DCS World Cinematic Fan Film - This is why we love DCS!
Ойындар
This short film celebrates DCS World 2.7 and the countless hours of joy it brings to its community. All footage used was recorded in the simulation and was compiled to help our non-DCS friends understand why we love DCS so much.
The aircraft liveries used are those of RAF Air UK, an amazing UK based DCS virtual squadron full of supportive virtual pilots. A big shout out to 0405 Andrew, Wee Neal, Grizzly and Lobster from RAF Air UK for flying the Huey's in this film, thanks guys!
Thanks for watching!

@@flywithshuggs I think you could choose one plane and make a short sortie video. Have you ever watched "The Ghost", made with DCS, were 2 F-16 meet a phantasmagoric MiG-29? So immersive!!

Love the hornet flying into the sun. You should show f14 and f18 landing on carrier at the end. And maybe use after burners after jettisoning the fuel tanks that would be sick.

Thanks Steve, I don't play at that detail either but getting that cinematic feel only needs 30 fps so I dial all the settings up for the replay recordings knowing I only need to hit 30 fps.
This is very well done. Absolutely stunning. I wish I had the proper equipment to play this game. Maybe someday.

Thanks so much Chris. You can certainly start using DCS with minimal hardware and get a sense of whether it's something you'd like to pursue. My first experience was flying the free SU25 Frogfoot using my laptop with integrated graphics and my keyboard. It was running at 720p with all settings to low but it worked and I loved it. 🤗
Some of the F-14 and F/A-18 fighters in British colours look wonderful. Some time in the future, perhaps an 891/2 squadron F-14? Those were Phantom FGR-1/2 operating from the Ark Royal. An F-14 in those colors would be a nostalgic "what if".....
@flywithshuggs
2 жыл бұрын
Thanks Arvind, I completely agree and think F-14s would look sensational in those colours. The carrier in the film used the Arc Royal as inspiration for its paint scheme and I think ED might even be considering a Phantom module in the future so you never know...
Wow, great cinematography! Loved the carrier fly by! Lots of action. Really enjoyed this. So new Subscriber, keep em coming! Nice job 👍

Wow just wow. Sorry I’m new too DCS how do you get your replays and footage?
@flywithshuggs
2 жыл бұрын
Thanks so much Lane for your kind words. 😊 DCS uses Track files which are like replays for missions. They're not the greatest as you can't rewind them and they often result in footage that's different from what happened but they're the only way to record scenes other then when you fly them. Making these videos is painstaking because of the limitations of Track files but encouraging comments like yours make it all worthwhile.🙏

Did you know that its iconic airframe is the way it is because it had to carry the super heavy Phoenix missiles? The body is flat, wide and relatively thin because they needed the entire airframe to act like a wing and create uplift. That's why the actual wings are relatively small for the size of the plane.

0:51 How did you make this camera sweep?
@flywithshuggs
2 жыл бұрын
Hi Mike, I used a top right diagonal camera sweep with my keyboard (it's much smoother than a mouse) alongside a subtle Track IR tilt so that the plane wasn't at the centre of the frame. It's quite tricky but eventually got the footage I wanted.
:O
Does the RAF have A-10s ??
@flywithshuggs
Жыл бұрын
Hi there, it doesn't have A-10s. Other than the Harrier, I don't think any of the RAF's 3rd/4th gen aircrafts were in DCS although with the F4 being released soon, that will change. 😁
