Jesus christ. How simple this explanation was compared to the in-game tutorial. I don't know who wrote it, but the way they explained how the range works by subtracting from the total and multiplying by 2... I couldn't make sence of it. As soon as you said it's just divided into 5ths of the total range, then it clicked. I feel dumb now. If they had have just said that in the tutorial, it would have made more sense I think. Both these tutorials were great. Thanks, Tricker!

thanks for these tutorials, tricker! i used to have the darndest time figuring out this convoluted radar and you've described it excellently, just for me to agree with your conclusion that it's not really all that necessary haha. happy flying

That little box behind the throttles (acquisition, TDC, and antenna tilt) would be very easy to make for a simpit!

Is there a good tutorial for setting up toggle switches without a second button position? On the Warthog, they are on/null. I would like to use null for standby and on for radar on.

Nice simple video tricker. Any chance you could do some dogfight examples/instruction with agile opponents showing how to best use the radar guns

Curious, but under what circumstances would you even bother with the radar? In particularly: when would you use it to manually lock on to a target rather than just using dogfight mode?

I always use the radar too lock onto a target while trying to guns him because the radar provides ranging and lead for your target.

necro, but the dogfight mode will lock to something... or not. Manual, you know exactly what you're locking and if it worked. It also helps you to search for planes in bad weather, etc. I do agree that the radar is not super useful, since the F5 has no radar missiles...

So why should I use the radar when the missiles work without it? Isnt it better to keep it stealthy?
