Definitely my favorite (non-all stars) Precure movie of all time. It was beautiful and the action was great

This movie was really good, though that clarinet scene still gets me every time. Yay, up next is Happiness Charge! This series.. had some issues to say the least. I am looking forward into hearing your thoughts

For some, those aspects is what makes it unique, and draw it to them in a good way, kind of like with half of heartcatch

This movie had some wild plot-twists and that song that plays when Mana falls in tears is one of my favorites. It made me feel a bit less hate for Mana but I think this movie really hit hard Aguri in the face with no much screentime because...5 minutes cool down?

You do know that hiding sharp objects from Rikka can be interpreted both ways, right?

This movie made me wish the memory world was real. I honestly wouldn't mind being trapped in it if I could see my grandfather and cats again.

When a clarinet is the big bad and it doesnt appear until the last 10 min of the movie... And the whole movie doesnt even have a plot about Manas marriage. Abit misleading eh?

It would have been Funnier if THAT Clarinet is from Major Land, & the Leftover Noise Powers is in it.

Finally able to watch this, and today is really a bad day for me. First and foremost, I really love this movie. Now I don't like the stupid 4th wall breaking (no matter how serious Aguri is at that scene, it is still bad), the sudden emerge of the evil clarinet, the Miracle Lights, and the time travel story (seriously Toei DO NOT make good time travel stories, just so you know, Hugtto is NOT a good time travel story). But even with all this, I really love this movie. This movie is something I really like cause it is very emotional with the characters you know and love, the fight scenes are really good, and even the movie exclusive power up is awesome looking, even though it is used to kill off a villain that came out of nowhere. Then there are things that we don't see in any future Precure movies, sometimes never, such as: - The villains get killed off, haven't seen that for quite a while. - BLOOD! I can't stress this enough, this is the most surprising and memorable scene in the movie FOR A REASON. I also think Mana's plot could've been in the actual TV series, but I am still glad for what the TV series is. It is such a shame that for anything that could came out of this movie, it is NOT the awesome fight scenes, NOT the story of overcoming the experience of death of a close one, NOT even BLOOD! NO, it is of course the stupid 4th wall breaking, and the stupid time travel story. Thanks for the review, and looking forward to the Happiness Charge review, one of the worst Precure series I watched. And it also came out after what I consider the BEST Precure series of all time.

They are done playing around, guys! Now, the movie is dark enough to scar the kids for the rest of their lives.

*seeing the reupload* oooooh... Personally, when I watched this movie the first time, I was downright mad. I was expecting it to be “Who’s Mana’s husband?” in terms of the story of this movie, but then they make a complete swerve and referred to something else entirely. What I didn’t know until now is that “something else” was actually a really important lesson to know: accepting the death of a love one. Yes, we can’t live forever...even if we wanted to...but that’s life. That’s just how it goes. Sure, losing someone is very painful, but they’ll always be in our memories, all the happy moments they share together, and continue on living for their sake...at least that’s what I learned when watching this review. It’s surprisingly good, on par with the MTP movie, if not but one BIG flaw: The “big bad” of the movie: the clarinet itself. Like really...where did it come from? What’s its purpose? Why targeting Mana in particular? Why not the other 4? There’s just so many unanswered questions with this guy and even that...I mean COME ON! Just look at this thing. How is THIS “threatening”? *pointing at the clarinet* Seriously... =___= But then with all that said, let me comment about the blood scene...personally yes. Yes it was really shocking...it’s just too bad that they didn’t go forward with that idea soon after. I mean these girls have been through harsh beat downs, you would think they have broken bones or bleeding out from those hits like a MMA fight or something but no...it’s just here...from a dog bite. It’s weird isn’t it? ^^;

Another minor complaint besides the dumb clarinet being the “villain” is the wasted potential of Heart’s Engage Mode. They could’ve gone in this scenario: After Heart transformed into her Engage Mode (even though she’s a minor XD), instead of an immediate one shot kill, those bouquet of roses she held becomes a beam of magical light, in a shape of her “husband” by her side. As the clarinet gets “mad” and unleashed his gears to attacked them, they just waltz about and dance, dodging those gears with ease while the remaining 4 watched in amazement. While they dance, Heart saw the spirit of her late grandma and Mallow, smiling and giving her support through the power of love. Said power of love turned to magical roses that when burst out, shoots beams at all of the gears, making the clarinet completely defenseless. Heart thanks both of them and both smiled and nodded before they disappeared into a ball of light and went back to the husband. The clarinet goes into a “I’m an immortal. U can’t kill me” speech before unleashing his final attack on them. All 4 screamed “Cure Heart” in despair as she gets “hit” by the beam...only to be deflected by her “husband”. When the bell rings, Heart says thank you to him and kissed him, becoming her bow and says “nevertheless, I will defeat you! From me to you...!” aiming her arrow of light to him “...My Sweet Everlasting Heart!” When she says that, she winks and shoots, ending on an epic note

@@curepanda2646 Not a bad rework scene you have for the final battle in the movie, I like it. I also think the blood scene should have carried over to future Precure movies, but alas, what do we get carried over? Stupid 4th wall breaking and stupid time travel story. In fact I would say watching Precure is like watching the transition from Showa era Ultraman/Kamen Rider to Heisei era. If you compare them side by side, they are like night and day, and I don't mean the visual qualities. I mean how brutal and gruesome some of the fights are, compare to the modern Heisei era where most of the fights are children show in comparison, and I was a kid watching the Showa era shows, and I still think it is awesome.

As kids, we love brutal combat AND a good story; as teens and adults, seeing those moments gradually toned down into nothing more but one hits and a whole lot of flandering...its a huge shame... ...Also im not a Kamen Rider fan. I dont get the reference ^^; As for the "villain" of this movie, if i would choose between him and Miden of Hugtto, hands down Miden. Sure hes basically a torn up camera but at least he has a better presence of being the "villain"...just the tragic kind. Plus, his skills are more AWESOME than this cog. Even Squidward would even reject this thing =^=

@@curepanda2646 To me, I don't really want to compare Miden with the Clarinet, both have a different sense of presence, screen time and development. I would compare Marsh and Miden however, and I easily choose Marsh over Miden anytime. For the Kamen Rider/Ultraman reference, imagine this. In the Showa era, they have no problem showing a character deaths, brutal and gruesome fight scenes that involves decapitation and occasionally blood spilling. Compare to the Heisei era, there is really hardly any blood or decapitation.

Re-uploaded? Aw man! That being said I really enjoyed this movie. Easily one of the stronger ones next to the Yes films which I feel are incredibly fun. Scariest scenes also happen to be in the Yes show with the masks. Nothing is beating that out for me. That being said, HC is next. I'll gladly await the review. It's not that there was nothing decent about it, but ignoring it's flaws won't help much of anything. Especially since other seasons have done way better. Overall looking forward to it!

I really wish you didn’t remind me about Pokémon’s Sword and Shield’s half-assed Pokedex. Still dumbfounded by the terrible excuses for it. Anyway, tbh, I don’t remember this movie a lot either. The only thing I can recall is the infamous blood scene, why we should be even more afraid of Squidward’s instrument, and an unnecessary transformation. Thank you for reviewing it and I have to say that the movie did surprise me (In a good way) and I finally understood why it has a few fans. It’s an admittedly solid Precure film, but I’m not really sure about calling it the strongest in the franchise. It’s probably just me but Heartcatch, Smile, and Maho still are the best solo films in the series. But enough of that, it’s Happiness Charge Precure’s turn and I can’t wait for you to rip that season a new one because I know it’s going to be fun. XD

@HadeaRin IKR? Granted, Toei is no stranger to sentient objects but it’s really funny and ridiculous when you say out loud that a talking clarinet is threatening the marriage of a 14 year old. XD @Leonardo Farias I know the reason for it but it’s still stupid since multiple videos have show the models and animations for the game are literally ripped from the 3DS. @neptuniafan No worries, I actually figure you would and I understand why thanks to this review. It’s just....I think the third act and everything else I stated is too bizarre. XD Plus, I’m abit more attached to the other movies I mentioned.

Like, the only thing I managed to remember about this movie without prior memory jog is going like this, for some reason Mana is going to marry and an Evil Clarinet doesn't have any of it so it goes to mess it all up. I almost jokingly summarize it as that the Clarinet wanted to enter Mana's harem but got rejected so it got salty and throw some tantrum for 90 minutes.

Ah Happiness Charge...I worry that you'll rip it to shreds. I rewatched it this time last year and actually really liked it the second time time around. It definitely has flaws but I think people need to give it another chance. It's by no means perfect. But it's not as awful or messy like so many people like to say it is. Heck, I was one of those people but after rewatching it, I stopped thinking that XD That said, I am interested to hear what you have to say about it, negative or not!

Yeah it really wasn't as bad as people said it to be. It is indeed a stale series and they needed to rewrite some part to enhance the impact of it, especially for their heroine. But as much as story composition goes, HapCha is coherent series that doesn't pull some weird twist that is literally out of nowhere. It is just that series that doesn't reach its full potential for some reason.

Yeah it's a Mix-Bag for me really, Some of the Controversies it had like the International PreCures, Watch Anime America's To ten Anime Controversies list for the reason why, Cure Fortune not wanting to Join the Group for her own Reasons why involving Cure Princess, Not utilizing possible Ideas into the series like having Cure Tender be a fifth member of the team. And some theories of possible Studio Interference, With my belief that it wasn't gonna become HapCha to begin with, Since back in 2014 The season celebrates the franchise's 10th anniversary, I'd say whey where planning a somewhat All Stars series to coinside with the Anniversary, But where afraid with some of the Pretty Cures not being Grown up in the same way Ash Ketchum from Pokémon is not Ageing, They didn't go along with the plan and made Another Season with a new Team, And played it like a War of the Worlds kind of story.

Happiness Charge is still a messy story, with TONS of plot holes, and a lot of very dumb story decisions just to drag out the story.

@@Addition2 That's true but I think if you ignore all those issues, then you'd actually like the season. That's what I did when I rewatched it. Actually "ignore" is the wrong word in the first sentence. If you don't mind the flaws that the show has, then you can enjoy it. But obviously if the flaws are just awful beyond repair, to the point that you can't mind it, then...oh well~ There's 15 other seasons to enjoy!

Well, that was... enough to shake my memories for this movie. Precure is the only younger audience show I watch so the blood scene wasn't as impactful in me than any other. But maybe the EVIL CLARINET just erase my memories of it because how silly it sounded like. Well, we have Sad Camera (Miden) and Alien (mentioning it will be spoiler so I'll just shut up) as movie villain now so I guess I need to adapt to whatever manner of villain they decided to use now. Okay, back to movie. I agree that the 2/3 act of the movie is a solid story that is up there in the whole movie series conflict. I still think that Yes!Precure 5 has better start in that manner. It was rare indeed for Precure to use mortality as its theme and the scene is built very solid. The biting scene was a good one as well since Mallow is Mana's pet and angry pet bites their owner in reality. I was biten once for real by my angry cat when I insisted on holding him on its deathbed. This movie hit closer to home for me because we can't really always remember about the past, time heals a lot of things and we're going toward future. But it isn't like we should forgot the past, we just move on. ...... though the Evil Clarinet really destroys whatever feels I have during the first half of the movie. Like the 3rd act is just a full throttle bullshit that put the effort to built the movie during first half down to the drain. Seriously wtf man, it is as bad Hikaru being morally righteous out of nowhere. Okay this is a bit exaggerated but that is the gist of how I felt at the climax. I think that they shouldn't go to Future and just remain in the present for the climax to lessen the amount of bullshit. Mana last attack was..... underwhelming. Like, is that really the movie-special finisher? It felt like the writer realized that they haven't done anything movie-special form during the making and decided to shove the wedding dress and that sorry excuse of finisher with it. In short, this movie has good starting point but abrupt climax. If they went on with... idk, the movie villain is the Mallow shadow or some sort of the negative feeling of all junk getting a form. Anything but EVIL CLARINET. If I were to score this movie, I guess it would be 7/10 because of the abrupt mind erasing ending.

Agree with this. This movie can just do away with the 4th wall breaking, the time travel element, the out of nowhere villain, and the Miracle Lights, and it could have been easily the best Precure movie ever made. But I give them at least one credit for the 3rd act, at least the Engage Mode wasn't made from the Miracle Lights, THAT I can appreciate.

@@curepanda2646 They did it to heal Cure Heart's wound (as well as healing everybody), and to go the future. Maybe that also give some power boost, but for the Engage Mode, that was given by Marshmallow if I remember correctly.

Don't take The Mana Harem Lightly, they are the strongest team ever.

The last act was just a big WTF ever. But the ending I thought was nice for Mana.

Yeah, this movie has the most unexpected villain among all the precure movies ( and the series , i think ) . An evil clarinet.

I thought his movie was really touching, despite that stuff in the end, that is easy to ignore and just go along with it for me

20:12 - 21:01 You know, scenes like this make me have this theory about Precure: What actually happens in the world of Precure? Nothing They’re just a bunch of girls in costumes putting on TV shows and movies. What I'm saying is that I'm starting to think you should not have a suspension of disbelief when watching Precure. It's reminding me of another anime called, "Pani Poni Dash." An anime which looks like a live show made by people who have no idea how to make live shows; with the camera panning out to show the characters are clearly on a stage, characters showing up in scenes where they're not supposed to, and even set crews randomly walking across the scene. I know Precure doesn't have stuff like that, but with how the characters interact with the audience, whether it's showing them how the Miracle Lights work or how to dance in the theater, it might as well have.

Surprised some knows about Pani Poni Dash.

So, he is going to do Happiness Charge next. I was hoping he'd look at the other seasons he hasn't covered yet. Max Heart up to Pretty Cure 5 Go go. Just, seem like the thing to do before the tackling the anniversary season. Still, I did like the movie, thou not my favorite.

two things to say really: a doki doki love harem comedy with mana and her friends could be neat. and a precure movie, with both a villain that wins against the precure and the miracle light, and a sad reminiscense of what was lost, a emotion-null world, a dominion of hate, were the precure, lost all sense of self, with the bad guy they side, and finally, giving finality to what oersted´s hate began, what the villains were planing, and to the period of darkness in the land, after all, with a break of mental proportions, the world's loss, and evil winning, its time for a new bunch of heroes to rise, and take the mantle, to teach the precure a lesson. finally giving us a no powers pure bloodbath of a final foe, letting known that through that ill will, anyone can be his heir

Happiness Charge doesn't deserve all the hate in my opinion. It's a funny and good season with his amazing moments. But the qualuty and animation are bad in many episodes :( The movie is awesome, one of my favourites solo movies.

So I saw this movie for the first time after watching New Stage 2 and Smile Precure Movie. Thinking was a first and only blood-showing scene about dead pet. I really decently great this movie and wasn't that bad.
