well, its the only dbog game with potential. SnakeWorl has already given up on dbzfs remaster (confirmed by one of the new devs). DBOG is getting worked on daily (literally, most of the devs stay up to 6 am working on it). All content is done for the buu saga and other content, but they are working on the bugs and balances. Clothes got reworked (will drop next patch with hair, faces and more fixes). What DBOG suffers most now is fps drops. They have fixed that but not dropped it yet. Froms like SSJ4 have also been done. The reason why the players are mad now, is because ki users cant one shot bosses anymore (which is literally okay. No one is supposed to one shot frieza). Genos is one of those people. Also Ki buiklds are still VERY good (speaking from experience as my main build is a ki build). These balances are meant to balance PVP and PVE, while also normalizing balanced builds (to make it more like the anime). Patch 1.1 is this month (hair, faces, clothing, bugs and some content) Also, none of the players are even mad about the ki changes. It's just people like Lord Genos who will cry about anything.

​@@binkbink4864 the remaster seems pointless. Snake could have just added more locations for the next levels like 700, 800 etc. and people would still play. A lot of dragon ball content came out since last update so there's should be no problem with transformations. Plus there is already a lot of fanmade stuff in the game. They're just lazy let's be honest

They got new devs, and content is already finished. They are just working on the bugs and lag issues. (All maps are almost redone, being less parts with costs WAY less fps drops). The next patch, which is this month probably, will include clothing reshades, new hairs, faces, balances and some content. Patch 1.5 will be the huge update (Buu saga). And sonn has been fixing the game, but having to rewrite the whole script for years just made him lose motivation (he is now still working on thje game, daily) Lord genos just went in the server to insult the devs (like a little child) and acts like he is the bigger man.

i started a new save and got disappointed, the ki damage build i made was so weak..

After all these time, Idrc about all these drama tbh... But all I see is DBOG releasing unfinished and disliked content("rework"), ofc it comes with lots of bugs as well... I hope Sonny and his team actually feel bad for the ppl who actually care and enjoy playing dbog.

The A.I is also really annoying people who grind Grand Kai already know it he likes to spam his attacks nonstop hopefully it gets fixed.

I kinda agree with this video. I gave them the benefit of the dobut because it was a big game. But the fact that they were able to patch it and add the hairs quickly shows me they could have fixed it along time ago.

Thats the thing. They couldn't. Due to roblox updates, the script was forced to be rewritten SEVERAL times (which literally takes days to fix, so no wonder that the devs lost motivation). Bugs are getting fixed daily now. The devs are working hard and Lord Genos is known to just be a clown. He went into the discord server just to bully the devs, that tried to respectfully communicate with him. all content for the next updates is done (even stuff like ssj4 is done) and they don't silence critisism at all. Right now, they are just patching stuff up. The content update is WAY closer than we think.

I wouldn't even be bad if they were losing motivation its the fact that no one has informed the fans of dbog what's going on at all besides sonny. There lazy approach with dealing with this game is noticeable. It's not like genos is making this up.

Iam glad the update is on its way and even if genos is in the wrong (which I don't think he is) they are still kinda doing the same thing and not keeping us informed. So what if ssj4 and but saga is done I guarantee is gonna take a Fat mintue before the update even releases.

@@supertomato154 They are if you actually read the sneak peaks and announcements. Also they reveal stuff daily in general.. The content is pretty much all done now, it's just the bugs that are stopping them. They have reworked the map (reduced lag) and they also have testers testing it. THey honestly also have a small dev team. Its just Sonny and Red who do 95% of the work.

Now not to be a totally downer iam really glad they even released the patch and working hard on one of the best dragon ball games on roblox, But rest of the dev team is slacking besides Red and Sonny. While they give us "SneakPeaks" at the time they wernt fixing the actual game to make it playable. While they are doing great they could be doing better Genos Opions and statement arent totally wrong, But we should keep an open mind to the further events and be happy that the game is being looked at again (after 3 years)

This is a great video for it being your first real one, and pretty helpful since I haven't had a clue how the game was doing since I quit playing it a long time ago. Nice to know that my only slot, being an android, is now unplayable due to the ki damage nerf. I always figured there was a bias towards melee builds from the beginning considering that there's absolutely no distinction from basic melee attacks to melee supers and ultimates, meaning melee builds have both high damaging combos AND high damaging melee supers, while full ki builds only get high damage ki supers, encouraging a playstyle that relies less on combos and engaging with the main combat system and more towards running away, countering, spamming, etc. (I'm sure you remember when people would equip flying accessories like nimbus of frieza's chair to completely cheese the game and do nothing but hold the S key and spamming ki blasts to chip away at your health until you die.) As a ki build user, I REALLY wish I could have combos with actually meaningful damage like melee builds. Rant about questionable game design aside, can't wait to see what kind of videos you make in the future.

Thank you very much for the encouragement. I do actually have experiencing editing as I was a paid editor for a short time for a smaller Chivalry/Mordhau KZreadr and I've made a couple of videos on my main channel, but I appreciate the compliment nonetheless. It IS very shitty that you essentially have to delete your save unless you want to look for the Dragon Balls, which had their locations changed fairly recently meaning the map on the DBOG Wiki is likely useless, just like the Dragon Radar which you can't expand the range of despite Sonny clearly trying to make it operate like the one in Xenoverse. Speaking of the Dragon Balls, ki build saves being useless wouldn't be the end of the world if you could actually still WISH for a slot unlock. But, of course, Sonny and his devs would make less robux that way. Same for private servers even though he said they'd never cost money. I also agree about melee attacks having little variation. Volleyball Fist is basically just a basic rush attack with cracked damage, there's no other distinction that it has from an ordinary super attack. The only real Ki attack combo I ever used was the same one that the AI uses, usually blast volley > energy ball > energy wave. Needless to say it didn't do much damage. Melee combos, however, look distinctive and are unironically quite fun to come up with. My favorite right now is meteor break > arm crash> black monday, and I sometimes end it with double sunday. Anyway, yapping aside, thank you for the comment. It means the world to me.

My only issue is the stamina bar I put so many stats into agility to do a certain combo to melt npcs and now I can’t even do 2 of my moves

That's the big issue with 1.01, and why I made this video to begin with. People have been spending weeks, months, years making builds and tailoring said builds to their playstyle, right down to their own personal combos. With path 1.01 half of the playerbase completely lost all of those hours put into the game, and now with patch 1.05 the other half has as well, which is why I'm working on the script for a video talking about patch 1.05 as we speak. I'm hoping to release it within the next week, as I've been typing up the script for about an hour and already have about 5 minutes worth of voiceover recorded.

Imo I think the game should be handled a lot better but the devs are just simply lazy and do not care about the players and I would say they are money hungry but they are making little to no money off the game because of how many ppl have gave up on playing it with the xbox platform carrying it frl. (100th sub love this video really high quality btw)

Red and Rose are the only developers who know what they are doing. Both of them were active members in the PvP community, so they know what's best for the game.

While I appreciate you for not insulting me in your comment, I don't agree with you completely. If anything, being an active member of the PvP community means that they both have more incentive to nerf certain races or attacks based on bias or personal opinion, because they're invested in their W/L ratio. That'd be like having Draken in charge of attack balancing, it's just not a very good idea. I'm open to the idea of being wrong, but no matter how you frame this patch, it was a terrible idea to only nerf Ki attacks instead of both types because it creates a gigantic imbalance and discourages new players from experimenting. If they had the energy to nerf every Ki attack, they should have also had the energy to nerf every Melee attack as well, which SimplyGray seemed to disagree with by bringing up some completely meaningless argument about how many attacks are in the game. It's as if the developers have no ability to recognize when they make a bad decision.

I dont think theres really much wrong with the fighting style Gen 5, its just as PB-able as every other fighting style, the only real reason it's good is because you can do "LR" and quickly press X again before getting hit, until 50% of the moves where when u press LR you're stunned and vulnerable to getting hti I can't remember correctly who exactly said it, but im pretty sure it was Rose who said they hated Generic 5 players, probably because they kept losing to generic 5 players I dont think the solution is to nerf Gen 5 when it isnt even that busted, i think the solution would to buff the other fighting styles so instead of making all the fighting styles just as garbage and slow paced ass the others, make them all good and faster paced for funner PVP, this would bring us closer to fixing there being a whole "Fighting style Meta" because theres only a select few fighting styles that are good enough to even compete with the others, while half of them are just to garbage to compete with someone just as good as you if not better.

*UPDATE: Red, the lead developer, has posted a new announcement in the official server. This is what it reads.* "I guess this announcement becomes necessary seeing people like to talk on the stuff they don't know about. Dragon Ball Online Generations is a fighting game with RPG elements, thus the "fighting" in the genre means you also have a PVP system in it. It's not just a story in the dragon ball world, for this reason it has to work for both competitive players and casual players who just want to go through the quests and feel like they are a part of Dragon Ball. All these patches are doing, is set up the game to be decently playable in terms of mechanics and have less bugs as possible in terms of code faults. That way once it's done we can go back to work on the actual update which is update 1.5. Anything you got (and still have) when patch 1.0 dropped is unfinished stuff, that includes the damage of MOVES and especially KI ATTACKS. Any changes you are seeing for the damage and costs like the recent patch 1.01 ki costs and damage, are made to prevent both sides of the game to be ruined until a better proper balance for these skills can be made, aka it's an older version of the damage and costs the game had in it's previous years of life (2020-2021). That said any suggestion and criticism is highly approved and welcome, but that criticism doesn't have to become requests to change the way the game works just because it doesn't fit your ideal way of the game's experience. This game has been getting changes to pursue people requests for many years and that is leaving the real needed updates delayed like new content that actually gives the other people that don't fight each other something to do and to have fun with. No one is getting banned or wiped or anything for expressing their own opinions on the game." *1: DBOG is not a fighting game with RPG elements. It is a fighting RPG. Just like Xenoverse 2, just like DBZ Final Stand.* *2: This patch isn't setting up the game to be "decently playable" for ANYONE. Melee builds are laughing at Ki builds now in the server, but when the patch comes that axes their build too they're gonna be crying just as much because it'll essentially be the exact same as before; just with less damage overall on both sides. That doesn't solve anything, that just makes fights boring; which does nothing for the competitive or casual playerbase as Red claims.* *3: Why is it that we have to get punished so severely for YOU releasing patch 1.0 with "unfinished stuff"? The whole point of a game's official 1.0 is that it's the first complete, stable release. Red says that these patches are coming so that "both sides of the game won't be ruined" but that's exactly what he's doing. It doesn't take a genius to see that Red is having issues handling the discourse about the patch, and his feelings were obviously hurt since he's the lead dev and felt the need to make this announcement.* *4: A proper balance COULD be made. Instead of flat nerfing the damage of all skills and ACTIVELY MAKING one half of the playerbase extremely vulnerable to the other half that still deals good damage, why wouldn't you simply add something like stat caps? Red doesn't actually want to balance the game. If he does, he's doing an extremely shitty job and all this patch shows is that despite his scripting abilities he knows absolutely nothing about what he's supposed to be doing while filling the role of "Lead Developer".* *5: "That said, any criticism is highly approved and welcome, BUT" The "but" speaks for itself. You don't "approve" of any criticism, you're making excuses to save face and preserve your ego, Red.* *6: Stop lying directly to our faces. MegaDragon625 was banned for discussing the latest patch with another member of the server. The developers need to stop trying to sweep that under the rug to save your precious feelings.*

Interestingly enough, although it’s old, a mod was demoted off the staff team (by Sonny) for discussing his opinion on 1.5, saying it wasn’t good. Based on what I’m seeing, it sounds like the guy was temporarily muted and ended up leaving. This is based on what you’re describing and the fact they didn’t see any logs of him being manually banned. Call it a ban, don’t call it a ban. Whatever Also, while Red is the lead developer (I’m assuming he is), the guy still answers to Sonny. It just is what it is at that point. This is also just the FIRST part of the patch. I’m sure they’re going to tweak/patch up melee moves just like they did with ki. But overall I do agree with you about the state of the game as it is not in a good spot right now, but maybe there will be a time where it bounces back.

Thank you for approaching me in a respectful way, if you came here just an hour ago you probably saw what transpired in the server between me and a crowd of people that were making fun of me because I criticized the patch. I talked to Dragon just for a refresher on what exactly happened, and what he told me is that he couldn't actually talk in the few channels he was allowed to see after his discussion with Azazel. He was basically punished for being more outwardly against the patch than Azazel was. I'd probably leave the server too if I was in his position, because why would I stay if I'd just wind up being silenced like that again if I were even able to regain access to the server? My issue with Red is how he's handling criticism. The way he words his responses makes it seem like he can't handle any of it, and he always gravitates towards the implication that critics just don't know anything about the game which is a lazy and slimy way to deflect negative feedback. The way Sonny presents himself online makes it seem like he cares about and respects the playerbase; Red comes off like he *doesn't* unless they have nothing but positive things to say about the game. He's an abrasive person, and it didn't help at all that he opened up the discussion about my video by pinging me and saying "speak up". Not a very mature way to handle it at all, which is exactly what the lead developer should be. It's hard for me to trust the staff about not seeing any actions being taken against Dragon, because he tells me otherwise; and he's a mutual friend that I have with SaltySnowboi, whose word I trust very much because we're good friends and he's not the type to go out of his way to start drama. That and the fact that the staff members were constantly making excuses about why they couldn't just nerf Ki moves AND Melee moves in one patch, as well as how they wouldn't show me any audit logs to prove that nothing happened to Dragon's account on the server, makes it difficult for me to trust them. Again, thanks for being pretty respectful about approaching me. I appreciate it when someone shares a different opinion with me without taking a tone right off the bat or trying to intimidate me, which Red and every other member who wanted to get involved did. If nothing else, that shows that you're smarter than they are.

Me, i’m just trying to get both sides of the story with this whole silencing (if that’s even the right word for it.) thing because for all we know it could just be a big misunderstanding on one or both ends. I agree with pretty much all points especially the races Saiyans: good for melee damage, especially with the racial ability, but the problem with the racial ability is its only ever somewhat useful if you're fighting someone on your level of skill or worse than you. Which then, if they're worse than u, theres no reason for u to be low enough to use it, meaning u wouldnt even have a racial ability supporting u throughout the fight like some races, and if they're even with you, then it may help slightly (greatly if u get a stamina break on them, which may not be likely if they're kinda even with u) which basically makes saiyans for the most part...Abilitiless Kai: Garbage attack power but okay HP, racial ability is only helpful on a medium pace level, but is very helpful with the All-Out powerup stacked onto it, but even then does that even count? Namekian: In my opinion its literally just a worse majin, stat wise and ability wise, not much should be said abt it... Kanassan: Due to the update it's light is shining more, it's more useful and OP, the stamina is great and helps alot in pvp, letting u fight more aggressively with less consequences, plus stacked on Burter pose power up it's regen is god tier Half Saiyans: Roughly the same as the Saiyans, but its racial abilities useful ness is more punishing for more reward if landed, arguably a worse version of Saiyans Yardrat: Pretty solid racial ability, very helpful against people of your same level of skill, but very minorly helpful against better players Majins: I think the absorption mid battle thing is kinda stupid, its pretty much just a one shot kill move if landed, plus its way of winning the fight is very easy to win (Ehhem, autokeyboard presser) they should of made it so u had to press random button combinations that show up on ur screen instead to lesser the cheese and cheats, healing ability is fairly balanced with a good arsenal of moves to choose from to easily stop someone from healing Bio-Androids: Despite the buff, still a fairly useless race, the healing can be helpful sometimes but in a whole match you probably won't be saving to much HP unless u abuse it, but having to slow your fighting pace just to use ur racial ability (effectively making the game less fun) I find stupid Androids: nothing need to be said, we all know the demonic hell spawn that is the androids...Please nerf it PLEASE IM BEGGING U PLEASE BRO PLEASE (also might be a big reason on the ki nerf, which I think if they're making ki useless all because of 1 race being to OP with it they shouldn't be punishing every ki main that isn't an android for that... But the ki did do to much damage, but now it does to little damage) Frost Demons: Racial ability I dont believe is even working as of now...Plus the nerf made it garbage Demon: Solid, but the racial ability is kinda useless with how punished you can be simply for blocking (aka half of the things in the game taking away ur defense bars) Tuffle: Racial ability isn't even working as of now, but the race was pretty damn OP in 1.4...Against people even to u or bellow..Otherwise still useless Bojack: HP was nerfed to hell so the racial ability only slightly helps. but even as a bojack with almost 1.7k HP people still be doing a quarter of my health per attack... And if I recall correcly I believe these are all the races.. Most of them are either mediocre or useless

Another issue I have with dbog...like you said in your video is how the bosses all, like you said, feel like a solo raid boss with literally nothing in return besides a few levels and a master that, the majority of the time, give you nothing but more useless moves and a little extra EXP they need to add more rewards for the story quests or at least not make it so crippling hard for people who suck at the game as a good player myself, the bosses are easy to fight, but, even as a player who clowns on bosses for fun, they still take bloody forever especially as a lower level fresh into future as a lvl 200, the first story quest will probably take me like 20 minutes as a melee main alone...And as a ki build with the new ki nerf, as a guess, probably 30-40 or more No one wants to spend half their day getting like what, 56 levels? in a game where the max is lvl 500 and you're only half way there? with the npc's you're currently fighting not being even remotely close in terms of power as the ones in the next map? I mean like, Broly alone could probably solo all of Future Earth normal NPC's included, and u expect a lvl 300, barely any stronger than a lvl 200 to do that alone? Sure theres always the "then get a friend to help!" or "jump the npc with someone in the server!" but heres the thing... Only 2 people can fight 1 npc without it being a dumpster fire...but pretty much EVERY SINGLE NEWBIE doesn't know how to properly fight a boss 2v1 (Ehhem, one lowers the boss to stam break, then you both start hitting him as he's stam broken, do NOT launch him) and if a third hits the stam broken NPC, he gets unstambroken and evasives... Which pretty much means you can only get 1 person to help Which probably won't happen if you're a noob surrounded by a bunch of other noobs. And as a noob u probably don't have any strong friends to just solo the game for you either... So as a noob who sucks ass at the game, it'd probably take you WEAKS alone just to get to lvl 500 a player who's good at the game would probably take a day or 2 with non-stop grinding but thats also exactly the thing....Non-stop grinding...No one like I said, no one wants to play a game for 12 hours straight GRINDING. Grinding isn't fun the majority of the time, and DBOG isn't an exception... It's grinding is as follows Fight a multitude of annoying NPC's that spam attacks, constantly snap vanish, and have the most random skill levels of all time over and over again, which mind u as a noob none of them would be easy, and even as a good player they can sometimes be annoying if ur not a max level with good stats Grind bosses through story or history. which would probably take half of your day if u suck at the game just for roughly 50 levels from lvl 200 - completed future earth story and probably like 10 or 20 levels from there doing history... Pretty much you're going to be spending hours apon hours killing bosses over and over and over again for days on end just for u to get to lvl 300 to do it all over again but this time itll take even longer, with more lag, and its for 200 whole levels with multiple transforming bosses... Masters...Probably the easiest npcs in the game, that give u useless moves half the time with okay EXP and a free stat point at the end...Which also isnt fun and between ALLLLLLLLLLLLLLL of this, the literal ONLY things you gained, a little bit of zenni in ur pocket to spend on clothes that look like shit 90% of the time, exp so u aren't a weak little shit (unless ur a weak little shit that didn't know how to make a good build, which then ur still a weak little shit no matter what u do) and masters that give u useless things which u also need to grind for which also isnt fun And what happens if ur a lvl 500 with a garbage balanced build? Womp womp mother fucker, either spend robux for a stat reset, erase ur slot and grind all of that all over again, or get the dragon balls which will take u another few hours especially if u dont know where you're trying to look and have bad luck... pretty much the game is only fun if you're good at it, which is kinda hard to do since most of getting good at the game is LITERALLY just experience. And the skill level is also pretty limited with sling pretty much being the only way to progress in skill, either that or you take aspects of sling (such as space sling) without actually slinging to make yourself feel better for not being a slinger because for whatever reason some people hate sling OR get good at PB's which also isn't fun for either party pretty much the game just isn't fun for new players with multiple other aspects also making it unfun for pros as well... And on top of all of that it doesn't even feel like dragon ball in my opinion at least

Yeah I'm kinda on the same page. They are some of the shittiest devs I've ever seen. The game has been in fixing mode for years. Now it's in patch 1.0 and alot of shit is disabled. Moves are unbalanced. The only good change I've seen is the hair glitch is fixed and he added some animations for hair to flow when your aura is on. I'm just waiting for nexus to fully drop. Gonna put dbog in the past. But yet it's another game that is taking ridiculous amounts of time .

As I said to some other video about the new update, I can understand the vision, but 700-900 stamina for melee moves that really cost 200-500 at best is crazy and unnecessary imho.

I love DBOG and the devs that still work on it do I wish some things were different of course waiting more than 2 years just for them to not even be close to finishing the update and balancing I hope this game makes a comeback but nonetheless I love dbog

Hey! I saw you in the chat logs. Yeah, you guys both had valid points and criticisms of each other's points, both for and against the patch. I just woke up to a new announcement in the server essentially amounting to "People won't stop saying the patch is bad so they don't know what they're talking about", and stating that nobody will be banned for sharing their opinions of the game. When I asked why megadragon625 was banned if that wasn't supposed to happen for sharing his opinion, suddenly Red went completely quiet in the general chat. Things like that are exactly why I made this video, and why I went so hard against the developers; all of them. I appreciate you of all people for watching this video, and I appreciate you for having a good discussion about the state of the game right now despite so many players finding ways to deflect criticisms of patch 1.01.

Listen, to everyone who keeps saying that audio is only coming in through one of their headphones, I DO NOT RECORD MY AUDIO IN MONO. I RECORD IN STEREO. Make sure your Bluetooth speakers are connected properly, make sure your headphones are plugged in all the way, or get new speakers or headphones. My audio is fine.

Since I can examine things after enough push back, though, I'd check myself if I were you. Air quoting me as if I'm wrong about recording in mono or stereo having a significant effect on how audio is played through speakers was in bad faith and pointlessly confrontational. Deleted his comment. I guess it's too much to ask that someone willing to take a tone with me also has a spine

Which by the way it still sounds like crap. If its this bad now I can only imagine how bad it was before. Its still heavily weighted to the left side. Its not my headphones. Fix your audio Mr. "Producer for years". Besides idk why you would record in stereo it adds nothing to a voiceover, its most likely the reason it sounds like this in the first place. The voiceover doesn't need to be in stereo, mono would have kept it sounding direct and in the middle rather than to the side. Idk if you even know what mono or stereo mean at this rate. The game is fun, yes, but you start to have less fun when you end your Melee combo with a Ki ultimate and the Ki ultimate does less damage than all of the super attacks you did before that.

Your headphones might not be plugged in all the way. The black rings on the jack are meant to tell you how far you need to plug it in to get sound out of either your right, left, or both phones. If your headphones are plugged in all the way, I'd buy a new pair.

If you'd read my replies to comments complaining about my audio, you'd know that I don't record in mono, which is the only way you'd be hearing my audio in one ear. If you REALLY want I could make a community post showing the waveforms of this voiceover in FL Studio just to shut you up. I'm a producer, and I've been doing voiceover as well as voice acting for years at this point. Fix your headphones, and fix your attitude.

There's actually a moment in this video where I use Galick Burst and then a Ki attack while fighting Neiz in the gameplay footage and you can see the massive difference in their damage, so I'd like you to stop lying to my face. If you're going to attempt to gaslight me, you need to try harder. Found it, at 5:31 Galick Burst deals 1,991 damage. Then when I use Full Power Energy Wave at 5:38 it does 318 damage.

When people like Kaggy and owtreyalp stopped making Roblox videos, it really went to show that the KZreadrs were the actual life of games like Final Stand and DBOG. The devs for both games kinda suck so it was only a matter of time, that's just what happens when Roblox devs get clout. They think they can just coast when the reality is they're not a AAA studio and can't afford to stop updating their buggy games.
