Thanks, demonofdeath19! 👊😀 Yeah... getting closer day-by-day. It's pretty exciting. Right now I am trying to stay consistent with my publishing schedule, I am working on leveling up my content to make it more helpful and interesting (hopefully a little entertaining, too), and I'm experimenting with my thumbnails. Hopefully all of that will get me to 2000 and beyond. But even if it doesn't, that's OK. I'm having a lot of fun doing all of this, learning a ton, and improving my health and fitness! I think that's the most important part, and the part that might ultimately determine success or failure here on the KZread. I'm still waiting on your podcast, btw! (no pressure!) 😇

Best advise out there, just keep hanging around! I got twig arms but I went from sub-10 seconds (let's be real, I got twig arms and +15lbs covid belly, I barely could make 5 seconds), to now consistently full minute hangs. The secret? Nothing, just keep doing it. I work from home and every once in a while I would hang maybe just 5 seconds then grab a coffee. Maybe just 1 second to stretch from my seat then go back to work. Did that every day, little by little.

Hi, FitStem! Thanks so much for your comment and support! 👊😀 Yeah, doing my best to level up not only my body, but also my content. This was my 60th video, and looking back on my first few videos now is painful to see, LOL. Hopefully, with continually better, more helpful content, the views will continue to come. And if not, that's OK, too! I really enjoy doing all this stuff and having fun with health and fitness while learning cool things about video making and graphic design. Just checked out your channel, too! I LOVE your channel goal! "Our Fitness System is to train people not just their body but also their mind. Our goal is to make fitness sustainable to everyone so that they won't quit and give up." I couldn't agree more. The mind is where people decide to be healthy and fit. The mind needs training and support, too... not only the body. Combining both can be powerful! I look forward to seeing your future content, too! Best of luck to you 💪😀

It's funny, but comments that compliment my video editing skills are somehow MORE MEANINGFUL to me that any comment about my body, my transformation progress, or my ability to motivate and inspire... LOL. My best advice to get better at editing is... make 59 horrible videos like I did, and then MAYBE the 60th will be OK! LOL. Lots of trial and error, lots of KZread tutorials on how to use my free video editor (VSDC Free Video Editor, btw), lots of experimentation, and LOTS of time sitting in front of my laptop just playing with it. Watching other videos and getting (stealing?!?) ideas from other KZreadrs was also a great source of inspiration. I'm still not at the point that I can make videos the way that I WANT to make them, but each video shows improvement. Hopefully I can continue to improve with each video! 😀👍 Best of luck in your video editing journey!

Awesome! You also mentioned to me in our interview that for the muscle up, a 60 second hang and being able to do at least 10 good-quality pullups is a prerequisite. Well... CHECK on the dead arm hang, and I'm still making progress on the pullups. 💪😀👍

Wow, tripled your time. I tried the dead hand for the first time 3 weeks ago and got 80 seconds. I workout regularly so that helped my starting time. But I've been doing dead hangs until failure every other day and now I'm up to 109 seconds (+36%). Trying to reach 2 minutes. So close!

Nice! That was more then I knew the hanging can do. I do alot of scapula(i think its called) movements when i hang as well. A strong scapula is important for calistehnics as example.

Sweet! Glad my research was able to give you a few extra pointers on hanging. 😇 After my pushup injury, I'm really trying to bring up my weak points to help avoid injury again moving forward. Hanging, and all this scapula work, has been a really great addition to my regular training, and surprisingly fun!

Hi, again, WarriYahTruth! 👊😀 Ouch... sounds rough. I wrote a little more about rotator cuff in my other comment to you. Additionally, it can take the body some time to adapt to new training. How is your rotator cuff now? Are you still hanging? I don't know your specific training practices, but perhaps starting more slowly and gradually building up your tolerance over a longer period of time might be a good approach. Let me know, and I will do my best to help.

Hi, WarriYahTruth! 👋😀 Great question. No, I did not hang every day. I did it every 4 days as part of a pull up training program by ATHLEAN-X. There is a link to that training program in the description of this video. As far as not getting sore, my rotator cuff was totally fine, but I did feel some soreness in my right forearm/elbow because of all of the hanging and pulling training. That quickly got better with a little rest. Also, as far as the rotator cuff goes, there are two ways to hang that I know of, active and passive hanging. Maybe take a video of yourself to see what your form looks like and compart that to some other videos here on KZread. I hope this helps, and best of luck with your hanging!
