️✡️🕉️📚🤔☮️🌎♥️💟😻🛐👂👂
Gives me goosebumps and tears everytime I'm listening this song ❤️

@@markuswall4791 yes! last time I listened to Opium, was in a summer night at dark deserts. I can say the dark ambiguity and mysterious coldness and beauty in this song, always haunt and hypnotize the souls. Doesn't matter when and where.it always has that power...

Wauh, so long I didn't listen anything from Dead Can Dance. They are from out of earth, just wonderful

One of my favorite DCD track ever.
(This is my blood). I feel the ocean in my blood. (I am this ocean).. "Whose tears leave a taste on my tongue, like the warm rush you get from, black opium, black opium. My true love. DCD.
