Thanks for the video. Not sure it's standard procedure to dump a mk-82 over the Las Vegas suburbs. You might get called into the bosses office for that (or jail) :). But thanks for explaining the basics for the F-5.

Absolutely perfect video. Was just brushing up on my F-5 before taking her out for a spin since it had been a minute. Concise but fully explained. No needless intro/info/etc. Well done, Sir

I have been using the F-5 quite a lot these past few weeks, but I still managed to learn something new from your video: I didnt knew that you could eject not only the weapons, but the pylons as well :) Thanks a lot

Said it before, I'll say it again - Great stuff. Really appreciate how concise you manage to be while also covering the material well. Thanks again for the tutorials.

At 3:30 when you jettisoned the external fuel tanks and the Mk 82’s...did you notice you were over an urban area?

I couldn't get the TACAN to work yesterday and instead of fault-finding thought it was bugged... turns out mountains in DCS have the same effect on radio signals as in real life :D

I feel bad for the poor people in the residences and business below that just got a drop tank or other ordinance through their roof..

Nice clear vid as usual, one request tho Mr Tricker; is it possible to zoom in when you operate the controls e.g., Tacan etc. I watch on a tablet and find it hard to see.Cheers mate.Dangler62

Stupid question. Is Tacan broken on the F-5 now? The only way I can get it to work is using the Keyboard bindings to change the Tacan code. If I use the mouse it doesn't work at all. No morse code, no miles on the HSI, the arrow doesn't point at the Tacan beacon, nothing. But using the keyboard shortcuts LShift 8 and LShift 9, it works every time.

Nice Vid, I'm learning a lot from Your serie. One thing that I didn't understand is why after setting TACAN freq You must operate to set Heading and Course and how You determined the two digit 270 and 220. Probably the language (English is not my first....) or some tech knowledge I missing, but it will be possible to have some explanations or link to some discussions/video to clarify this? Thx.

Gabriele Ragano thanks for the comment! I'm using 220 radial as it was from the chart of 21L and I was intercepting that course at a heading of 270. You will have to search for navigating radials if you want more info on intercepting headings and courses to a navigation fix

@@heathermassey1957 rshift k brings up the knee board and then you can use the bracket keys to cycle thru the charts

How were you getting away with just 16GB RAM? I have 24GB and Windows uses like half by itself lol.
