Ah, the good old F-5! An absolute must for any lover of the Cold War era.

I leave the chocks on and put the left engine in full burner, then start the right from it's bleed air. Probably not the friendliest thing to do in real life. :)

Inspiration came from my white board that has my list of projects to complete, projects that I am waaaaaaay behind on🤣🤣 and yes....flaps.

Great Video. I have the F5 but have never flown it. Gonna give it a whirl tonight now that i know how to start it up. Thnx mate. Also, is there a hud of any description on the F5 as I didn't see any symbology on it as you took off.

There is a reticle for missiles and gibs when active. No other stuff on the HUD. It’s like a jet powered Warbird with missiles.

I find that VAICOM Pro + VoiceAttack makes startup a lot smoother for the F5-especially as I fly in VR-and, while I like to hunt, hunting on the keyboard is a disappointing experience.

You don’t need to touch the keyboard, depending on the joystick you have. Most of it can be bound.

What's with F-5 these days? The Air Combat Tutorial Library just posted startup video as well xD

@@veremenko One of TDCS pointed it out for me. It is unfortunate, but with great content from both channels we will have more F-5 pilots :)
